New Day

Welcome to Chaos !!

New Day

It's a new day today and life goes on, right? And it's July 1! Like we say in Sweden....."Sommaren är kort, den nästan rinner bort." Last night I stayed at home and felt sad and lonely, I ate chocolate and read a bunch of blogs. Today I woke up feeling better, the sun was shining and although I miss everybody in Sweden and feeling homesick.....I have something to look forward to when I go back home again.
Today I met up with a friend at Coffee Roasters and then we went for a walk and went down to the beach......that was nice. And it was even warm enough outside that I could tan for a while when I got back home.

"Sommaren är kort, den nästan REGNAR bort."...

Have you looked at the latest rules for taking dogs to Sweden from US?

    http://www.jordbruksverket.se/amnesomraden/djur/resorochtransporter/hundarkatterochillrar/hundarkatterochillrarinforsel.4.58f2066813fc03d6a206f56.html

I think you wrote somewhere that it took a lot of time.
I only skimmed it but it doesn't look that bad.
No quarantine, a microchip and a vet verifying the right vaccines.

You know the rules of Internet (dont blame me) , pics or it didn't happen. ;-)

I actually looked into traveling to Sweden with a dog yesterday, I guess it's not as complicated as I thought (in the past the animal had to sit quarantined for a long time I heard). BUT then there is the issue of the time in the airplane.....8-9 hours in an airplane plus several changes between planes and time on those planes too. That is very stressful for a dog, not to mention for me! I would be a nervous wreck the whole trip. If I could have Chhaya next to me the whole flight I would do it.

    Pics of tanning another time.....
    ;-)

    Jahaaaaa.....OJ!

    Sommaren är kort
    de mesta regnar bort
    men nu är den här
    så ta för dig
    solen skiner idag
    hösten kommer snart
    de går med vindens fart
    så lyssna på mig
    solen skiner
    kanske bara idag

Are you sure she's stressed or can it be that she feels that you are worried?
You wrote she had no worries about fireworks.

It might be boring, but at least it's very very pretty :-)
  5. TATIANA Post author on :

    Yes, it is pretty.
I looked for seashells for you but I didn't come across any.....this time.

She does not like flying, I can tell. She is away from me, handled by strangers. No. I don't like it. Plus it's too long of a journey.

I've heard that dogs easily picks up on their owners worry.

They probably think "Oh, my owner is worried. So this is supposed to be dangerous?! Now I'm stressed!".

Chhaya was cool flying with you in the small Cessna , right?

Maybe there's a route to Arlanda that makes a stop on Iceland to make each flight shorter , also so you can see and assure her that things are all right.
