Car Stuff Again

Car stuff - again. This time my car got a new outer tie rod end, two lower ball joints and a new CV axle. I actually know these car terms and where to find these parts in my car. My mechanic lets me watch and help while he is doing the repair.
Otherwise I would have no clue. Yea I have an old car, full of dirt and dog hair because I am too overwhelmed with everything else that I am dealing with to bother cleaning my car. I really DGAF anymore. But I do not have a car payment, I can sleep in my car comfortably with dogs next to me. I don't care about anything else. I do not need a nice car. But that's me and everyone is different and likes different things.
After working on my car for a few hours we were hungry and I made pierogis. That does not mean that I made pierogis from scratch......hell no I am way too impatient for that. That means I chopped up a large red onion and fried it up until perfect, put the pierogis in the frying pan, served with sauerkraut and sourcream. A package of these pierogis should have 12 of them, there were 13 - bonus!

The next day I took my car in for an alignment. Ended up getting four new tires, that was unexpected and I reluctantly purchased the tires. Not too happy about that whole ordeal but it is what it is. I have a few more things that I need to address on my car but that will have to wait for another time.

Slug Coffee

Tried some yummy drinks the other day at the cutest little coffee shop in Astoria - Slug Coffee. Operated by a lovely owner. Located in a food cart area here in town (Astoria OR). I really like going to food carts. Simple. I like simple. I can see how my food is being made too. Don't need anything fancy - just tasty food. Or in this case, a refreshing (oat milk) London Fog.

Broken Flip Flop

Another broken flip flop. How many pairs of Havaianas have I went through that broke? I mean at some point they do brake......I save the whole one and pair it up with whatever other whole ones I have put away. I usually wear those at Burning Man. They are put in a bag and kept with my Burning Man stuff. Who cares about matching flop flops? I don't match my socks either, stopped doing that a long time ago. Nobody is looking at my socks, besides I don't care anyways.
I feel like a broken flip flop. I've had enough of too many life challenges, sadnesses, shitty people, difficult situations that I am basically a broken person. Some days I barely keep it together. I just want to be around animals and kind humans that speak with soft voices.

New Shoes Again

Every time (lately) that I get a new pair of shoes......again for work, I think "is this pair going to be the last pair"? So the latest look like this, 8 inch heels, silver glitter, Pleaser brand (as usual). I love the Pleaser box, the color, the butterflies, even comes with a butterfly cut out on the side - so cute.

I currently have three pairs. The 7 inch Stardust, a pair of black 8 inch and these new ones called Flamingo - 801 G. So I am set for a while. So just keep on dancing I guess. Until the heels brake or a bone in my body, whatever comes first I guess?
Right now I am dreaming of a two hour long foot spa session. There are also head spas popping up. I want to try that too. It looks amazing from what I have seen. But now I think it is time for me to sleep. Long day.

Poem

A few months ago I got the Street Roots magazine from a vendor. I came across a poem called The Laudry Mat Blues by Dumpsta D.

A few years ago I was researching what it would take to own a laundromat. My vision was to have a very clean laundromat, most laundromats that I have been to scare me. I think people would appreciate a clean comfortable place and sanitized machines. Offer coffee and tea. I thought of names......maybe Swedish Laundry? I guess Heidi Fleiss got herself a laundromat in Pahrump Nevada that she named Dirty Laundry. I don't think it is open anymore.
After some reading about owning a laundromat I decided that maybe......no. The idea I have about my own laudromat was nice though. Going to a laundromat in Portland is like an adventure, you just never know what you might encounter.
Good luck finding a laudromat that sanitizes the machines. The bar is set low. That is not how it should be. It looks like no to my own laundromat for me. Perhaps I can figure something else out to do.

Something Good To Read

I finally have something good to read. Sita's (Sita Kaylin) new book, Anything But A Wasted Heart and Hippie by Paulo Coelho.
Actually somebody gave me the books, cute bookmark, a special deck of cards with Stumptown ads/art and a cd. And the beautiful shawl/wrap underneath the stuff. Thank You!
I spent the day in Portland yesterday (Pet Pack, errands and friends) but when I got home I immediately started on Sita's book. And finished it this morning. I will re read it soon I decided. So this is the second Sita Kaylin book I have read, the first one is Anything But A Wasted Life. I highly recommend that one, a page turner. She is working on a third memoir. Check her out on sitakaylin.com
Tucker came by the Pet Pack crew yesterday to say HI. He is so cute. I just love all animals.

I am in bed. It is almost midnight. I hear cars go by outside. It rained today after several weeks of almost daily sunshine. I am trying to convince myself to get out of bed and go brush my teeth. Then I will read and then sleep. I feel anxious. Too much stress. Reading is good though, soothes my mind.
