I'm finally in bed after a rather busy day. I went to the pool again, hopefully I will keep this routine up through the winter. I got to the pool late, I only had 30 minutes until closing but I still managed to do 36 laps. Michael Phelps might have competition! And I had the whole pool to myself, I wish I could bring Chhaya inside.....she would love it.
After that I took Chhaya out for a long walk, found some new trails that are really pretty. I love it when I discover new fun places for me and Chhaya to walk. Then I saw a sign warning people of recent bear sightings on the trails.....although bears are super cute I'd rather not come face to face with one.
After that I did errands, got some take out food and ice cream, came home, ate, relaxed a bit with a book and then I got busy cleaning for a couple of hours. Now I am in bed with almond oil in my hair. I heated up the oil first and then I rubbed it into my scalp and poured it all over my hair. I also put a honey mask on my face. I used to do a face mask at least once a week and some form of hair treatment about twice a month but I have gotten lazy on that bit. I am sleeping with the almond oil in my hair overnight. Another hair treatment I used to do is mix egg yolks and olive oil, put that in my hair, on with a shower cap and leave it in for about an hour. I've read somewhere that certain nationalities spend more time caring for their hair, doing oil treatments and masks, especially Indian and South American women. While a lot of women in the US spend more time coloring, blow drying, styling and flat ironing their hair and that is of course not that good for the hair. So spend more time caring for your hair than shocking it with heat and bleach if you want better quality hair. I need to step up my hair care regimen with some form of a treatment like the almond oil twice a month besides only conditioning every time I wash.
Hair oil and honey face mask. Very NICE! Borat likes VERY much!
