Well, since my voice is almost gone due to my cold I decided not to work. It's difficult to talk and it would be next to impossible to communicate with anyone in a loud club. Plus I get intense sneeze and cough attacks that make my eyes tear up, that wouldn't be too fun to get while on stage or during a dance, I hope I feel better tomorrow.
So my ego is somewhat bruised after the "rejection" at Flashdancers. I worked there years ago and I liked it, did well and was liked by management. So of course I didn't think I wouldn't get hired this time around. You have to audition on stage. There were so many girls there, the dressing room is almost impossible to move around in, it is not large enough for all the girls and their stuff. No lockers, your bag and shoes are basically on shelves and on the floor. Well, the manager told me that he is not hiring right now because there are too many girls due to the holiday season. He said MAYBE after the holidays.......MAYBE......

And sent to over to their other club, Private Eyes a few blocks away and told me I could work there, so I walked over there.
Private Eyes was not like Flashdancers......at all. Actually about 15 girls got sent there last night from Flashdancers because they did have too many girls, so I know he wasn't lying about the too many girls issue. But still, I did audition on stage, nothing crazy in this club, most girls just kind of move around slowly and sexy, looking blasé ,no fast dancing at all. And then he said no. I think that if he really would had "liked" me, he would have hired me, despite of the too many girls factor. Hmmmmmm, so yes I am disappointed. I got a good look at some of the girls at Flashdancers and there were similar to the ones at Private Eyes, lots of Russians and Eastern Europeans, I met a girl from the Czech Republic and one from Turkey. And there were a few very pretty ones at both clubs but far from every girl was gorgeous, either skinny body and bad face or kind of normal looking body in "stripper standards". Nobody larger sized that I saw.
A normal body in stripper standards is not really the same as a normal body would be for "regular" women, just like the top models don't have bodies that look like regular women's bodies. Or maybe I should use the word average here. The average woman's body.
There was one very beautiful girl from Estonia at Private Eyes and one more that stood out look wise, the rest were ok, some had bad faces. Most girls looked depressed and didn't smile and it was a slow night. Management were all nice and did say that it was a bad night. One girl told me that last week she had three nights when she made $ 1000 and she looked average to me, she was the Turkish girl. I don't know if she is telling the truth or not, maybe.
I also got a long dress today, a purple pretty dress with a rhinestone buckle. The shop didn't have a fitting room. Really? How are you going to sell dancer outfits to girls and NOT have a fitting room? Lame. But when I tried it on later in my room I was happy with it.
So instead of working I went out in the night, had a bite to eat and strolled around in a rainy New York. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here, many decorations and lights up.
It's pretty. I am going to do some more shopping tomorrow in the daytime.

I DID NOT get hired at Flashdancers where I was hoping to work and where I have worked before......instead they sent me over to Private Eyes, their other club and I worked there last night and it was DEPRESSING. Dark, small, cold and lots of girls doing NOTHING. Sitting around looking gloomy.
So I am disappointed. I did not expect this. Ooooops! The manager at Flashdancers told me that there are too many girls there right now.......
And I am also sick, I can barely speak my throat is swollen. I was coughing up green phlegm this morning and my nose was full of snot. I must have gotten sick on one of the airplanes because that's when I first felt my throat being sore.
I might try some other clubs tonight. I can always go back to Private Eyes and I might if I don't find anything else.

And then I came across this awful store and now I really feel sad. I shouldn't read abut stuff like this, it affects me bad.

So, I am in New York. Arrived this afternoon, took public transportation to my room, because I am adventurous and too cheap to spend my own money on a taxi. I am staying in Brooklyn.
I dropped of my bags, changed clothes and headed to Manhattan to get some food and coffee. Had to photograph my silver platform shoe in various New York situations. People looked at me like I was a weirdo and this town is FULL of weirdos, believe me. But hey, I have a blog and people want and need to know what I am up to! Even if that makes me look like a weirdo for a second.
And my battery to my Sony camera totally died so I had to take the pictures with my cellphone camera which is kind of bad. I got a new battery but it wasn't charged.....oh well. Also my throat is feeling scratchy and sore, I probably picked up some sickness while flying. So I might have no voice tomorrow, great. I am here to work and that means I have to talk, unfortunately. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to talk to people because it can be exhausting and annoying, I'd rather dance instead of getting bombarded with questions. I don't mind talking to fun and intelligent people but not everybody that I encounter falls into that category.
I am laying in bed now, exhausted. But I think I am going to make an effort and repaint my fingers and toes before I go to sleep.

Sometimes it feels like I am living out of a suitcase. Once again I am at the airport......another work trip ahead of me, two weeks this time.
It's warmer to where I am going so that will be nice. So no winter jacket in my luggage. I was taking my annual Christmas pictures outside today and it was sooooo cold, I was only outside for maybe ten minutes but my fingers got so frozen they hurt when I got back inside.
I am still not disclosing where I am going. You have to check back tomorrow.
Three airplanes and a long journey. About to board soon. More of my adventures tomorrow at some point.

I was watching the Victoria's Secret fashion show before I left for the airport. Justin Bieber is getting kind of cute! But Rihanna stole the show, she was the most beautiful. My number 1 girl crush! She has surpassed Ellen. Rihanna, if you read this......(lol) call me!
As far as the show.......cute as always, though I can't possibly justify the need to create and flaunt a bra worth 2.5 million. That is stupid in so many ways. It's not attractive at all.

I drove to Anchorage yesterday to do some shopping. The trees were white, covered by frost.
It looked very pretty. While in Anchorage I made time to eat of course......I wish I had some more of that carrot cake today, it was delicious!



Today I got my donations ready for the kids and soldiers. I picked a seven year old girl to give girly things to, I hope she gets happy - lots of pink for her.



Then I got this for some random kids, need to locate a place in town that collects toys for kids this Christmas. Also gave some stuff to foster kids in Anchorage, the Alaska Club is collecting for foster kids. Since there is no Alaska Club (it's a gym) here where I live I brought the toys to Anchorage.



While at Wal Mart the other day I saw that Denali Alaskan is collecting stuff for the troops abroad. Some of the things they want is paper back books. I have some at home that I don't need anymore, so somebody else can read them. Getting some more stuff for the soldiers tomorrow before I deliver to the drop off area.



Tomorrow I need to pack and get ready for my trip. The place I am going to work at doesn't allow two piece outfits for work. Long dresses only. I do not like long dresses on me, I think I look much better in the bra and panty two piece look but those are the rules. All my long dresses are in Vegas, I had to shop for something around here and there wasn't much to choose from.
Found one dress. It will do until I get a few more dresses when I arrive at my destination.



While writing this entry a small earthquake shook my house, the windows and my floor mirror rattled. Me and Chhaya ran downstairs, all her hackles stood up, she did not like the earthquake. The lamps hanging from the ceiling were swinging slightly. Scary!
Now I think that I am going to change into my gym clothes and go and work out.

Tatiana has been really busy today. It's already December 1 and she has so many things to do. And she is working.......AND she is leaving next week to somewhere for work. So lots to take care of before that.
Well, this afternoon Tatiana changed into her gym pants and drove to the gym. Super excited to finally get some exercise and break a sweat!
When Tatiana got there, the girl behind the check in counter informed Tatiana that the gym was about to close down for the day, in three minutes......booooooooo! It was only 5 pm! For some reason Tatiana thought the gym was open until 8 pm today. Oh well. This is not Vegas where you can go to the gym 24/7.
So Tatiana went home and strapped on these ankle weights that her friend Rose-Marie got her. Rose-Marie thought that Tatiana would like to go jogging with the weights strapped around her ankles. Tatiana tried that once but it was annoying because the weights fell off several times throughout the jog and Tatiana had to stop and reattach the weights. Instead she straps two on around her ankle while doing leg lifts at home, gives a nice burn in the gluteus maximus, you know - the butt.
If Tatiana has time she will try to go to the gym once, maybe twice before her trip next week.
She really needs to go. It is almost time for Tatiana to get in the shower and get ready for work, hair washing this evening.
Last night a whole birthday party called the club and made sure Tatiana was there before they came in. Tatiana must be in high demand?
While Tatiana gave the birthday boy a dance he said that he can only wish that his future wife is going to look like Tatiana. Plus some other compliments.....bla bla bla......the usual stuff......
Tatiana told him to go to Poland and find a wife, there are plenty of gorgeous girls there, if you can handle a gorgeous girl with a hot temper that is. Most Polish girls have hot tempers.
