Slakthuset

After an hour nap last night I was ready to go out. We went to Slakthuset (the slaughterhouse) the club is to be found in Northern Europe's largest area for dealing with meat. Kind of yucky and creepy (horror movie environment) but the club was great. Upon walking in I felt like I was in the "No Good (Start The Dance)" video by the Prodigy. And that is my kind of club, I don't like upscale bottle service chi chi places, I like the places where it's all about the music, the bass and the dancing. Where you drink water and care more about the music than anything else.

I went with my brother that basically has the same music taste as me and lives on the dance floor too, although I do have more energy than him. I even woke up earlier than him today and managed to take a long shower, wash my hair, put on a mud mask on my face and go to the store before he crawled out of bed and then he complained of being sore. What?! Amateur!
I even managed to impress one of the dj's last night, he came up to me and complimented me on my dancing and some other non important physical attributes that he appreciated.
I was very happy when I left the club, it was over at 3 am, way too early for my taste.....I never want a good night to end.

But I have to go to my Mom's house now....she is waiting with barszcz.....Polish beet soup. Very yummy!

Vete-Katten

I woke up after not even five hours of sleep. Hello jetlag! Back into city again, about a 25 minute ride on the pendeltåget (train) from where I live when I'm in Stockholm. I was looking forward to breakfast....prinsesstårta at a cafe called Vete-Katten. Freshly made, soooooo good. I enjoyed every bite to the fullest. After that some strolling around town, looking at stuff. Some iced tea later. I'm at home now, thinking about maybe going out tonight for some HOUSE music and dancing, not sure yet. Either that, or staying in with pizza and movies......HOUSE music sounds fun though. Although me legs are tired, I'm back in Sweden....we walk a lot here.

Sightseeing

After passing out from lack of sleep, I got up around 10 pm....took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, threw on some jeans, a hoodie and sneakers then me and my brother went out for a few hours of late night sightseeing in Stockholm.
We did a loop from Söder, through Gamla Stan (Old Town) down to City and Östermalm.
It was like I was never gone. This is me looking at the view of beautiful Stockholm from Gondolen.

Dalahästar. These are traditional statuettes carved out of wood then painted, usually red but they come in different colors. Many people that visit Sweden as tourists will end up bringing one home, most of the time not as large as the ones in the pic.

Mårten Trotzigs Gränd. This is the narrowest street in Stockholm, you can find it in Gamla Stan. Old Town.

More from Gamla Stan. I bought a latte and it was gross but I sipped on it while walking. Tomorrow I'm going to have a proper kaffe latte and some prinsesstårta (my fave cake).

I found a payphone. I needed a pic wit it. Of course. It's good that my brother is a patient and willing photographer.

My brother Robert.

Sergels Torg aka Plattan.

I'm so ready for sleep now, have to catch up on it. Godnatt!

Sweden

Surprise! I'm in Sweden! I arrived a few hours ago and now I'm at my brothers apartment charging my phone and deciding on what I'm going to do today....it's 3 pm here and today happens to be the National Day of Sweden. Lots of stuff going on in Stockholm tonight! Sunshine and 20 degrees C out. I can't wait to meet up with my family, all my friends, have latte (fika) and eat yummy food! More from Sweden later.....
🙂
