Hair Color

I got an email from a girl asking what hair color I use. You might wonder......."does Tatiana color her hair?" YES, I do! I don't change my hair color, I hide my gray hair. I have written about this before but I don't remember mentioning any specific products. I got my first gray (or do you spell it grey?) hairs around 18. It's supposedly hereditary (the premature graying), the Chinese believe it has to do with the kidneys and the blood in the liver. Could be true......when I was three I was hospitalized for a lengthy stay, something was severely wrong with what the doctors thought was my liver. I was very sick.
So what I do is I only color the gray areas, the new regrowth. I have an area where I have a larger spot of gray, on the right side of my head and some more spread throughout. Not my full head.....yet. LOL. This is only further proof of my high intelligence! And if you don't think that girls color their hair whether it is to change the color or camouflage their gray hair, think again.
I heard that Jennifer Lopez colors her gray regrowth every nine days. I am not as diligent......
I usually do it about every five weeks or so.
I use Argan Oil Hair Color by One 'N Only. And the 20 Volume developer by the same brand.
I mix three different shades together to match my own hair color as closely as I can. You do not have to go to a salon and spend lots of money to color your gray hair. I have been doing it at home myself and my hair looks fine. You need a brush for applying the developer and the color, that you mix together in a bowl according to the directions.
Remember to use a good deep conditioner once in a while. I like the Morrocan Oil products. Make sure you leave in the deep conditioner for at least 30 minutes. Also you can coat your hair in coconut oil, massage the oil into your scalp and sleep with it overnight. Guys can do this too!
I think that blow drying, flat ironing, over styling and over bleaching is what damages the hair the most. I never blow dry my hair. And I use a wide tooth comb when I brush it. I don't use hairspray or any other styling products either.
Before I found the Argan Oil Hair Color I used Clairol Deep Conditioning with Soy Complex.
It was good too but I like the Argan Oil better, it feels nicer - more gentle and rich. You can find them both at Sally Beauty Supply. And before I used the Clairol I used box colors that I got at the grocery store, like L'Oreal .
There are companies that are trying to develop a pill that will reverse the gray hair to it's original color, there are some pills out on the market already. I would maybe consider trying a pill like that if it worked for sure and if the side effect weren't too severe, like explosive diarrhea......
NOT good for work! I would have to charge extra for a lap dance with a shart ending.
At least $ 60.

Stalagmite

There is a giant stalagmite icicle outside my house, me and Chhaya discovered it today, it's at the back of the house and I haven't been back there for over a week. What did I do today?
Took Chhaya for a long walk. Ate a lot, I am being a food monster again. Watched movies. Chewed on my cuticles. Once in a while I chew on every finger, don't know why. Once I start I can't stop but I think I'm done now - for this time. I also think my lazy "vacation" is over. It's time to get serious with work and the gym. Let's see if I can keep that promise......HA!

So Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) tickets for Vegas went on sale yesterday. They (Insomniac) actually had an early ticket sale back in November when a limited amount of tickets got released and sold out in like 40 minutes. This year they are only selling three day passes. And that costs
$ 289 plus service fees for general admission, so a total of $ 326. I don't think that's ok. Last year you could buy one day passes, although I did go all three days and it was about $ 100 cheaper.
I know a few people that won't go this year because they think the price is too steep. I also think that they should reveal the lineup at the same time the tickets go on sale. I have no doubt that the rave (or massive or party like you call it nowadays) will be amazing and feature many great dj's but I don't think they are doing the ticket sales right this year. So I doubt that I am going.......in Vegas. Instead I am planning on going to EDC in Chicago with Angelica! That is going to be SO MUCH fun, she loves HOUSE music as much as I do and Chicago and HOUSE go way back. I got it confirmed from a reliable source that EDC will happen in Chicago in May.
Unless something goes wrong, like the venue falls through.....or something. And I have another event planned for the end of August, we'll see.......
Here is a pic of me and Angelica at EDC in Los Angeles 2008.

New Stuff

Here is some of the stuff that I got for my birthday and/or Christmas.
First of all I love my new silver cuff and the long dangly silver earrings. I've been wearing that every night at work. The rings I got in New York, they are stack rings. My new obsession!

Small, pink clock. So KAWAII!

Clarisonic Mia face brush. I have been wanting one for a while now.......I haven't used it yet, when I do I will tell you about it. But I have been using a brush for cleansing my face for years now. I got it at Body Shop but I know that Shisheido sells them too. It's not like a Mia, it's a manual brush. I cut down the bristles a bit to make it firmer, I soften it under hot water before I use it and pour some of my facial cleanser on it and clean/massage my face in a circular motion. If you don't do this yet, you should. I think it exfoliates and keeps the skin nice.
Also a bottle of bronzing shimmer oil by Lucy B . Very pretty, especially on tanned legs.

The way to a dancer's heart is through her feet. So true! I got a couple of foot care sets and some Hello Kitty bath products. Speaking of feet.....I need a pedicure, I have been doing them myself lately because the last couple of times I went to the salon for a pedi they did a shitty job. I can do it better myself for no cost.

A John Bauer print. I LOVE art by John Bauer! He was a Swedish painter and painted lots of princesses and trolls, deep dark forests and mysterious lakes. Sadly he died young in a shipwreck. My fave is this princess, her name is Princess Tuvstarr and this is a very famous print of her looking for her heart in a lake. I want to try to recreate this in a photo shoot, maybe next summer.......?

Pink & Gray

That's what I am wearing today......I like the color combo of pink and gray. Those are my new workout pants btw (Hard Tail), cute! Not much going on here in my neck of the woods today, it's cold. Like 14°F. It was about 20 degrees warmer last week and it felt toasty out compared to how cold it feels today. Had my latte and a scone earlier, doing laundry and thinking about if I should make an effort and go to work tonight or be lazy and stay at home.......? I think I am leaning towards the being lazy part. I am warming up the leftovers from last nights dinner soon, yum!
Do you recycle? I do. I think that everybody can do their part. Even if it's a small part, better something than nothing! I recycle glass, plastic and cans, I collect it in these bins outside and then I take it to the dump when the bins are full. I know that they make new glass bottles from the recycled ones and also used the crushed glass in building roads.
If I have any food scraps over, like potato and vegetable peel, apple stalks etc I take it to the forest for the animals. There is an area I always take the food scraps to and almost everything gets eaten overnight or that same day. One thing that I can't stand is when people trash in nature, leave behind their beer bottles, cans, chips bags, spit out their gum on the ground and whatnot. I can't stand that! To me it's extremely rude and disrespectful to do that and shows that you are very egotistical and use your brain minimally.

Another Dusty Douchebag

I recently saw off some friends that I had over for a dinner at my place. I like making nice dinners once in a while, lighting many candles and having friends over. I tried a recipe for a chicken dish that I have never made before. Yes, I do eat meat once in a while, although it's rare. The chicken, chicken thighs to be precise I stuffed with crushed walnuts. Then I folded the thigh and attached the ends with a toothpick, then fried the chicken in the frying pan in butter. I made some mashed potatoes that I served topped with roasted walnuts. I also made two sauces, avocado sauce for the chicken and brown sauce for the potatoes. I made the avocado sauce from scratch and the brown sauce came out of a bag. Very yummy! Dessert - blueberries, strawberries and fresh whipped cream. And champagne, it was a belated New Years dinner.
It was so good that I think I am going to invite a few of my girlfriends from work in a few weeks for the same meal, a Valentine's Day celebration. I am already looking forward to it.

So I sat down in bed, opened up my laptop and saw this article on msn.......

"Texas lawmakers are cracking down on strip clubs. State Rep. Bill Zedler has authored a bill requiring exotic dancers to get a license -- and wear the document while performing.
Asking strippers to get licensed is nothing new. Several cities in America already have that requirement. But Zedler is getting attention for his suggestion that the dancers "conspicuously display" the license -- with their real names on it -- while working.
Zedler, a conservative Republican, thinks it might deter women from choosing the profession. "They won't want to get a license as a stripper from the state of Texas," he said, according to the Star-Telegram. "I think it would keep a lot of girls from getting involved in that lifestyle and basically wrecking their lives."
In order to get the license, strippers would need to be at least 18 years old and take a class about human trafficking awareness and reporting. The license will not be given to anyone previously convicted for human trafficking, prostitution, public lewdness or possession of child pornography. "This will force everyone to clean up their act," he told the Star-Telegram.
"Overall, it will be a benefit to everyone concerned."

Bill Zedler a conservative Republican is also a dusty old douchebag! How typical that some old man that has not much knowledge of strip clubs besides the obvious - that girls take their clothes off in them, is taking it upon himself to crack down on strip clubs!
Ummmmmm......you HAVE to be 18 to strip. Hello! Unless you use a fake ID. I highly doubt that any girls working as dancers are into child pornography. I don't know if the same goes for some of the men that go to the clubs. Human trafficking? I am absolutely against human trafficking and have even mentioned it several times in my blog. I have never witnessed or suspected any human trafficking going on in any club I have worked in. I did hear of some girls at Crazy Horse Too in Las Vegas that supposedly had pimps. I am absolutely against pimping as well. I think there is much more prostitution and human trafficking going on at truck stops across America, massage parlors, the streets and motel rooms where men go after responding to sex ads they find online. I have personally NEVER slept with anyone or done anything sexual for money.
I guess you can argue that going on stage topless and/or naked and doing lap dances is sexual although I personally do not feel like it is sex at all. To me it's entertainment. Nobody is touching any of my "private" parts ever, that INCLUDES my boobs. To me that WOULD be sexual and I am not at work to engage in that. I never put my hands down in anyone's pants or give them any kind of happy ending. If you really want to know I can count on less than my five fingers on one hand how many guys I have slept with in the last ten years. I do not like to be intimate with many people. But that's me. Other girls might not feel the same way and that is ok too as long as they do what they want.
Bill Zedler is talking about forcing everyone to clean up their act. Really? My act is clean.
I am NOT ashamed that I am a dancer (my occupation doesn't define me), I am supporting myself, nobody is taking care of me. I am not on welfare. In fact, I have economically helped out several people throughout the years. I'm a rather generous person. I do not feel like I am wrecking my life. I have worked with girls that had a very promising professional career staked out for themselves outside of the strip club and I have also worked with girls that didn't.
But that's life. Not everybody is working on some kind of a career. Just like the reference Bill Zelder make about "the lifestyle". What lifestyle? Drinking and drugs perhaps? If you are into booze and drugs you are most likely going to do that regardless of the strip club. There are plenty of addicts out there that have nothing to do with strip clubs.
I don't drink at work, neither do I use drugs at work. And that reflects on my life outside of the club as well. I rarely drink or do drugs. But if I am going to do that I am for sure going to enjoy my drugs or alcohol to the fullest in some fun place and that would not be at work.
I do not feel like I'm doing anything wrong by dancing. Bill Zelder should look into his own act and do some cleaning up himself, what a righteous pontificating prick! As far as displaying a license with your real name, first and last...... Why? What's the point of that? To scare girls off from dancing? To display our personal identity so perhaps some sexual predator we might encounter at work can find us, stalk us and maybe hurt us? So then the guys that go to clubs and the women that come in as guests too for that matter should display a badge with their first and last name I assume? That would only be fair. Not that I meet many sexual predators at work
(I hope), I meet mostly nice people believe it or not. Some are assholes and annoying but that's good because that gives me material for my blog! 🙂
In Las Vegas you do need to get a sheriffs card before you can get hired in any of the clubs in the city. The sheriffs card is valid for ten years. They basically check that you are eligible for work in the US, that you are of age and not convicted of a felony. Fine. You need to have something similar to work in the casinos in Vegas too. I am aware of a few other clubs around the country that require something like a sheriffs card too. But to talk about prostitution, child pornography and forcing people to clean up their act, that is taking it too far. Bill Zelder is basically saying that all dancers (strippers) are prostitutes, might be engaging in child pornography and are overall no good and lewd women. So not true! And very disrespectful of him. As a feminist I am protesting this.
Sure, some dancers sleep with guys they meet in the club. Some for money and some because they want to. It is actually possible to meet somebody you really like inside a strip club. I know of girls that have met the love of their life in the club. Marriage and happiness ever after - or something like that....... And yes some clubs are "dirty" and the owners and managers should make sure that the dancers follow the rules and get rid of the ones that don't. Then girls like me would thrive. I would love to meet this Bill Zelder for a debate. And good luck on passing that bill, Bill. Don't you have anything more important to deal with in Texas?

Shut Up

I think it's rather comical when guys come into the club, sit back and throw around negative comments about the girls that are working. I don't care if somebody has anything negative to say about me......I am perfect ;-) as you all can see from staring at and inspecting all my pictures on my blog.......and whatever you have to say about how I look (if it's negative) runs off me like water. Sure, I agree some girls should NOT take their clothes off in strip clubs, I have worked with girls that fall into the "scary" category. Oh yes. But after working with them for a while I can usually see something cute in even the scary looking ones. And then we have the trashy and vulgar ones, probably worse than being scary looking I sometimes think. I do wish that clubs would be more picky with who they hire to dance......But then of course I can go to the mall, a bar, a regular club, the grocery store etc and see the same thing. People looking scary or acting trashy. But what I wanted to bring up here is when I hear dudes sit around and talk trash about the girls. When they are nothing special themselves! I hit a guy across the face with my sitting towel not too long ago because he talked badly about a girl I work with. Granted, she has seen better days but she doesn't need to hear this while she is on the stage, keep your opinions to yourself in certain situations. Unless you look like this you need to shut up! And that's all for now.
