Found A Home

Found A Home

Well this beautiful, friendly and sweet dog found a home. We tried locating the owner/s but nobody responded to our attempts so he is now adopted by a couple that recently lost their pitbull.
They love him already and things are going great so far. He is safe and loved. ❤
I don't know how he got lost or what happened to him, all I know is that I heard a dog barking continuously and when I went outside to investigate I found a scared dog that was lost, hungry and thirsty. Things worked out in the end because I was worried for a while, did not want him to end up in any kind of shelter. I am relieved and happy.

Tatiana: The lost and now found dog could be Chhaya's new play friend. Will he be living nearby?
Yes, I too am relieved that he did not end up in a shelter... kudos to you and your neighbor for finding him when he was lost. I suppose you have looked in the local newspaper for pets lost and found??? If I were the original owner I would be absolutely sick about not knowing where he is and if he is OK.... or perhaps the previous owner just dropped him off in your neighborhood because the dog was not wanted any longer....... if that is the case... so very sad.

No, I did not look in the local newspaper for pets lost and found.
I put up about 30 notes about a found dog. Ads on Craigslist and there were several posts made on Facebook.
He was taken to the vet and scanned for a microchip (none).
We did that. No owner located. He is now with a new family and I have no control over this any longer.

Chhaya does not get along with other dogs. She had a few doggie friends and might still have some in the future but I do not let her interact with random dogs.

He is such a sweet and happy boy. I am so relieved and glad my neighbor found him a good home. I feel so much better knowing he is going to be OK now.
    HI Annette!

Tatiana: I would think that if the previous owner really wanted their dog that they would be putting up posters and checking on Facebook, etc. I have a sad feeling that they just dumped the poor dog in your neighborhood ... fortunately it was your neighborhood and you are a caring animal person, so that is very good news for the dog.

Are you getting some of the rain coming down in the west? I know that Northern California Mountains and even Reno got snow and other parts of California and Nevada got lots of rain... I know that Vegas probably didn't get snow but rain maybe?
Lots of snow here, still about 9+ inches on the ground even after some of it melted last week... now it is colder again, some more snow and ice rain, everything turning to ICE.... my driveway is a skating rink... even with 4WD and good snow tires it is a slippery ordeal. With my 4WD I can usually get going but stopping is another matter all together!!! ... but with you spending time in Alaska, this is certainly not new news for you.

I hope that you work is going well... any more Yelp reviews worth mentioning?

It rained here yesterday and today and I hope it rains for the remainder of the week.
I ended up in the ditch a few times in Alaska due to icy conditions.

Great news! Thanks for your perseverance. I ache for all those other animals out there in factory farms, abandoned pets & hunted for almost nothing.

I am happy I could assist in helping the beautiful dog.

And for all of you reading this.
My friend Paul is AMAZING. He used to eat meat but stopped and is now an animal activist working with several local shelters and organizations abroad. He has donated his time and an impressive amount of his own $ to help animals, all that and also being an amazing husband and father to 3 children.
I admire humans like this! Thank You Paul!
