The Best Thing Since......

When you work as a dancer you get a lot of compliments......at least I do and I think that most dancers do. Some compliments are sincere and others I am sure guys repeat to every girl that sits down next to them, maybe hoping to score a number or something. I have gotten compliments on everything from my toes to my hair and I usually don't pay too much attention to them. Well, tonight an older really nice
(it turned out) gentleman with the name of Larry came in. Larry is from Reno Nevada but lives here now and we had lots to talk about since he basically knows Nevada really well, he even delivered ice to Burning Man a few times. Larry was wearing dark blue jeans, his belt buckle had a large C on it (for Cummins engines he told me), a crisp white and blue shirt and a cap with the Budweiser logo. According to Larry I am the best thing since the invention of the shirt pocket and the classiest lady he has ever met, with skin softer than a powder puff. I never heard the shirt pocket before. Classy - many times. And soft skin, even girls tell me that my skin is soft. I thought that was such a nice compliment that I had to share it. :-)
Well, I am writing from work.......it is 1 55 am and we are turning off the lights and closing down for the evening.

Annoying Kids

Went to Coffee Roasters to get my latte today. There were four small kids there ranging in the ages from 1 1/2 to four I am guessing. Their toys strewn all over the floor by the entry, they were running around, during the less than ten minutes I was there they were screaming, fighting with each other, fussing and crying loudly. The two Moms present not doing much about it. Two girls were sitting at a table, trying to talk while drinking coffee and watched with annoyance when the screams got especially loud, I could see that they were not too happy. A few weeks ago some of the bloggers in Sweden and the newspapers too had a debate whether child free cafe's should be ok or not. The discussion got heated. I am absolutely for child free cafe's and restaurants. If I am out dining at a restaurant or enjoying my latte I am not interested in hearing some kid/s screaming, whining, throwing tantrums. I don't want any toys thrown at my feet or in my food. I don't want to smell any poopy diapers.
No, I do not have kids. And this seems to be an issue divided between the people that have kids and the ones that don't. The people with kids are of course all for dragging their kids to a restaurant, even if they thrown tantrums. While the people with no kids are for a quiet and enjoyable dining experience. Some people with kids even think it should be ok to change a poopy diaper on the dining table. I think that you need to keep kids with diapers away from restaurants. Some people felt that the children were being discriminated against as a group and wondered if there should also be cafe's and restaurants not allowing Muslims or the mentally disabled. I do not see that connection. Adults (regardless of skin color and religion) or children that are a little older, like five plus know how to behave out in public. A lot of toddlers seem to have a problem with that. Whether it is the parents skills as a parent and a disciplinarian can be debated. I have experienced highly annoying toddlers on airplanes and cafe's before and yes it is disturbing and annoying. OK? And the mentally challenged do not bother me at all. I have never encountered a mentally disabled person coming up to me while I am sitting down, drinking my latte and being a nuisance. Unsupervised kids on the other hand do that a lot. Look, nobody is interested in playing with YOUR kids. You did not come to a playground, you are at a public eatery. I am trying to enjoy my meal.
If you want to go to a restaurant or a cafe I suggest that you leave your kids with somebody that can watch over them. If I was a Mom I would not drag my toddler or baby with me to a restaurant. That wouldn't be fun for me. Soon enough your little brats will be old enough to accompany you to restaurants and other places. Until then, leave them out of there. Take them to places more geared towards kids. Maybe there are some eateries that are geared towards the family dining experience. Denny's?
And yes, there are some very well behaved little angels out there but more often than not I see and hear the little kids that scream and cry for no apparent reason at all.
With parents that have no clue to how to handle them. Or maybe no energy.
And changing poopy diapers at the table? That is fucking gross. Yes, I know that I was once a baby with poopy diapers but that doesn't mean that I am interested in re living that phase of my life with being exposed to the smell and sight of some random kids diaper. There is a time and place for everything. And no, I do not dislike children in general. I am no the type that will fawn and ooooooh and aaaaah over every baby or toddler I see. Kids tend to like me when I spend time with them because I like to engage them in fun play. But yes, I dislike them when they shriek in my ear at a cafe or an airplane, or I should rather say......I dislike the parent.

Bliss

So let me show you some beauty products. Moisturizer. What girl doesn't use a moisturizer? I am currently using this one by L'Occitane. I really like their other moisturizers in the Immortelle line, I have used them for years now. I have never tried this cream before but a friend of mine really likes it so I decided to give it a try.
It contains water and oil from the angelica plant.

I wash my face with a face wash called Neutrogena naturals, it's cheap and works well.
And once in a while I use a mask. Sometimes pure honey straight from the jar.
And sometimes other stuff. Like this triple oxygen (that is what is says on the bottle, don't know how it's possible but hey) mask by Bliss that foams up. You leave it on for five minutes, wash it off and instantly look like a fresh faced 16 year old again. And I am doing anything I possible can to try to look like 16. My good looks are rapidly vanishing and I am freaking out. Like totally! NOT. ;-)

Well, now you know what you can do to try to look as amazing as me. Good luck! :-D
Ok, I have to get on the phone now and call my accountant in London to check on my off shore accounts. And after that I am going to read the latest Vanity Fair and call it a night.

Chhaya and Kaladi

Chhaya brings all the boys to the yard. This cute boy puppy came by yesterday and today to get to know Chhaya better. She is in heat and he knows it. I did not let her out. She is not going to have any babies and I am not sure if she would rip him apart. Chhaya does not get along with all dogs. So I had to call the boys owner and have him come and get him. He is super cute, very bouncy and friendly, would make a great friend for Chhaya if she would let him.

I also went to Kaladi today and this was today's special.

I am not sure about work tonight. I have some stuff to take care of at home.

Almost Midnight

I'm laying in bed, the movie Lincoln is playing in the background. I rented it earlier, it held my interest for maybe 3 minutes.......I glance at it now and then. BOOOOORING! Good thing that I did not see it in the theatre, I would had fallen asleep or left. Sure, it's obviously full of facts and history but it is still boring. Next I have Argo to watch and something called Zombie Strippers with Jenna Jameson in it. I couldn't pass it up, need to see how they portray stripping in this movie. Does Jenna still have that strip club in Arizona? And her new hair style.......kind of cool but I vote NO. It's too poufy in the front, I guess Jenna is "edgy" now. I prefer her with longer hair. Did you know that Jenna used to work at Crazy Horse Too in Vegas? She started dancing at 17 and would put water on her white g-string to make it see through before going on stage.
Crazy Horse Too was topless. One night Vinny, the boss, caught her and told her to stop it. I worked with Vinny too, he was quiet and deadly. I have many fun memories from that club. In fact, I never cleared out my locker before the place shut down for good. Locker number 18.......out of hundreds. I still think of a really pretty white crochet dress I left behind. Awwwww.......Crazy Horse, Vinny, John, the two nice and fun dj's, 3 songs for $ 100 in the VIP or $ 400 for one hour, all the girls.....I wish I had more pictures from working there......
So instead of watching Lincoln I spied at Rihanna's latest Instagram pics. She is still extremely beautiful and I still want to date her. And no, in case you wonder.....I am not a lesbian. I am open minded. As far as girls go, I have only liked ONE girl at work like THAT. And that was a girl I met in New York a long time ago now. I have worked with many pretty girls but that doesn't mean I am interested in them. Besides her, I have probably liked about three other girls like THAT and one of them I met at work at Crazy Horse Too. She was not a dancer. Yes, there is a blog about that, it's called The Girlfriend Experience, look it up if you are curious.
Well, enough of banter for now......it's almost midnight and I am getting sleepy actually. So......Goodnight!

Cozy at Home

I love spending Sundays at home. I even made some chicken soup that I shared with Chhaya, of course. No, it is not soup from a can, it is made from scratch (except the noodles) and since I rarely cook I have to brag about it when I do. I put in a chopped up jalapeno pepper and some serrano peppers to make it even tastier. Now I am watching The Apprentice. How long has Melania been in the US? She sounds like she just got off the boat from Transylvania, I don't think that my accent is that strong. So she has developed a skin care line. Tomorrow I am going to show you some more of my products. But now I am going to keep on watching the show. Later a movie.
