By some chance occurence, I've wound up in Denver with a two strippers, Julia and Tatiana. Due to oppressive heat and lack of clientele, the two are in Denver to work at a local topless concern for the next two weeks. However, a couple weeks ago Tatiana developed a chemical burn on the back of her upper thigh. We think this burn developed from exposure to Ortho-Max Roach Control, but it could be from exposure to Pine-sol, bleach, ammonia, meth lab explosions, unsanitized stripper poles...who knows? The burn was patchy and showed up as bright red with blisters. As the burn has had time to heal, the skin is now very smooth (and a little shiny) and still a shade of light red/pinkish. It is still very evident that there is a burn there. Clearly, this could adversely affect her nightly take. Make-up can only do so much for her, and she wants a quicker, more permanent solution to this problem.

I will offer to purchase a lap dance from Tatiana for the poster giving the best advice...redeemable only in Vegas after September 1st.

hmm.. not quick (as in here today, gone tommorrow), but perhaps a skin graft? that'd require a plastic surgeon.

consult a dermatologist maybe? perhaps you could PM Matt Flynn.

Go get her a Henna tattoo to help distract people from it. You can either cover it up or incorporate it into a design.

Maybe she could wear a sarong or some sort of cloth around her waist (think belly-dancer) that goes low enough to cover the burn, but is still see-through and hot.

Edit: Or, body-paint herself, covering up the area, maybe a dragon or a chinese character, simple and not suspicious.

The first time we visited Denver, Julia got sick. Because of the illness, she ended up missing a few days of work at Shotgun Willie's. One of these days, she dropped Tatiana off at the club and began driving back home to the Niagara Motel.

The Niagara Motel is on a street called Colfax, with many interesting shops and people. Julia and Tatiana had noticed a neon sign in a house window on Colfax that said "Psychic Readings & Palm Readings." On this particular day, Julia was extremely bored and cranky as she drove by the house with the sign. Upon arriving back at the motel and realizing that she had nothing to do, she decided to make a trip back down Colfax and visit the psychic who lived there. Maybe she could tell Julia something interesting about her future?

The psychic's name was Leslie, and she told Julia that she knew she was there for more than just a psychic reading. Julia sat down on the couch and Leslie began talking. She described Julia as a flame on a candle that no one wanted to get too close to for fear they would get burned. Leslie then told her that she believed Julia came from a family with many psychics in it. She said there was something in Julia's past, perhaps from another life, that was preventing her from truly being happy. Leslie said that the only way to get to the bottom of things was for Julia to have some sort of 'spiritual bath', in which Julia would travel back in time and discover what was bothering her. This 'bath' could be performed by Leslie and would cost several hundred dollars.

As you can imagine, Julia was very disturbed by the reading. She drove back to the Niagara Motel trying to plan which day would be best to have Leslie do the bath.

When Julia arrived at Shotgun's to pick up Tatiana, she told Tatiana all about Leslie and the bath. Tatiana was curious, so after some careful thinking, she came up with a plan. Tatiana would go pay a visit to Leslie the next day, and not mention anything about Julia. Then we would compare notes and decide what needed to be done.

The next day Julia dropped off Tatiana at Leslie's so she could investigate further. When Julia came back to pick her up she couldn't wait to hear what Leslie had predicted about Tatiana. Basically, Leslie told Tatiana that she was there for more than just a reading, she was like the flame on a candle, and something was bothering her that she didn't know about. Leslie said Tatiana needed a spiritual bath and even wanted to charge her a higher price than what she had quoted Julia. Also, Leslie quoted Tatiana higher prices for regular readings as well.

We decided that Leslie was not a good psychic and she was only trying to make as much money as possible. Julia was happy that she didn't need the bath, and Tatiana was happy to have gotten to the bottom of things. No more psychics !! (for now....)

Shawna called down to Julia from over the balcony.

Julia was pulling her pink Hello Kitty suitcase to the
car, preparing for a night of work at Shotgun Willie's.

'I like your Valley Girl look', Shawna said while smoking
a cigarette.

'Wait right there, I have something for you I think you
will like.' Shawna disappeared into her room. She
returned a few seconds later and threw something
over the balcony for Julia to catch.

'I think those would look really cute on you', she
explained. 'They're brand new, and I have like a
hundred pairs, you can have those.'

Julia held several pairs of brightly colored lace thong
underwear in her hand. They were super small, and
she knew they would never fit her.

'Um, thanks Shawna, but I could never fit into these.'
Julia was touched by Shawna's gesture. She threw
the underwear back up to the second floor.

'Thanks for thinking of me!' Julia didn't know what
else to say.

When Tatiana heard what had happened, she
decided that they should give Shawna a gift and
a stack of gossip magazines that they were finished
with.

Shawna had been very helpful when Julia was sick,
coming down to their room with large pill bottles full of
Sudafed, Claratin, Benedryl, and Advil Cold & Sinus.
She told Julia and Tatiana to call her in room 207 if
they ever needed anything.

So the next time they were in Boulder, they found a
nice soap and a candle for Shawna. But Shawna was
nowhere to be found when the girls went to her room
to give her the gifts. Julia and Tatiana left them beside
her door, hoping that she would find them soon before
one of the other guests got there first.

A few days passed and they heard nothing.
They tried calling her room but got no answer.

The morning that they left, Shawna was standing over
the balcony smoking her usual cigarette.

'Thank you guys so much for the soap and the candle....'
Shawna called down. 'No one ever gives me anything.
The soap is sitting on my dresser. That was so nice of
you to think of me.'

Julia and Tatiana didn't know what to say.
Doing something nice for someone who is not expecting
it can be rewarding.
