I had a vision of holding a cluster of colorful balloons floating above me in my Christmas pic this year. Well, it did not pan out. I went and got balloons a few weeks ago and headed to Arc lake to take some pics. First of all, I guess the balloons were "helium quality" something I did not pay attention to whatsoever. I thought they were just regular balloons, I can't recall last time I bought balloons if I ever bought them. So the balloons just flopped around in the wind and laid on the ground and I also got to the lake too late and it was getting dark, meaning the light was bad. I took some pics but were not too happy with the results.
I went back to the store and got, from my understanding regular balloons that would float by just blowing them up with air. I was supposed to go back to Arc lake today and re take the pics. I set my alarm and got up around 11, started blowing up the balloons and noticed that the new ones did not float either. I don't get it, as a kid in Sweden we would blow up balloons by blowing into them and they would float. I never used helium and don't know where to even get helium, although we do have a helium tank at work that looks like a bomb from World War II.
So no balloon pics for me. Maybe next year? I will use one of the pics I took a few weeks ago at Arc lake as my annual Christmas pic although I am not happy with them. But I don't have the energy or the time to figure out something else. Bleh. Disappointing. Oh well......
Tonight I am doing the trivia at Odie's again, I'm excited!

Today when walking out of Coffee Roasters I looked down on the ground by my car and saw eleven cents laying there. I find eleven all the time, eleven is my favorite number. Whether I find eleven cents outside on the ground, at work, in the washer machine (when I used to have to go to a public place to do laundry) or see it on the clock.....eleven is my number. Since I've mentioned to some people that eleven is my fave number, for a long time now, they too all of a sudden decided that it's their special number also. Strange. People are funny. Full of weirdness. I guess it can be their special number as well, maybe they find eleven everywhere too but I smell BS.

So I had a situation the other night when I couldn't find my car key after work. I looked through my bag, searched my lockers, rummaged through my make up bag but the key was nowhere to be found. It was 4 30 am and I was tired and just wanted to go home. Since I have locked my car key in my car a few times in the past, last time it happened I was at work actually, there was a possibility that it was in the car although I had a strong feeling that it wasn't. So we called a cab so the driver could open my car for me. I searched my car thoroughly and did not find the key. Next thing was to take a cab home, grab my spare key and go all the way back to work......which I did. It turned out to be a quite costly venture in the end.
The next day I was occupied with thinking about how my car key could had disappeared. Did I leave it on the counter by my lockers while getting ready and somebody picked it up by mistake or on purpose? That night I had thrown my bag in an empty locker with no lock on it since my lockers are full and I had a bulky jacket and a scarf in my bag that would not fit in one of my lockers. Did somebody go through my bag and take my car key? Not that I want to think that anyone I work with would take anything but stuff like that does happen. A long time ago I had some items go missing at work, a shirt and two outfits. Well, last night when I got to work I started the night by searching the dumpster outside the club, I realized that dumpster diving (although I did not actually go inside the dumpster) is not for me. Then I looked through my lockers again and found the car key. Wedged inside a box that I happened to have in my bag the other night. Wedged so tightly that it didn't rattle or was immediately visible when looking at the box straight on. And the other night at 4 30 am I was tired and stressed when looking for my key, so I just didn't see it.
Even Boss Lady had concerned about me and the whole key thing. She did not think it was like me to lose anything and was worried somebody maybe had followed me home or tried any foul play. But no, I was just having a blonde moment, that is my explanation to the whole ordeal.
I went and had a spare key made the following day, so now I have two spare keys, just in case. Lesson learned. I'm going to try to be more attentive to details in case anything goes missing again and not jump into any hasty conclusions. I'm just glad to have my car key back.

So Saturday night while I was on stage, Madison (a girl I work with) stared at me longer than usual and said that if I had some wings I could be one of the Victoria's Secret Angels. Awwwww......how sweet! Me and Madison used to not get along a few years ago, well I wouldn't go as far as saying not get along but we were just not talking, our status was frosty. Now we talk, she is cool and funny and we usually joke around a lot with each other. About all kinds of raunchy things. Another time she told me that even if she has a bad day she knows that if she comes into work and I'm there it will make her feel happy. That makes me happy to hear! This past Saturday's line up......



So I've got many angel references lately. Last week a group of people decided that I was an angel and a few months ago while I was at Whole Foods in Omaha minding my own business a lady came up to me and called me a "Scandinavian angel". And then she said a few other things about my aura (that she claimed she could read) and some other really nice compliments. I don't know why I'm looking so angelic lately? I thought people had forgot about the Barbie until last night when somebody said I am like Barbie. Cricket decided that this years Christmas present is Angry Barbie (aka me). What else happened at work? It's been rather fun lately, nice people mostly and lots of laughing. But two different guys were somewhat confused about the whole strip club thing. One was disappointed because he thought maybe I would consider seeing him after work or go on some sort of a date with him even after I clearly explained to him that NO, I don't do that and I never lie (like some dancers do) and say that I will. I'm always honest about that, I don't want to lead people on plus I don't even want to talk about dating or meeting somebody after I get off work. It's a STRIP CLUB, not a freaking dating site! So after spending $300-400 he asked if it was a complete waste of money and I said, well in a way it is. It all depends on how you look at it.
Some people spend thousands of dollars and understand it is all for fun, entertainment and nothing serious, others spend $100, feel entitled and think that it should come with a date or at least my phone number. NO. It doesn't. Not with me at least. Maybe try to go to a regular bar, buy a girl some drinks and see where it leads. Or sign up at PlentyOfFish or Tinder or however people meet each other nowadays, I don't know. He came in once after that and acted almost offended. Took out a $100 bill and waved it around in front of me, probably thinking that I was going to jump at him. I don't have time for that. Keep your money cause I don't need it and at this point don't want it actually. There is plenty of money to get from people that understand that they are in a strip club. Then some other drunk dumbass was in and wanted to DANCE like Usher style dancing out on the floor. He thought maybe he was in a regular club. Nobody wanted to dance with him. Lap dance for $ sure but not some disco dancing like he had in mind. So he started loudly complaining about that he had money to spend and that he was a customer and should get the service he wanted. Service that you want? Excuse me? That is not how it works. I have every right to refuse to talk to you if I don't want to. We are not some sex slaves, I am a rather spoiled dancer and I pretty much run my own show. I don't kiss ass, make any lame promises or give out my number to random people so they spend money, I don't need to do that.
Boss Lady finally got tired of him running his mouth and set him straight.
Anyhow.....tomorrow night is the real Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. I try to watch it every year, I like the Victoria's Secret models. And most of my bras that I wear at work are from Victoria's Secret, like this one.

I really felt cramped for time today, woke up, went to Kaladi, took care of a bunch of errands in town, the gym, home to eat. Now it's completely dark outside, not even the moon is out, it's hiding somewhere behind the clouds. I'm going to get dressed and take Chhaya out for a walk despite the darkness, I'm going to put a blinking light on her collar and grab a flashlight. After the walk I need to start getting ready for work. Phew......and be there until at least 4 am or so, unless we close early, before I can go home and go to sleep.
It's is so cozy at Kaladi right now, they have a fire going. I just want to sit there all afternoon.



I forced myself to go to the gym, it's not easy to feel enthusiastic about that.....I rarely do.
But afterwards I always feel good about going plus healthy and strong.



Next week I have a facial booked in Anchorage and while I'm there I hope to get most of my Christmas gift shopping done. I also have a gift certificate for a massage to redeem here in town, I might take that massage next week. OK, time to get dressed and venture out in the dark.



This evenings walk was a hit. Chhaya gets super excited over anything that blinks and she loves flashlights. I think we have to do the after dark walks more often.

Yesterday I brought some cupcakes to work, red velvet and vanilla. A good cupcake is one of the yummiest things. Cricket (yes, that's her name) never had red velvet before so me and Boss Lady made her try one.



On the cupcake boxes I saw that you can take a cupcake personality test, so I did. I've taken a few online tests lately. Mandy made me do the 16 personalities test (16personalities.com).
My personality? ESFJ. Then the other day I did a Jung Typology test on humanmetrics.com and a Chakra test.....so now I know everything I need about my inner self, my chakras and my strengths and weaknesses......Oh yeah my cupcake test results, I am a vanilla bean gourmet cupcake.
