Mommy's Angel

I love my snoring baby. She is sleeping and I am up, reading stuff online. Soon time for a bath and sleep.

Out of products

First World Problem alert! Tatiana ran out of products, her fave MAC pink lipgloss, Clinique lash doubling mascara and L'Occitane night creme.
OH NOOOOO!!!! But she is not too worried, she is heading to Anchorage in a few weeks for another photo shoot, so while there she will get new products. But this time she might try the DiorShow mascara by Dior.

Tonight another at home movie evening. Back to work tomorrow.

Good Morning

It's almost 5 AM, I am fresh out of the shower and ready for sleep. I worked all week and planning on taking tomorrow, actually today - off.
And I am looking forward to that. I want to eat lots of good food and watch movies.
But now......sleep.

Blankets?

Work was good last night, I sat around at talked about things like the Kent State massacre, Woodstock and Groundhog Day (the movie).
And in between this most pleasant conversation, I went on stage and did dances.
Speaking of lap dances.........I brought two blankets with me to work, two smaller blankets, they are baby blankets and very soft. I have a larger blanket in my locker that I wrap around me if I am cold. But the reason for these two new blankets........potential germs.
See, I've been thinking.......what if a girl I work with has some kind of infection down there, in her VAGINE or around it, it can be anything from a yeast infection to a more serious std, like an outbreak of herpes and she does a nude dance......could I then get what she has?
I ALWAYS sit on a small towel on all the chairs and benches at work. There are some girls I work with that I think have questionable hygiene and they plant their ass down, clad only in a small
g-string, on the chair and people's laps. I don't want to sit in that, so therefore I sit on a towel.
I have like eight or so towels in my locker that I go through and of course, take home and wash. But I noticed that if the stage is dirty, I break out on my butt but then what if a person that I dance for have dirty pants or even worse, some kind of a germ on them that I don't want?
I heard some stories about a girl that spread her yeast infection to several of the other girls a few years ago. And I also hear stories of a girl working in the club I am at right now, that supposedly has many "boyfriends" outside of work that pay her for her services. I heard this from four different people. And if she sleeps around with lots of guys, even if she is using protection, there is a higher exposure risk to std's, and she is sitting around on the chairs at work and does nude lap dances.
So I am thinking that I am going to put down a blanket in the lap of the guys when I do a dance. We had a girl that did that last summer, it looks a little odd but why not? Better to be safe than sorry, yes? Or maybe I will just put down a blanket on the people that already had a dance before they get one from me.
And no, I do grind non stop on people, there is lots of moving around, standing, leaning etc and you CAN position yourself so that you don't really touch your private part on somebody but it is still close. Very close. And I am kind of a germaphobe, I don't share straws or drink out of the same bottle, unless I know the person. And I don't have any infections and I want to keep it like that.
Herpes you get for life and though I feel bad for the people with this very common std, I do not want it myself and sometimes people have an outbreak that is so small that they are not even aware of it. And honestly, some girls would probably go to work and continue on like nothing is wrong even if they were aware of an outbreak, because they just don't care.
In clubs were there are topless dances only, I don't worry as much, though I always sit on a towel. And I usually wear a small g-string underneath my Honey Dew panties, that are kind of like a boy short cut. So I am more covered down there. But in the clubs where you do nude lap dances I sometimes worry because you don't know about other people........
Anyways, here are the blankets. I think they are cute.

My neck of the woods

More pics from the area I live in, in case anybody is curious.
Had a great day today - so far, feeling happy. Did errands in Soldotna earlier, came home and laid out in the sun. Squeezing in a quick blog now. About to take Chhaya for a walk, she is outside on the lawn right now, soaking up the sun. Later.......work.

I love cute little coffee shops and there are quite a few of them around here, these two are located in Soldotna. I think it would be fun to work as a barista or maybe even own my own coffee shop. I have an idea for a concept in my head......

Sweets at The Moose Is Loose, a must stop for me when I pass through Soldotna. I can't resit it.

Chhaya posing with the wooden carving of Les Anderson and his record salmon.

Another pic of the Kenai river taken from the bridge in Soldotna. The pic I put up the other day was too dark.

Where I like to eat

If you have been reading my blog for a while (which you should, like every day!) then you should know that I love food. I am a huge foodie. There are not that many good places to eat at in Kenai and Soldotna I think. I have been to all the "better" restaurants and they are not that great, quite disappointing actually. Especially if you have dined in Las Vegas or New York or other larger cities and can compare. Homer, a city about 70 miles from here has a few good places. So does Girdwood, I love Maxines. And of course there are great places to eat in Anchorage.
I do not cook much, I am too impatient and lazy, therefore I eat out a lot or bring the food home.

I like Odie's in Soldotna for sandwiches and soups.

Maria's in Kenai for Mexican. It's a small drive up place and I always get the huevos rancheros, not on the menu, you have to ask for it, they make it spicy - which I like.

I also like Veronica's in Kenai. It's a cute place and they have good salads, sandwiches, soups and desserts.

I get a latte from somewhere everyday. Sometimes at Coffee Roasters in Kenai. They have good scones and muffins too but sometimes those are stale.

I like St. Elias Brewing Company in Soldotna for the pizza and the ambiance. I heard that Katinas in Kenai has good pizza too but I have not tried it out, yet. I love pizza, who doesn't? I also still have to go to Charlotte's in Kenai - I am curious about that place and heard that the food is good.
For the people that like hamburger, really don't go to McDonald's (yuck), try the Burger Bus in Kenai.
I don't eat burgers but that place supposedly makes them right.
A place that I don't like is Louie's in Kenai. Unless you like dining inside a taxidermy, they have so many dead animals hanging on the walls and furs draped in different spots, it's creepy. Sure, it's Alaska but I do not need to enjoy my meal while 50 dead animals are hovering all around me and staring at me with their glass eyes.
Harry's in Soldotna is bad too. I had breakfast there once, I though it was a joke. The worst crap ever. I almost didn't want to pay for it, it was that bad. Never again!
And speaking of breakfast, I haven't found a single place that offer a GOOD, hearty breakfast with some home style fried potatoes. It's all frozen hash browns, some dried up slices of bacon and eggs, yuck. And they think they should charge you for that crap too.
