Loser

I wish I was a superheroine today because I would jump into my costume and fly down to some crummy trailer park in Georgia and personally re arrange the face of a loser dude that unleashed his two dogs on a little cute pet piggy that got lost inside the park. Then he stabbed the little piggy several times (23) in front of some kids. This idiot was also charged with animal cruelty a few years ago for keeping dogs and cats in dirty cages with no food and water. SO WHY is he today the owner of (at least) two dogs I am wondering?!
The little piggy survived but is in critical condition at a vet's office. I don't know what is going to happen to the two dogs, unfortunately they are pitbulls and because of that fact alone the chances are high that they will be put down. I hope some animal lover gets involved and offers them a good home. I am sure they are good dogs that ended up with a shitty owner, something that happens all the time.
I hope the trashy ghetto loser gets jail time and I also hope that he gets raped repeatedly in jail by some large dudes until he bleeds profusely out of his ass.
I HATE people that mistreat animals. I wouldn't mind beating the shit out of those so called human beings myself, I would get immense pleasure from that. One more thing, since this guy obviously is cruel and unintelligent he should also be chemically castrated so he doesn't produce any kids that grow up to be like him. But since he is 23 already and lives in some trailer park in Georgia, chances are high that he already managed to impregnate a few chick. Too bad. But it is still not too late to castrate him to prevent any further spawning. I believe in population control and I don't want to share this planet with imbeciles like him and others that are like that.

Well, I have to take MY pitbull for a walk in the sun. If you have a pet I do hope that you love it and spoil it, if not you should not be a pet owner. Some people are not made to be parents or have pets, that is just how it is.
After the walk I am going to get ready. I am meeting up with some girlfriends for dinner later.

Packed Pound

This sad picture of this beautiful pitbull puppy is on the cover of the latest issue of the * Redoubt Reporter *. Of course that made me very upset, I wanted to go and get him right away, name him Rascal and just LOVE him. But I am not sure if Chhaya would accept another dog in the household, that is the problem. Otherwise I would love to get another puppy, preferably a rescue pitbull.
I guess the pound is packed here and you know what happens then right? That dog or cat that got abandoned by an irresponsible pet owner gets euthanized, a nicer word for * killed *. When are people going to understand that being a pet owner is a responsibility? Do not get a pet unless you are willing to take care of it the RIGHT way. Getting rid of a family pet because of a move or because you meet a new boyfriend or girlfriend that might not like dogs/cats or you get bored with your pet is NOT ok!. I can understand that sometimes certain circumstances come up and for some reason you have to "get rid of" (awful words) your pet. But don't just ABANDON it or leave it at the pound! HELLO! At least find a good home for your pet!
And don't get me started on spaying and neutering. I have already written several entries about that. People that view their dogs as some kind of supplemental income are HORRIBLE I think. For some reason that seems to apply to the idiots out there breeding their pitbulls like it is the thing to do. And then just sell them off to people that mistreat them or abandon them. I can say with conviction that I HATE certain people. The people that do this.
Chhaya has papers, she comes from a "nice" bloodline I guess. I have been asked many times to breed her, no way! By doing so I would only contribute to a problem that is out of control - unwanted pets. IT IS SO SAD! And do not get a pitbull because you think it is cool or you want to look like a thug or something, parading your dog around with a thick choke chain. BARF!
So of course I had to cut out the article about the pets at the pound here in Kenai and made a little flyer of it and put it up at work. It is the second flyer I made. I also have a little collection going. I must admit that I have not been that good at collecting money, I need to step it up!
A lot of the money in there is my own that I put in after a shift at work. That is where I keep my collection box. I am thinking to give all the proceeds to the * Peninsula Spay and Neuter Fund * here in town or half to the * Angel Fund * at the Twin Cities veterinary clinic. They help sick or injured pets. I have to collect more money first!

You can make a donation to the two funds I mentioned. You can contact Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic at (907) 262-4581 and call or email peninsulaspayandneuterfund@gmail.com for info, (907) 6902723.

Two of my entries that relate to this entry.

I Love Animals

If you do not know this yet, I love animals. I do eat meat, once in a while. I am a FLEXITARIAN, yes it is time YOU learn a new word. Basically I eat meat occasionally.
I have talked about this in the blog before, for example in a blog called Meat Free Monday that you can read here .
People are selfish, they feel that they can do whatever they want just because they exist - pollute, trash, eat meat every day, kill off animals in danger of extinction, collect ivory and the list goes on. The "it's all about me and what I want" mentality. Sure I can be selfish too but I try to not be too much like that, I have a hard time with people who are blatantly uncaring for others and that includes animals and nature too. Deep down I believe in the greater good and I think that we are all somehow connected like an invisible universal puzzle. Therefore I am against animals performing acts for our entertainment, like circus animals. How sad. If you want a circus, go see Cirque du Solei.
Yes, I have been to a few circuses in my life, a long time ago now and I would not go again because I do not want to support the captivity and abuse of animals. Do you think those elephants enjoy being locked up in cages, transported to different locations and performing tricks for crowds of people? No. Elephants do not belong in a circus or a zoo either for that matter. I am just bringing up the elephant as an example, I mean all circus animals of course. Same goes for zoo's. Also a sad place for animals. And a place like Sea World. Yes, I went but never again. I remember feeling bad for the dolphins and the killer whales. You know that dolphins live much shorter lives in captivity and that they sometimes commit suicide because they are captive right? Because they are sad, they do not belong in a concrete pool, they belong in the ocean. So think twice before you go and see the cute dolphins and pay big bucks to pose for those "adorable" kissing pictures with them. You are contributing to the problem when supporting this. Be part of the solution instead!
I did swim with dolphins once. In the wild in Hawaii. I was fortunate to be invited to go out with a couple of marine biologists on their boat, they were doing some studies on dolphins and knew where they were. So I swam with the dolphins , they were curious and beautiful and I was ordered to not reach out and touch them, which of course I obliged. Same goes for things like bull fighting and running with the bulls. To me it's barbaric and dumb. Who cares that it is some kind of a "tradition"? There has been many "traditions' here on Earth but that doesn't mean that they were right or good.
As we humans evolve so should our traditions and some practices do not belong in today's society. Or should we maybe bring back such practices like keeping slaves, witch burning, dog fighting etc? A circus or Sea World to me is a place where the masses are kept entertained and happy, same practices that the emperors of ancient Rome had. They kept the public distracted and happy by putting on violent shows for them, involving gladiators, slaves and animals. But we have "evolved" since those dark days, have we not? You might think that animals are here for your disposal. But actually, they are intelligent being with feelings. Have you read about the injured dolphin seeking help from the diver because it had a hook stuck in it's fin and was tangled in a net? There is a video of it too.
I am all for rehabilitation places for animals that have been injured or abandoned or lost their Mom are kept and nurtured. But not taken from their natural habitat to be suffering for the rest of their lives in captivity so humans can watch them.
Certain animals do not make good pets. I don't think any exotic animals do. Have you ever seen a macaw fly free? If you have, then (if you have a working brain) you should know that it doesn't belong in a cage in your living room.
It's easy to go to work and come home, stuff your face, piss, shit, watch tv, trample through life. Ignorance is bliss - absolutely! Then there are people like me, big mouth,
I think, I don't do much - yet. I do small things, I know I can and should do more. Hopefully one day I will make a difference. I am still halfway stuck in the trample through life like an idiot category. And then there are the activists, those are the people I admire, they are out there changing the world, making it a better place. I love animals. Do you?

Responsibility

The other day I read an online article about 92 puppies that were found abandoned along a country road in Texas......a few days later 42 more dogs were found.
SO SAD! 😥
All the dogs are believed to come from a puppy mill operation. All of the animals were filthy and "may have lived under horrible conditions." Yes, most likely they did live under horrible conditions because puppy mills are just that - HORRIBLE.

Or how about the guy that went on a difficult climb up a mountain with a friend and took his dog up there. When the conditions on the mountain supposedly became bad and the dogs paws were full of sores, he just LEFT his dog up there to die. Two other hikers found it and organized a rescue group to take the severely injured, very scared and probably sad dog down from the mountain. The original owner wanted the dog back, he was denied the rights to his dog, instead she got adopted by the couple that rescued her. Good call on that one I say! And how can you just leave your dog like that? Unbelievable!

Puppy mills are very bad business. Please do not get a puppy that might come from a puppy mill. Do some research first.
I also have a very hard time with people that breed their dogs to make a quick buck with no qualms whatsoever about what's going to happen to the puppies. ESPECIALLY the people that breed pitbulls like that. I have a soft spot for pitbulls since my Chhaya is a pitbull. SO many of the dogs in animal shelters are either pitbulls or mixed pit breeds. Many people get a pitbull and then don't have the means or don't know how to take care of one and then abandon the dog.
Recently a dog fighting ring, described as "horrific", in Bronx got busted and yes all the dogs were pitbulls. HORRIFIC is just a scratch on the surface, people that treat animals like that should be put away for at least ten years, they do not belong in society.

I could had made a small fortune breeding Chhaya, I've had MANY requests to do so. I would never do it, what is more important? The well being of my beloved dog and her puppies, or money? My dog of course!!!!
The best thing you can do if you want a dog is to get a rescue dog. Hands down. Kudos to those who do! ❤
I did not get Chhaya from a shelter. I got her from a couple in Vegas that I strongly suspect let their female pit have many puppies for a nice profit (at least two litters I think). Both of Chhaya's parents were on site, the puppies were well cared for and the place was clean. But still.
Chhaya is the light of my life, I do everything for her. Before you get a dog, stop and consider the responsibility that comes with that. You have to invest both financially and time wise. Chhaya eats a lot, needs care like brushing and going to the vet. She needs a good long walk every day (though she doesn't like walks when it's raining) and fun adventures. Play. She has been on top of Mount Charleston outside Las Vegas and Mount San Gorgonio in CA, Flattop outside Anchorage, many fun hikes and visited hot springs. If you are a lazy and unmotivated person in general then a large breed dog or a high energy dog might not be the right fit for you. Get a toy breed or a cat, or maybe a lizard or a fish.

Take Action

Tonight I sat home and watched The Cove . It's a documentary about the slaughter of dolphins in Japan. September is when the season for slaughtering the dolphins begins. So it's going on right now - unless people can stop it.

http://www.takepart.com/cove
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cove_(film)

You can sign an online petition

http://www.takepart.com/cove/takeaction

I am not sure if this petition is outdated, the movie was made in 2009. But I still signed it.
You should too, it only takes a minute!
In the documentary you can watch the dolphins get slashed while the ocean is red from their blood.
I would rather beg for money on the street than make a living like that. And dolphin meat is high in mercury, enjoy eating it.
People are disgusting. But what else is new?
And yes, of course I am against dolphins being used at aquariums world wide, like Sea World for example. Even when the excuse is made that we can "learn something" from them. How would you like if somebody caged you up for the reminder of your life and studied you? Ponder that for a minute.

Anyways, I am at home tonight. Thinking about the evil things humans do to animals, the environment and each other. I am glad I don't have kids. I wouldn't want my offspring to grow up in this world.

Right Now

I could not pull up my blog from my house yesterday, don't know if the strong winds the other day blew a tower down or something? My internet was super slow and that was highly irritating.
Anyways, I brought the Tatiana show over to Coffee Roasters this afternoon. My make up artist is here, hair stylist, personal assistant, PR person - I roll like J LO, sans Casper of course. I am just sitting around looking cute & casual, writing my blog, posing for an occasional pic with a fan and writing autographs.
LOL!

Have you read the story about the farm worker caught on camera abusing the turkeys at a Butterball turkey kill factor? More workers are being investigated.
You might not think it's a big deal to torture animals before they get slaughtered for consumption, hopefully you are a compassionate person and do care.
My eyes are full of tears and my hands are shaking right now when I am typing this because I feel upset and sad because of that. I do not eat turkey.
Those birds live a hellish life before they end up slaughtered. Sure the meat is tasty, I've had turkey before - until I started caring.
I am sure that the conditions for the factory/farm workers are bad and that they are underpaid and overworked. I feel bad for the people that work in factories.
But it is not the animals fault! If anything, the animals are the ones suffering the most. Animal abuse and torture is NEVER right. Would you feel ok eating a cow, pig, chicken or turkey if you knew somebody tortured it, made it suffer and scared it right before it died and eventually ended up at your plate? I hope not.
It is easier NOT to care, I know. Ignorance IS bliss. I have my own problems and things that I am sad and worried about. Like right now I am not at all motivated to go to work because it feels meaningless and boring. I have an awful mortgage to deal with. I have bad days. But at the same time, I have to care about things that are not right. And I can't stand animal abuse. So if you can, make at least one day or even better two days a week a meat free day, if you are a meat eater.
Look at the bigger picture. The world is about everybody and everything, not only YOU. Or me.
