Another Dusty Douchebag

I recently saw off some friends that I had over for a dinner at my place. I like making nice dinners once in a while, lighting many candles and having friends over. I tried a recipe for a chicken dish that I have never made before. Yes, I do eat meat once in a while, although it's rare. The chicken, chicken thighs to be precise I stuffed with crushed walnuts. Then I folded the thigh and attached the ends with a toothpick, then fried the chicken in the frying pan in butter. I made some mashed potatoes that I served topped with roasted walnuts. I also made two sauces, avocado sauce for the chicken and brown sauce for the potatoes. I made the avocado sauce from scratch and the brown sauce came out of a bag. Very yummy! Dessert - blueberries, strawberries and fresh whipped cream. And champagne, it was a belated New Years dinner.
It was so good that I think I am going to invite a few of my girlfriends from work in a few weeks for the same meal, a Valentine's Day celebration. I am already looking forward to it.

So I sat down in bed, opened up my laptop and saw this article on msn.......

"Texas lawmakers are cracking down on strip clubs. State Rep. Bill Zedler has authored a bill requiring exotic dancers to get a license -- and wear the document while performing.
Asking strippers to get licensed is nothing new. Several cities in America already have that requirement. But Zedler is getting attention for his suggestion that the dancers "conspicuously display" the license -- with their real names on it -- while working.
Zedler, a conservative Republican, thinks it might deter women from choosing the profession. "They won't want to get a license as a stripper from the state of Texas," he said, according to the Star-Telegram. "I think it would keep a lot of girls from getting involved in that lifestyle and basically wrecking their lives."
In order to get the license, strippers would need to be at least 18 years old and take a class about human trafficking awareness and reporting. The license will not be given to anyone previously convicted for human trafficking, prostitution, public lewdness or possession of child pornography. "This will force everyone to clean up their act," he told the Star-Telegram.
"Overall, it will be a benefit to everyone concerned."

Bill Zedler a conservative Republican is also a dusty old douchebag! How typical that some old man that has not much knowledge of strip clubs besides the obvious - that girls take their clothes off in them, is taking it upon himself to crack down on strip clubs!
Ummmmmm......you HAVE to be 18 to strip. Hello! Unless you use a fake ID. I highly doubt that any girls working as dancers are into child pornography. I don't know if the same goes for some of the men that go to the clubs. Human trafficking? I am absolutely against human trafficking and have even mentioned it several times in my blog. I have never witnessed or suspected any human trafficking going on in any club I have worked in. I did hear of some girls at Crazy Horse Too in Las Vegas that supposedly had pimps. I am absolutely against pimping as well. I think there is much more prostitution and human trafficking going on at truck stops across America, massage parlors, the streets and motel rooms where men go after responding to sex ads they find online. I have personally NEVER slept with anyone or done anything sexual for money.
I guess you can argue that going on stage topless and/or naked and doing lap dances is sexual although I personally do not feel like it is sex at all. To me it's entertainment. Nobody is touching any of my "private" parts ever, that INCLUDES my boobs. To me that WOULD be sexual and I am not at work to engage in that. I never put my hands down in anyone's pants or give them any kind of happy ending. If you really want to know I can count on less than my five fingers on one hand how many guys I have slept with in the last ten years. I do not like to be intimate with many people. But that's me. Other girls might not feel the same way and that is ok too as long as they do what they want.
Bill Zedler is talking about forcing everyone to clean up their act. Really? My act is clean.
I am NOT ashamed that I am a dancer (my occupation doesn't define me), I am supporting myself, nobody is taking care of me. I am not on welfare. In fact, I have economically helped out several people throughout the years. I'm a rather generous person. I do not feel like I am wrecking my life. I have worked with girls that had a very promising professional career staked out for themselves outside of the strip club and I have also worked with girls that didn't.
But that's life. Not everybody is working on some kind of a career. Just like the reference Bill Zelder make about "the lifestyle". What lifestyle? Drinking and drugs perhaps? If you are into booze and drugs you are most likely going to do that regardless of the strip club. There are plenty of addicts out there that have nothing to do with strip clubs.
I don't drink at work, neither do I use drugs at work. And that reflects on my life outside of the club as well. I rarely drink or do drugs. But if I am going to do that I am for sure going to enjoy my drugs or alcohol to the fullest in some fun place and that would not be at work.
I do not feel like I'm doing anything wrong by dancing. Bill Zelder should look into his own act and do some cleaning up himself, what a righteous pontificating prick! As far as displaying a license with your real name, first and last...... Why? What's the point of that? To scare girls off from dancing? To display our personal identity so perhaps some sexual predator we might encounter at work can find us, stalk us and maybe hurt us? So then the guys that go to clubs and the women that come in as guests too for that matter should display a badge with their first and last name I assume? That would only be fair. Not that I meet many sexual predators at work
(I hope), I meet mostly nice people believe it or not. Some are assholes and annoying but that's good because that gives me material for my blog! 🙂
In Las Vegas you do need to get a sheriffs card before you can get hired in any of the clubs in the city. The sheriffs card is valid for ten years. They basically check that you are eligible for work in the US, that you are of age and not convicted of a felony. Fine. You need to have something similar to work in the casinos in Vegas too. I am aware of a few other clubs around the country that require something like a sheriffs card too. But to talk about prostitution, child pornography and forcing people to clean up their act, that is taking it too far. Bill Zelder is basically saying that all dancers (strippers) are prostitutes, might be engaging in child pornography and are overall no good and lewd women. So not true! And very disrespectful of him. As a feminist I am protesting this.
Sure, some dancers sleep with guys they meet in the club. Some for money and some because they want to. It is actually possible to meet somebody you really like inside a strip club. I know of girls that have met the love of their life in the club. Marriage and happiness ever after - or something like that....... And yes some clubs are "dirty" and the owners and managers should make sure that the dancers follow the rules and get rid of the ones that don't. Then girls like me would thrive. I would love to meet this Bill Zelder for a debate. And good luck on passing that bill, Bill. Don't you have anything more important to deal with in Texas?

Shut Up

I think it's rather comical when guys come into the club, sit back and throw around negative comments about the girls that are working. I don't care if somebody has anything negative to say about me......I am perfect ;-) as you all can see from staring at and inspecting all my pictures on my blog.......and whatever you have to say about how I look (if it's negative) runs off me like water. Sure, I agree some girls should NOT take their clothes off in strip clubs, I have worked with girls that fall into the "scary" category. Oh yes. But after working with them for a while I can usually see something cute in even the scary looking ones. And then we have the trashy and vulgar ones, probably worse than being scary looking I sometimes think. I do wish that clubs would be more picky with who they hire to dance......But then of course I can go to the mall, a bar, a regular club, the grocery store etc and see the same thing. People looking scary or acting trashy. But what I wanted to bring up here is when I hear dudes sit around and talk trash about the girls. When they are nothing special themselves! I hit a guy across the face with my sitting towel not too long ago because he talked badly about a girl I work with. Granted, she has seen better days but she doesn't need to hear this while she is on the stage, keep your opinions to yourself in certain situations. Unless you look like this you need to shut up! And that's all for now.

More Stories From Work

Sometimes girls come into work, I am talking about "regular" girls now - not dancers. And after a while some of them, not all, want to go on stage too, strut their stuff and shake what their Mama gave them. And we let them, it's always a fun time.
Well, last Saturday a group of five, two girls and three guys came in, all in their early 20's. One of the girls lost some kind of a bet and that apparently meant that she had to go on stage.
She danced for two songs and did really well. She wasn't shy at all. And most importantly, she had fun! Unfortunately her totally lame and possessive boyfriend didn't have as much fun.
He was pissed! He left the stage area and went over to a corner and moped the entire time she was dancing. When she was done and dressed (she stripped down to her panties) he came back and acted like a total jerk. WTF? Like, what did she do wrong exactly? SHE had fun, she looked cute, all of us were clapping and tipping, her other friends had a blast and were supportive.
So what that she danced around a pole for two songs in her panties? I can think of a million other things that are way worse to do. She didn't hurt anyone, she didn't cheat on him bla bla bla.....
HE is an insecure, jealous prick. I hope she dumps him. No guy owns a woman, she can do whatever she wants. Even if that entails going up on stage in a strip club for ten minutes of totally INNOCENT fun dancing. Guys can be so lame!
I can't stand possessive guys, it's ok to be a little jealous, I mean we are all human and can get insecure and jealous at times but COME ON! And showing some boobs in a strip club? SHOCKING! I could understand him getting pissed if she whipped them out at a funeral or at Grandma's dinner but it's a strip club for crying out loud. People are so sensitive to nudity, I grew up in Sweden so boobs don't shock me. How you are acting as a person is more shocking to me, if you do something weird/evil instead of partake in some innocent nudity. Also there is a time and place for everything. Plus he had no problem staring at me and the other girls while we were on stage, she (the girlfriend) didn't act insecure or jealous, in fact she was really cool and was out to have a good time. But when she decided to go on stage his demeanor totally changed. BARF. Dump him girl!

Monday

I drove to Anchorage yesterday, I got up when it was dark and came home when it was dark. There are so many places to eat in Anchorage but the last couple of times when I have been there I have been going to the Yak & Yeti. The food there is sooooo yummy, simple but good.

I found another pair of Hard Tail leggings (workout pants) in the color "Berry", like a dark pink.
I was hoping to find some pinkish pants to workout in. Score! But I have to run now, need to do some errands real quick. More blogging later. ;-)

Writing From Work

While I was in the bath this evening shaving and messing with an ingrown hair that finally decided to plop out after months of hibernating in my inner thigh......and it was looooooong too (I wish I had a pic of it). Anyways the tv was on in the background while I was in the bath and some show called The Mob Doctors was on and in it a woman was in the hospital for some medical issue. She was a former dancer (stripper) and talked about what surgeries she had......a nose job, something with the stomach and of course implants. You know the normal stuff. Well, she didn't know whether she had saline or silicone implants. LOL. Talk about really pushing the stereotypical, dumb dancer in people's faces on a Saturday evening across America. First of all, every dancer out there with implants knows whether she has saline or silicone implants, what cc's the implants are and whether it's under or over the muscle. DUH! I would hope the rest of the "common" women out there that have implants know this too cause TRUST ME, dancers are far from the only ones with breast implants. Or other plastic surgeries too for that matter. I am all au naturel myself, no surgeries or implants. Maybe one day I'll get a unicorn horn implanted in my forehead or something like that. Well, that was not the first time that I heard dancers get portrayed as total idiots on tv, I am getting tired of it. Thinking about it, I feel HURT and INSULTED maybe even somewhat TRAUMATIZED......! I might sue or organize a million dancer march in Washington DC. Compared to a ton of people I meet on a regular basis I think that I am far from dumb. So I feel totally misrepresented! Anyways......
So today I did exactly what I said I would do yesterday, I did errands, got a latte from Kaladi and went to the gym. I am at work right now, writing this blog from there. Well, earlier at the gym while walking on the treadmill I was looking around, because what else is there to do while walking on the treadmill? I was observing a skinny (almost bony) cougar in some shorts that BARELY covered her ass.......When it comes to that "rule" that less is more, well that does not apply to what you wear at the gym. When she was bending over and she did that frequently to stretch while turning her flat backside to the room, (I assume on purpose) you could see her ass cheeks, barely there ass cheeks because she was close to anorexic looking but probably thought she looked hot Though in reality she kind of looked pathetic and desperate. And too skinny in my book but it's her body not mine. Personally, I do not want to see anybody's ass cheeks, VAGINE lips or balls sticking out of some too short shorts at the gym. Save that for the beach or something. It's kind of gross to sit down on a damp with sweat weight machine after somebody has been sitting on it before you with their barely covered private parts. I think it's totally ok to dress cute at the gym but when you wear a miniscule outfit because you are trying to show off either your ass or your chest it looks comical and comes across like you are trying too hard.
And yes, I am referring to women AND men now. I don't want to see some hairy man chest and nipples showing through a revealing tank top either, or worse - some saggy balls......
Yeah, that's my opinion and I KNOW ya'll just LOOOOOVEEE my opinions! 🙂

On The Couch

Tonight was a slow night but that's ok. Most people were probably out on New Years and spent all their money anyways, tomorrow night will be better. So I organized my lockers, all three of them. Took home some bracelets and necklaces that I don't wear anymore, gave away some earrings and an outfit. And that is me on the couch, that couch is the best. Since I don't smoke, sitting at the bar surrounded by smokers can be too much at times, There is no smoking allowed on the couch and I can actually breathe somewhat clean air, I can read, I can take a nap, I can stretch out my legs, I can curl up if I am cold, I can relax, I can get away from annoying people although many follow me to the couch, stalkers!
I am in bed now, it's a little after 3 am. Just had some tea, I am going to read some blogs for a while before I go to sleep. Tomorrow - errands, latte from Kaladi, gym and work.
