Welcome to Chaos !!

Well, spring is slowly arriving cause the snow and ice is melting, the roads are slushy and new small lakes are forming in parking lots and on roads. The snow along the sides of larger roads is not white anymore, it's almost black.
This is called breakup here in Alaska and there won't be any summer until all the snow and ice melts and disappears but it sure ain't a pretty process. Makes many feel just as slushy as the weather. Me included.

I am soooo happy that I had a very yummy latte as a remedy for my breakup blues. I like Kaladi in Soldotna the best, there is a guy working there that makes the best lattes ever.

Only a couple of more months until everything is green here......

I loveeeeee hot springs, been to many but still have so many to visit.
Upon arriving in Alaska I was both surprised and disappointed that there are not that may hot springs here.
I had visions of me soaking in a beautiful Alaskan hot spring around midnight on a light summer day or during an icy cold winter day, but no.
So far I have been to Chena and Manley. Both are located quite far from Anchorage and even further from Kenai.
Chena is very popular with Asians, once when I was there, it was like me and all Asians, maybe two other non Asians. Not that I minded, I love Asians, especially at raves, very entertaining........!
Chena is absolutely beautiful and a little over an hour drive from Fairbanks. So worth the trip.
And while you are in the area, take a day and drive to Manley too. Manley hot springs, actually four concrete pools/tubs, are inside a green house full of greens and plants, very interesting and very pretty. I brought Chhaya into the green house, Chhaya loves hot springs too.
On a dreary day like this one, it is nice to look at pictures of warmer days. And I know that summer is just around the corner but......ugh.....today is kind of a depressing day. Having said that, I am about to step outside for a long walk with Chhaya.
First elimination on Dancing With The Stars tonight, who might be the first to go, maybe Martina Navratilova?

What a dreary day! Woke up to gray and cold weather. I feel totally unmotivated and dreary too. Don't want to do anything.
Sooooo, with that said, I am going to lay around and feel bored for a while. Until I get hungry.
Might work tonight to break up the monotony.

Tatiana is a night owl. It's 2 17 and Tatiana just scarfed down two sandwiches. Feeling a little bored but far from tired.
Chhaya on the other hand is sleeping and looking really cute too.
Tatiana might try to sleep soon. There is not much to watch on tv. Sad stuff, some woman found dead after getting taken from her car, while her little child was still in it. Really?! And what is this footage of Obama talking to Medvedev, thinking he is off mike, making that remark?
But there is most likely an "explanation" to that already. Not that Tatiana is that impressed with the other candidates in the race for the presidency.
It's all some big game.
