The best places to be a woman

The best places to be a woman.......
I saw this article in a paper a while back and the other day when I was out doing some stuff around town I saw it again, plastered on an announcement board. So I took a picture of it.
Well, topping the list, the Scandinavian countries, Sweden in second place. The US is in eight place. They base this on how many women are involved in and hold significant positions in politics, health care, education, justice, financial issues. And depending on what poll it is, the results will differ. I checked out a few months old poll online today, where the US ranks as number six and not one Scandinavian country is even in the top five, I find that hard to believe.
I want to bring something up. They outlawed strip clubs in Iceland a few years ago. It is illegal for any business in Iceland to make a profit from the nudity of it's employees.
As a dancer - what are my thoughts on that? I understand where Iceland is going with this. They strive for equality between women and men, they don't want women to be seen as sex objects, something that can be bought - a product. Perhaps they are worried that stripping might lead to prostitution for some women. And of course there is the always prevalent problem of trafficking.
In Sweden it's illegal for men to buy sex, they prosecute the men if they get caught. Not the prostitute. I am not sure how it works if it's a man buying sex from another man.
If I would had still lived in Sweden I can almost with certainty say that I would not be working in a strip club now. There are some clubs in Sweden but from what I understand they are far from what the clubs are like here in the US.
I was a student at the University of Stockholm when I kind of on whim took a break in my studies to come to the US. And not to work as a stripper, may I add, that happened later.
So, most likely I would have had a degree by now and be working somewhere (normal).
And my Mom would had been very happy to have her daughter home in Sweden, doing something "nice" and "intelligent". She does not want me stripping, of course, she thinks that I am wasting away my life doing it but she accepts it because at the same time, she knows that I have a good head on my shoulders.
I was studying criminology when I left Sweden and only 30 people/year would get accepted to that program. You don't pay for college in Sweden, you get admission mainly based on your grades. I have a cold/warm relationship with studying. I do really well in subjects that interest me and I am awful at and totally bored with stuff I don't like or understand. Like anything that has to with with numbers. I just don't get numbers.
I was also eying journalism, that was my number one pick but I didn't get accepted that year.
I was planning on reapplying at some point. My Mom always said I should had been (and should still become) a politician or a journalist, due to my loud mouth and opinions about everything. I agree with my Mom. 🙂
I love journalism and I very much admire people that report on and write about important issues. I admire people that DO something to make the world a better place. Though I think that I personally would be too scared to travel to a country where it wouldn't be safe for me to move around. Imagine getting captured and tortured by a group of extremist, no thanks!
I wonder sometimes if strip clubs fill any positive function in society or if they only, in the end attribute to negative factors.
I never do anything that I am not ok with at work. I get upset when I see girls break the rules, they don't see the bigger picture. They only think about that nights (or days) income.
But really, it is up to the owners of the clubs to make sure the rules are being followed.
And be diligent about it too.
Would I recommend stripping as a job to somebody else? Not sure. It doesn't lead to any promotions or job security. No 401(k). Many people look down at girls that strip. Some girls can't handle it at all and should not be strippers. But I'd rather strip than work in a store or a factory for example. There have been times when I have been so annoyed with dancing and so over it. But I know that I would go crazy if I worked in a clothing store. I am speaking for myself here, some people like working in clothing stores - not me.
I've heard from some people that I take the easy way out, that I profit from the way I look.
I don't know about that. Easy way out to me would be being on welfare. Or snagging some wealthy guy, get pregnant and married to secure money for myself. Or have some kids and either be a stay at home mom or a mom collecting child support. Any woman can squeeze out a kid or a few - being a great parent is the real job, not all are successful in that endeavor. I have always been independent. Yes, there are times when I do think that I am not doing anything useful at all while stripping. Of course.
Like, how am I making the world a better place, contributing to anything of importance? BUT I refuse to act dumb at work, even though - sadly, I know that it could sometimes make me more money. Some men are intimidated by confident, outspoken women.
And I would like to say to all the girls that might be thinking about starting stripping......don't do anything you are not comfortable with, ever!
Don't let a guy you meet at work talk you into something that you are not ok with. Sure, in the beginning I wasn't comfortable with going on stage or doing lap dances but that was because I was super shy, felt awkward and clumsy - not because I felt abused in any way. Besides, you have to go on stage and do dances.....that's part of the job.
And to all the dancers out there that might read this, follow the rules please! Have some respect for your coworkers. Girls that do "whatever" at work (NOT part of the job) are the girls that give strippers a bad reputation. You need to do extra stuff that bad? Get a room! And no, I don't mean the "VIP room" now.
But I know people with "regular" jobs that don't do much of anything useful and important either, besides make sure they can pay their bills each month. I guess we are all suppressed humans of varying degrees caught in the rat race. Some hate their jobs. I can't say that I do.
I have lots of freedom, travel if I want and have fun too. But it also feels totally meaningless at times, for me at least.
Being a stripper doesn't mean that it is all that you do, that it is all that you are.
Some outsiders can have a problem with seeing past that.
You can be a stripper and also work on something absolutely spectacular on the side, something good, positive, creative etc. Many do.
BUT looking at the grand scheme of things.....I would have to say, I probably agree with Iceland, FOR NOW. I am all for equality and the empowerment of all of us. So maybe banning strip clubs is a good idea after all? Even though that's what I do for a living. But while I still do it......I will do it the best way I know how - without compromising myself in any way. As far as nudity goes, that's not compromising myself to me.
I don't have many hangups with being topless or nude. I grew up in Sweden after all...... ;-)
Here is an example of that.....taken from an interview with Heidi Klum that she did with Tatler magazine.
"Heidi Klum doesn’t mind her parents seeing her naked. The German-born supermodel said she is comfortable with nudity and her family all have an “easy going” attitude. “My parents are still naked. I mean, it’s not like we’re hippies and we run around naked, but if they happened to be in their room changing or something or someone comes out of the shower, they’re not, like, ‘Oh my God. No. Close the door’.”
Europeans are much more comfortable with nudity, wouldn’t you say?"

And while I was looking into this ban on strip clubs in Iceland, I came across what an ex stripper, Jennifer Abel, wrote.
read here
I agree with a lot that she says. Like how she preferred stripping to working in a restaurant or that she doesn't think that strip clubs fall into the category of "sex industry" jobs. I don't either. Yes, I acknowledge that I am topless, even naked at some clubs I work at. But I don't have sex with people, far from it. I personally would not be ok with that, if that was part of the job.

And the worst places to be a woman.....? Well, basically places where women are told what to do, don't have any rights, can't vote, are not allowed to drive a car, get stoned if they stand out in any way - all that stuff.

She was "too Westernized"

How do you murder your own child? Well, believe it or not - many people do. Some people, an alarming amount to me, should NOT reproduce. They do not make good parents. Like the two first cousins from Pakistan that married and moved to England. They decided to suffocate their 17 year old daughter with a plastic bag while her little sister watched. Why? The 17 year old was "too Westernized" according to the parents (monsters) religious beliefs. That would be Islam in this case.
This is a huge ongoing problem in Western Europe, immigrants from Muslim countries come in and are chocked that men and women are equal!
I KNOW! Shocking! Women are allowed to vote, drive a car, tend to their daily lives without a male escort, they can file for a divorce. They can't get stoned to death when their appointed to them, much older husband gets tired of them and wants a new, younger version. Whaaaaat???
This is very difficult for some immigrants to accept and they do everything they can to keep their children separated from the "evils" of Western society.
I have seen this with my own eyes, growing up in Sweden. But this goes on in the US too.
Some families even opt to have their little girls circumcised even though it is totally barbaric and against the law in Westernized countries. Though I personally belive that boys shouldn't get circumcised either. Hygienic reasons? Nah, if you wash your crotch with soap and water on a regular basis you should be fine. The foreskin must be there for a reason.
Well, these loving Pakistani parents finally got sentenced to life in prison. Now they can sit there and rot away. How A MOTHER could allow somebody to hurt her own child, a daughter in this case, is unfathomable to me. But it happens all the time. Mommy's that don't do anything to protect their children when their boyfriend is beating or molesting them - because having a man, any lousy man in your life is more important than caring for your children.
I also think that imposing a religion on a child is wrong, whether it is Christianity, Islam, Catholicism, Mormonism - you name it.
People should think for themselves and make their own choices in life regarding beliefs like that. I had to go to church growing up and it was BORING and basically a complete waste of time, for the most part. But my Mom just followed tradition and didn't "know better" I guess. She just wanted what she thought was right and best for me. She didn't force me into any serious church going but I did have to go through Communion. The white dress and all, that my Mom sewed herself - it was really pretty. I still have that dress.
Well, today I am spiritual and don't really label myself as a Catholic or anything else. Just a human on this planet, a neo hippie of some sort. Trying to do something good one day I hope.
Where was Allah when that poor 17 year old girl got murdered by her parents?
I have brought these issues up before in my blog. I keep going back to injustices against women and people mistreating their children and animals because it makes me upset and I don't think people talk about it enough. At least I don't hear anything about it when I sit at work listening to people talk mumbo jumbo. Sometimes I try to start discussion, I try but you know........it doesn't really lead anywhere.
Well, I feel really bad for all the girls and women that are subjected to honor killings. I hope there will be an end to that kind of behavior soon.

Some more thoughts on pro-life zealots and stuff.......

Ahhhhhhh........I just got back home from a refreshing run. Enjoying some hot tea now and the feeling of my two sweaty sports bras plastered to my skin. I wear two sports bras when running, I do not like any boob bouncing at all.
So while running I thought of some other stuff I would like to add about pro-life zealots.
I am very curios to find out if there are any pro-lifers out there, good ole' church going folks that have actually been caught and charged with either child abuse, neglect or molesting their own or other people's kids? I am sure those stand up citizens exist amongst degenerates of the likes of me. You know, immoral no good women that take their clothes of for a living. Jeez! Come to think of it........there are plenty of examples of pastors caught red handed doing things to little children that I would never dream of doing. Or look at coach Sandusky.......a prime example making recent headlines.
So before these angry freaks congregate and yell outside abortion clinics while preaching about Jesus and the wrath of God, they should be cleaning up in their own backyards first.
I am sure no woman skips into the clinic to have an abortion with a huge grin on her face.
It's not exactly a FUN thing to do, having an abortion like shopping for a new Prada purse at Neiman's. It's something, that I can safely assume, women do not do without some kind of sadness.
I am a spiritual person, I do not go to church although I do believe in a higher power.
And chakras. I believe in being kind to others and animals. And having respect for the Earth. Sure, I can be a mean bitch - if I have to be. But I try to be mindful and think of the bigger picture and not be totally egotistical and wasteful.

Tune back in tomorrow for some more pics of MEEEEEEE! You know that it is good for your health to look at women in various stages of undress.
And since I am such a nice and caring person I am going to put up more pics of me for everyone to gawk at while improving their health.
Namaste.

Good Morning all my fans!

I managed to drag myself to work last night after five days of not feeling motivated to leave my house, well I was not feeling motivated to work to be honest........That is the problem I think, I am bored and not motivated to go and work. That is why I like it when I travel for work because I have more energy to actually work and I put in more of an effort while at work. It's good that sometimes I can just sit around and look pretty and guys will come up and either hand me money or ask me for a dance.
Last night I had the misfortune to witness a chunky older lady that I unfortunately work with get her big tits sucked on (loudly) by a large ruddy man. In between the tit sucking they also made out. TOTALLY gross! Please get a room! Actually I think they did, he left and a shortly after she got dressed and left too. At midnight. That's kind of early to leave unless you don't feel well or like what I think happened in this case, she met up with the guy from the club. Good! I'd rather have her get those floppy tits sucked on outside the club than on the bench next to me so I have to be traumatized by it. Thank goodness I do not have to resort to that crap, I would need to be heavily medicated to go through that every night at work.

But anyways, yesterday while reading Newsweek I came across an article that pissed me off.
It was an article called "War of the Wombs" talking about a somebody called Keith Mason that has started up a pro-life group called Personhood USA. It's funny to me that MEN are out there rallying against abortion, getting all fired up, yelling, demonstrating and praying outside abortion clinics. Sometimes even using force against the staff of these clinics with deadly outcome.
This Keith guy is against all abortions, even if you have been RAPED. He is against abortion in ALL circumstances. How sweet of him! He is also against Plan B, the morning after pill.
He and his wife have four kids together, to me that is at least two too many. He met his wife while praying outside an abortion clinic. Awwwww, how cute!
I believe in population control and think that individuals that live in "modern" countries should be intelligent and educated enough to know that having too many kids is selfish from an earth friendly aspect. Nobody stops and thinks about the potential future they might be sending their offspring into, is there going to be enough resources for them to be able to survive and live a good quality life?
I am absolutely pro-choice and think that getting an abortions should be up to the woman or the girl, even if you happen to be under 18. I do not think that women should use abortion like a contraceptive but I do think it is safe to say that the vast majority don't. Of course there should be a time limit and there is, on how far into the pregnancy it should be allowed and safe to go through with an abortion. But to go from giving women the choice to decide over their own bodies to totally ban abortion is wrong.
And actually after all the weekly news I read of people mistreating their children by leaving them in hot cars, allowing their boyfriends and husbands to rape them and dismember them, abusing their own children in every kind of evil way.........I am thinking that those innocent children would had been better off getting aborted. Don't you think so too? There are TOO MANY people out there having kids without stopping to think about what responsibilities come with it, the sacrifices that you have to make. They just become pregnant, squeeze out the kid and hope for the best and some of them should NOT HAVE KIDS AT ALL. Obviously. Look at all the kids suffering in the hands of their sk parents.
It is better to have an abortion instead of having a kid and then not giving that child the good, stable life that every child deserves. I treat my dog Chhaya better than some people treat their children.
So to force women to give birth even if they become pregnant by rape or if they do not want the child to begin with is just wrong. I wish MEN could stay out of women's issues like abortion. I am not praying and/or demonstrating and insisting on that men cut off their foreskins or do any other mandatory changes to their bodies. So leave women alone and let the ones that opt to have an abortion be able to go through with it in peace without having to get harassed by a hoard of angry bible thumpers outside the abortion clinics.

Having said that.....I am now taking my very much loved and very well taken care of Chhaya out for a walk.

Bill and his new interns

Here is Bill Clinton surrounded by his lovely new interns. The ladies have great skills in........the bedroom.
Really, it is a pic that raised some discussions because it is Bill at some fundraiser in Monaco and the ladies are supposedly porn stars. I have no clue to who they are. I am only familiar with Janine, Kobe Tai, Jenna and Sasha Grey. I am not sure what function the ladies had at the fundraiser, maybe they are involved in some charities or something? Arm candy?
But anyways, I do not think it is a big deal that Bill took this pic. There is nothing wrong with doing porn IF that is what you want. I am against any type of forced porn, or prostitution involving pimps or trafficking. If these ladies are ok with it then I do not care. I also think that girls should wait until they are in their 20's to do porn to make sure they are mature enough to make a decision like that. Me, I can only be intimate with somebody I am in some form of a relationship with. But that's me.
I am sure that there are plenty of people out there that think I am a nasty slut and of questionable character because I strip for a living. And that's ok, they don't know me personally. At least I am making an honest living and I do it as classy and nice as I can. You do not have to hustle or be vulgar while stripping.
Sometimes I wonder about people that are involved in politics and banking, many of them make millions by scamming others and have no qualms about it.
I like Bill, he seems like a fun guy. But I love his wife Hillary. I do not agree with what he did with Monica back in the day, what I don't agree with is the cheating. That he had sex in the Oval Office and got caught lying to the public does not bother me. We get fed lies everyday by the government. From what they tell us to what they put in the proceessed food available for us the consumers in the stores, gas prices, taxes and the list goes on.
I actually think it is more shocking that Kim Kardashian attended the White House Correspondents' dinner than Bill posing with some porn stars. To me, Kim is trashy and fake. She got famous for having sex on camera. So she is no better than anyone else doing porn. She seems plain dumb too and way too self involved for my taste.
As far as Bill and Hillary go, they have their own adult relationship and every couple has their own rules and agreements. But to me, Hillary is one sharp lady. I would love to meet her one day for some afternoon tea.
And yes, sometimes I wonder if women and society as a whole would be better off without porn, lingerie ads and strip clubs. Because I am a feminist too and I wonder if this hurts women ulimately. But I can only speak for myself. I do not think that I am compromising myself, neither am I ashamed over what I do, nor am I hurting anyone. Would I recommend stripping to girls? Hmmmmmm.......probably not. And that it because it is a dead end job, meaning it leads to nowhere profesionally. There is no job security. No chance of advancement, no 401 K plan and such. I think many clubs take advantage of the dancers with outrageous house fees, fines for ridiculous stuff etc. On the other hand, there are many other jobs that people do that don't lead anywhere either. And I do not think that a degree from some college means that you are an intelligent peson. I've met many idiots that held degrees. In conversations with them or by observing them I have been amazed at their stupidity.
In the end, I guess happiness is what matters. And that means differents things for us all.

Well, it is cold and cloudy out. I might go camping this weekend so I hope the sun comes out. My plans for today.......get off the couch and go get my latte. Mmmmm yummy.......latte's makes me happy. Take my girl out.....she makes me so, so very happy. Go running. Go to work. Count my money....... ;-)

Baggage

I just read some article about a man, here in the US that has 30 kids with 11 different women. To me, that is totally disgusting. First of all, as a woman.....I would had never allowed myself to get pregnant by him, let alone even date him.
That guy should be forced to have a vasectomy. I do not approve of mindless breeding. For humans and animals.
I do not have kids and I actually would rather not get involved in a relationship with somebody that has kids. I prefer men with no kids. Kids are like baggage, they come with baby mama's and potential problems. I would consider it if the guy was my dream man, somebody I felt very strongly for or if the kids were grown up already, like teenagers.
But a guy with a toddler or even worse, two or more toddlers, no thanks. When I hear about single people with small kids that date around I get annoyed. I think they should concentrate on being a parent first and only and forget about the dating until later. The first five or six years of a child's life are crucial for how the child will develop as an individual and if you constantly date around and bring home new "mommy's and daddy's then I think you are being an irresponsible parent. How do they find the time to date with a few small kids to take care of, if they are the primary care giving parent that is.
And really, who would like to date a person with 30 kids already? What a turn off. And what about Octomom, she has 14 kids and she takes care of them all, no daddy around. I don't think she has too many suitors. But maybe she isn't looking either.
I watched the new Bachelorette (Emily) the other day and some guy was on there and he was a father of six. Of course she didn't want to date him, I wouldn't either. How about you build a strong relationship with your wife first before you start to reproduce? And stick with the marriage. Six kids are four too many. One or two kids maybe.
And I think the Bachelorette herself should be happy that any guy wants to deal with her and her baggage, meaning her kid. Actually, she should be single a few more years.
Sure there are always some exceptions of great people that make it work and are amazing parents even though there is one child or a handful of children involved. But most of the time, I see some questionable parenting.
