Just got back from a chilly walk with Chhaya. It's snowing outside! Small snowflakes. Caught some in my mouth. Yeay, snowing in Vegas!

Just a few minutes left......
New Years is kind of melancholic Tatiana feels. She has been feeling extra emotional today and no she does not have pms.
There's some kind of underlying pressure around New Years. Expectations. Promises. And then it's over, just like that. It goes SO quickly.
It's even more sad when you are at an awesome rave and it comes to an end, the last song is playing and then it's over. That is really awful. Tatiana has cried a little after a few raves because she was sad it was over so fast.
But Tatiana had a nice day. Since she didn't go to sleep until after 8 am this morning, she slept in until about 12 30 pm. Called her Mom to wish her Happy New Year and after that she called her friend Rose-Marie. Then she made some food. And then she took Chhaya out to Far Hills so Chhaya could run and have some fun. The pictures are from there, close to sunset the first day of the year.
So Tatiana saw the sunrise and the sunset today. That was nice. Kind of a tradition for her.
Then she did some shopping, got a chai and a red velvet cupcake. Went home, ate, read and did some organizing.
Now, the radio is on, Coast To Coast. Tatiana is getting tired, maybe one more phone call to Sweden and then some sweet sleep. Tatiana LOVES to sleep, isn't sleeping the best?

It's almost 8 am here in Vegas. Tatiana is showered and prepared for bed, munching on some chocolate.
She was lucky enough to see the beautiful red colors of the sunrise paint Las Vegas this first morning of 2011. Vegas can be so very beautiful. And Tatiana's favorite time is early, early morning, when most people are still sleeping. Stripper time. People of the night time.
It's quiet, smells nice and fresh and the colors are gorgeous.
So New Years.......it was fun. Tatiana has not spent a New Years in Vegas in a long time. People come here from all over to celebrate this occasion but Tatiana prefers to be in LA. Well, not this year.
Tatiana spent New Years with her very good friend Shelley. It was really nice to be with her. And fun. First they went to eat and then they ended up at some freaky party at The Hustler Club. A new strip club here in town. A really nice one too. It wasn't only Tatiana and Shelley, there were some other people in the group too.
For some reason Tatiana got away with not paying any cover charge to get in to Hustler. That was a good sign.
Later when Tatiana got home and emptied her purse, she found a large baggie of coke in her purse too. Nice surprise! Just kidding......!
She found 11 cents in change, Tatiana took that as a good sign too. 11 is Tatiana's number. 2011. 11 cents.
Any New Years resolutions? Yes and no. Nothing specific but Tatiana has lots on her mind. She is bracing herself for many changes, positive changes.

This is the last day of 2010. Weird, huh?
Tatiana does not have any plans. She will not go to Together As One in LA, she would like to but she does not have anyone to go with. Lame.
Anyways, it will be ok with whatever she comes up with. She might drive to the outskirts of Vegas and watch the fireworks or go to sleep early. LOL.
She just wanted to wish all of you that read her blog a VERY HAPPY and WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!

Here are the toys that Tatiana got for the kids this year. But it was weird, she had a hard time finding a place that would take them. First she called the Marine Corps to find a drop off place, no answer, she left a message but nobody called back. Then she called Wal-Mart and they did not want already purchased toys, they had a different approach. Then Tatiana heard that a local church in Vegas was collecting toys for Christmas, so she called the church but they had all the toys they needed.
So the toys finally ended up at a state funded Methadone clinic on Industrial, close to Crazy Horse Too. One of the counselors working there said he would make sure to give the toys to the people that could not afford a present for their child. Tatiana was content with this. She hopes that the kids will like the toys.
Tatiana remembers when she was about five years old in Sweden. She was given a Barbie type doll by a woman whose daughter had many of them. So she gave Tatiana one of her daughters dolls, the daughter wasn't too happy about this. But Tatiana was in awe over this doll.
It feels good to give.
