Hillary

I LOVE Hillary Rodham Clinton, she is one sharp lady. That she is in the news right now for not wearing makeup while out doing her job is just ridiculous. She should be in the news every day because she is one smart and cool woman, not for choosing not to wear make up and wearing her glasses instead of her contacts. She looks great either way.
It is time that men and women are held to the same standards when it comes to appearance. If it is not expected of men to apply makeup every day, straighten their hair, curl their hair, fret over cellulite etc - then why should women get scrutinized for this?
I never wear makeup in the day time and I usually throw my hair up in a bun. I could not be bothered with applying mascara in the day time "because it really opens up your eyes" or "you never know who you might run into". First of all, my eyes are open without mascara and I do not care who sees me without makeup or who I might run into or not.
Yes, I do like to wear makeup but not all the time. If some guy only likes me when I wear makeup then oh well.......next! The door is over there buddy.
There are some things that you should consider before stepping out in public......don't have stinky armpits or BO. Brush your teeth if you are planning on talking to people. Maybe trim you nose hairs if they are trailing out of your nostrils, it's not so cute.
But to feel forced to have to wear makeup because you are a woman, whatever - it's 2012 hello!
Back to Hillary - she is definitely one of the sharpest tools in the shed. I like her. Sure, I do not agree with everything she does but find me one politician that you agree with across the board.

Tatiana is suffering from indolence

Tatiana had every intention of going to work earlier this afternoon. But when it got a little later.....indolence set in. When you do not have a set schedule, any excuse is a good enough excuse for not going into work according to Tatiana.
Like.....hmmmmm......watching documentaries on Netflix sounds so much more fun than work. Or.....I'd rather be home cleaning. Or......I am not in the mood to be half naked and talk to random people tonight. Or.....I'd rather cuddle with Chhaya. Or.....I feel fat and lazy. Or.....I am not in the mood to shave tonight.
Sometimes Tatiana is unmotivated and lazy. And it is so much more convenient to stay home where it's comfortable than work.
But that always passes, staying home for too long gets boring and Tatiana will eventually make it to work.
When Tatiana travels for work, she is diligent and works every night, even if she has period pain, pms or a headache. A Motrin or two will take care of that. But if Tatiana has pms or a headache while home, then there is no work.
Tatiana has every intention of working tomorrow night - right now at least.....!

Today

Tatiana finally got up after laying around awake in bed for over an hour, tossing around with some slight anxiety.
She just didn't want to jump out of bed and face the day. But she finally did. Now she is sitting here, on the couch......blogging....Chhaya is out on the balcony spying on her squirrel friend. A cool breeze in flowing through the room. The sun is peeking out in between the clouds.
It is time to seize the day.
Before Tatiana heads out to get at latte from Kaladi, a pastry from the Moose Is Loose, check her mailbox and buy Chhaya a 33 lbs bag of Sundancer by Solid Gold, the dry food that Chhaya gets, she needs to vacuum here. It is very dusty and grimy, vacuuming is probably the chore Tatiana dislikes the most, that's why she didn't want to get out of bed. But Hoda and Kathie Lee came on and Tatiana loves those two ladies so she got up to watch the Today Show.
Since the headache and slight nausea from yesterday are gone, Tatiana will most likely go to work tonight. She can't sit around anymore, that gets boring too. Hopefully work will be more entertaining than last time Tatiana went in there......

Bleh.....headache

I thought I was going to work tonight but I started feeling quesy this afternoon and got a light headache. It is midnight now and I still feel like that. So no work for me. Headache, even the slightest and cigarette smoke is a bad combination for me.
So I am at home. About to force myself to shower and brush my teeth soon, then sleep. I want to feel normal tomorrow.
I was going through some pics and I don't think I put this one up here yet. Sometimes I get confused and have to backtrack to make sure I don't put up the same stuff twice, you know......I have way over 1000 blogs now, it can get a little confusing.....
Photo taken by Barry Gallegos, bcgphoto. I hope to work with him again. If you search for his name in the blog you can see all the other photos I put up that he took.

This is what I think about....

......the Kentucky Derby and other events when animals run or fight for the sake of entertaining humans.
I am against it. Of course, I am one of those annoying animal lovers.
Actually I was thinking about writing an entry about the Kentucky Derby yesterday but decided against it, for the moment. I sometimes have an idea for a blog but then I put it off for another time, or forever. So today when I was checking my comments I saw that one of my nice readers left me a comment and some of it was about the Kentucky Derby. So I commented back. And this entry is basically what I replied back in my comment.
I do not know much about the Kentucky Derby. I know it is a horse race that I believe happens once a year. I read somewhere that there are about 36 000 horses bread every year but only one can win the Kentucky Derby.
It is a dangerous and brutal race. Many horses get injured and out of those, many get put down due to their injuries because the owners/investors do not think it is worth keeping the horse alive. Two examples of horses put down due to injuries that happened at the race......Barbaro and Eight Belles.
And what happens to the horses that retire from the race? Well, many of them end up in slaughter houses. What a nice place to end up after you have faithfully served and entertained humans. Would you treat your beloved dog or cat like that?
I am also totally againts dog fighting, bird fighting, Greyhound racing, fox hunting and zoo's.
Fortunately there are people out there that love animals so much that they opened up sanctuaries for them. I really admire people like these, they make me want to better myself as a person.
One place is called Black Beauty Ranch and I think about half of the animal residents there are equines.
Then there is Old Friends Equine, a place where race horses can retire and live well instead of getting slaughtered.
I could never attend the Kentucky Derby because I would be upset and sad. It reminds me of of when the Romans used to make animals fight each other or humans for the entertainment of the masses. I hope that events like the Kentucky Derby will be outlawed soon and I also think that in the future we will look back at stuff like this and shake our heads in disbelief over that we once used to think this was entertainment.
I think more and more people are realizing that animals are our friends and in my opinion equal to us. They should not have to race, fight or be held in cages for our entertainment.
One more thing, the hats women are wearing at the Kentucky Derby are so ridiculous looking. My advice to the wannabe British Royals is, if you want to feel like royalty, retire that lame hat and go enjoy some afternoon high tea at the Four Seasons or at The Ritz.

TOKIDOKI

Tokidoki Barbie

Tatiana LOVES Tokidoki. Tokidoki means sometimes in Japanese. It is a brand and the absolutely super KAWAII (cute in Japanese) characters appear on t-shirts, accesories, shoes etc. There is even Tokidoki make up.
This is Tatiana's LeSportsac Tokidoki purse, it is very KAWAII as you can see. Pink on the inside. The outside full of little characters.

There are some Tokidoki make up bags at Sephora that Tatiana wants.
