Writing From Work

While I was in the bath this evening shaving and messing with an ingrown hair that finally decided to plop out after months of hibernating in my inner thigh......and it was looooooong too (I wish I had a pic of it). Anyways the tv was on in the background while I was in the bath and some show called The Mob Doctors was on and in it a woman was in the hospital for some medical issue. She was a former dancer (stripper) and talked about what surgeries she had......a nose job, something with the stomach and of course implants. You know the normal stuff. Well, she didn't know whether she had saline or silicone implants. LOL. Talk about really pushing the stereotypical, dumb dancer in people's faces on a Saturday evening across America. First of all, every dancer out there with implants knows whether she has saline or silicone implants, what cc's the implants are and whether it's under or over the muscle. DUH! I would hope the rest of the "common" women out there that have implants know this too cause TRUST ME, dancers are far from the only ones with breast implants. Or other plastic surgeries too for that matter. I am all au naturel myself, no surgeries or implants. Maybe one day I'll get a unicorn horn implanted in my forehead or something like that. Well, that was not the first time that I heard dancers get portrayed as total idiots on tv, I am getting tired of it. Thinking about it, I feel HURT and INSULTED maybe even somewhat TRAUMATIZED......! I might sue or organize a million dancer march in Washington DC. Compared to a ton of people I meet on a regular basis I think that I am far from dumb. So I feel totally misrepresented! Anyways......
So today I did exactly what I said I would do yesterday, I did errands, got a latte from Kaladi and went to the gym. I am at work right now, writing this blog from there. Well, earlier at the gym while walking on the treadmill I was looking around, because what else is there to do while walking on the treadmill? I was observing a skinny (almost bony) cougar in some shorts that BARELY covered her ass.......When it comes to that "rule" that less is more, well that does not apply to what you wear at the gym. When she was bending over and she did that frequently to stretch while turning her flat backside to the room, (I assume on purpose) you could see her ass cheeks, barely there ass cheeks because she was close to anorexic looking but probably thought she looked hot Though in reality she kind of looked pathetic and desperate. And too skinny in my book but it's her body not mine. Personally, I do not want to see anybody's ass cheeks, VAGINE lips or balls sticking out of some too short shorts at the gym. Save that for the beach or something. It's kind of gross to sit down on a damp with sweat weight machine after somebody has been sitting on it before you with their barely covered private parts. I think it's totally ok to dress cute at the gym but when you wear a miniscule outfit because you are trying to show off either your ass or your chest it looks comical and comes across like you are trying too hard.
And yes, I am referring to women AND men now. I don't want to see some hairy man chest and nipples showing through a revealing tank top either, or worse - some saggy balls......
Yeah, that's my opinion and I KNOW ya'll just LOOOOOVEEE my opinions! 🙂

  1. Bells on :

Great post Tatiana! Interesting that every stereotype in Hollywood has been busted and liberalized in recent years EXCEPT for dancers, oh hell add beautiful young actress types to that and they're fair game to the male misogynist dominated industry running Hollywood. These misogynists (or insecure men) would have nothing to feel superior about if they didn't slam and try to control the beautiful women they couldn't have in highschool and college.

That's right! It is getting to be comical! EVERY time they have an actress portray a dancer on some show, it's made WRONG. It makes me cringe when I watch it.
Really? Come on now Hollywood! LAME!
