Welcome to Chaos !!

10 years later

Today the whole country is going to reminisce about 9/11. So Tatiana is joining in.
It was a Tuesday if Tatiana remembers correctly, she was sleeping. You know, Tatiana usually wakes up around noon. The phone rang and woke her up. It was her Mom calling from Sweden asking Tatiana what was going on. Tatiana had no idea what was going on, she stumbled into her roomate Mike's room, he was sleeping also. She told him to get up and together they sat on the edge of Mike's bed, watching everything on tv.
Tatiana remembers feeling really, really bad for the poor souls jumping to their death from the towers. How horrible!
Later that evening Tatiana met a friend down at The Strip, that is Las Vegas Boulevard. The Stratosphere was closed down due to the scare that it might get bombed too. People were speculating that Vegas could be an attractive target for the terrorist, being Sin City and all, full of tourists and also close to Nellis Air Force Base.
The Strip was calmer than usual but there were still people out and about, drinking and partying. Tatiana and her friend strolled up and down The Strip.
Work definitely slowed down after that. Tatiana was at Crazy Horse Too then. The club printed up a bunch of t shirts with different 9/11 motifs on them. Tatiana still has a few. Memorabilia!

When this happened Tatiana had been in Vegas for about a year already. She moved there from California.
About six months after 9/11 Tatiana ended up working at the Stratosphere as a hostess dealing with Asian, mainly Japanese, tourists and business men. That was an interesting gig. Tatiana is going to have to write a blog about experience.

Yeah, Tatiana is against war and crazy political and religious bickering. What nonsense! Maybe if more women were in power this could be avoided. Who wants to fight wars and go on bombing missions when you can do things like have afternoon tea at the Four Seasons? Or spend a day hiking to some hot springs or strolling through some fab mall? Or watch a fun movie? How about catching up on your beauty sleep? Or, the best option, dance like crazy to some hypnotic House music?

Sometimes people ask Tatiana if she is religious. "Spiritual" she usually answers. Being of Polish origin she did go through the Catholic Communion but when she got older religions like Buddhism and Hinduism started making more sense to her. And now she is spiritual. Actually there is an interview in Ode magazine, that is a magazine for "intelligent optimists", in the July/August 2011 issue, that stands out.
The subject of the interview is Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and he says something Tatiana totally agrees with, so she is going to quote this intelligent man here.

Q "Do you believe in the value of religion?"
A " I would say (I believe) in the value of spirituality. There is a difference between the two. Spirituality is the essence of all religion, and it combines the core values of humanity-compassion, love, honesty, caring. It is all- inclusive and universal. This is were the focus should be."

AMEN to that! Tatiana could not had said it better herself.
