Forward

I just watched Obama's acceptance speech. I think it was a good one with a great message, no matter where you stand in the political spectrum it is important to work together for the greater good. My opinions will differ from yours, we all come from different backgrounds but that doesn't mean that we can't get along. And respect each other.
Here are some snippets from the speech that I especially liked......

".....the belief that while each of us will pursue our own individual dreams, we are an American family and we rise or fall together as one nation and as one people."

"That’s where we need to go -- forward.
Now, we will disagree, sometimes fiercely, about how to get there. As it has for more than two centuries, progress will come in fits and starts. It’s not always a straight line. It’s not always a smooth path."

"But that doesn’t mean your work is done. The role of citizens in our Democracy does not end with your vote. America’s never been about what can be done for us. It’s about what can be done by us together through the hard and frustrating, but necessary work of self-government. That’s the principle we were founded on."

"I have always believed that hope is that stubborn thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us so long as we have the courage to keep reaching, to keep working, to keep fighting."

"......it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from or what you look like or where you love. It doesn’t matter whether you’re black or white or Hispanic or Asian or Native American or young or old or rich or poor, able, disabled, gay or straight......"

I like the part about that a citizens role doesn't end with a vote. I believe that every adult here on this planet has a personal responsibility to try to be a good person and do their part in the collective good for humanity, no matter where you live. You can always do SOMETHING good. Every effort, big or small counts.
I like that Obama seems to love his wife very much, he has a beautiful family. And I also like that he is open-minded to gay issues. A president should be open-minded and forward thinking.
That whole mumbo jumbo about abortion and rape that came out of some stuffy old confused mans mouth is just ridiculous.
I belive in womens rights and pro choice in case you wonder.
I also believe in population control, animal rights, peace, the urgent need to address environmental issues, that people need to stop littering, the legalization of drugs, the importance of education, personal freedom, free health care paid for by taxes, much less pro-corporate, the importance of human rights, not too much government interference and an honest government that works for the people and wants the good for people in general with no hypocricy, lies and much less emphasis of the love of money.

And no, I didn't vote. I can't, I am not a citizen. But I did make sure to take somebody to vote, so I think I contributed somewhat.
Who would I had voted for? Hmmmmmmm, I would had probably voted Independent.
That's all from me for now......GOOD NIGHT!

Cameras Ready Prepare To Flash

Finally my pics from Halloween......because I know all of you are just DYING to know what I did for Halloween. Right?! I usually go to LA but that didn't happen this year since Monster Massive got cancelled.......again. 😥
So I went out in Vegas instead. As a bad kitty. I did not have anything prepared outfit wise besides a pair of cat ears that I threw into my suitcase last minute when I was packing for my trip weeks ago. So I painted on some black make up, a nose and whiskers, put on the ears and became a kitty cat, a bad one of course. My pink claws were out.
MJAAAAAAAUUUUUU !!!!!

I went to Surrender at Encore with Mikey and my new Swedish friend Ulrika that was a sexy cop.

I usually don't care for clubs in Vegas nowadays, too crowded, no place to sit, I don't like the music etc etc. But I had a great time! The dj was Steve Angello. He is part of The Swedish House Mafia, they should not use the word House to describe themselves at all, their style is too trancey but towards the end he managed to bust out some good songs and played some good ones throughout his set too. But I much rather prefer some darker, real house but I still had fun.
The bad kitty was very popular that evening. Like always. ;-)
When I go out I want to DANCE, have fun, take pictures, look at all the cute girls and boys and let loose. I usually want to stay until the end and if there is a fun after hours I do not mind going there to check it out either. I can sleep later. This is the girl who danced until the music ended at noon at a club called SpiderGalaxy in Zurich. And I came out of there full of energy and super happy. You might think, drugs. No honey, I don't need drugs.
I did have ONE drink on Halloween, Mikey made me like Mandarin Vodka and Seven Up - very yummy.

As all kitties, I am vain and love to primp.

I don't mind giving out compliments and make people blush by being very forward and fun but that's where the fun ends........I am unavailable and unattainable. Even my crush Chester Bennington would have to put in some effort to get some Tatiana.

Unfortunately another person that was with us ended up ruining the whole evening for me and Ulrika with his violent, angry and crazy behavior. I really regret leaving early to take his dumb ass home, I should had stayed and continued to dance and enjoy my Halloween.
But whatever, lesson learned and it won't happen again since that was the last time I am going out with him. Good! I can't surround myself with people like that anymore. And I am not talking about Mikey.

The next day I was walking around with a smile on my face and felt great. It is amazing what some dancing can do! Like I have said for a long time - dancing is therapy. At least my kind of therapy.

Frustrating!

Something is wrong with my internet connection. Well, first of all I noticed that my Mac works much faster outside Alaska than here. But when I am at home (in Kenai that is) it is so slow that some sites do not load at all, especially my blog. For some reason I can go in on other blogs but my own is not working more than half of the time. I have been trying to upload pics the whole evening and ONE pic got uploaded. Extremely frustrating.......
I can't sit around waiting for pics to upload on my blog.......So back to some coffee shop tomorrow for faster internet and another try at uploading pics, I have my Halloween pics to put up dammit!

In Bed

I am in bed watching Dateline, I like that show. It's scary and strange what people are capable of doing all in the name of love, hate and revenge. Chhaya is sleeping by my feet, she is farting because I fried up some eggs for her earlier.
Soooooo.......back in Kenai - yeaaaahaw! It's colder than Vegas that's for sure but not very cold, that will come.....soon. I should probably go running before it's snows. My life in Kenai is so slooooow compared to Vegas. Vegas is non stop if I want it to be. Here is Kenai, there is no non stop even if I wanted to.
I think I might return to work Wednesday or Thursday. Friday for sure.
I have pictures from my Halloween but the internet connection here has been painfully slow so I am going to have to go to a coffee shop to upload and resize all the pics but they are coming soon!

Bye Vegas.......

Spent my last day in Vegas with my friends. First I met up with Julia for some sweaty time at the gym, then we went and had coffee and a well needed talk to sort some much overdue issues out........good! After that I had to run some errands. Some last minute things to get, like more lashes, shampoo and bubble wrap.

Then I got home, showered, glued on some lashes and met up with Julia again, this time for a photo shoot. A friend of hers needed a girl to model for a shoot and the girl turned out to be me. It was fun and hopefully I get some cute images out of it. Photo shoots are usually fun, except when the photographer turns out to be a prick and doesn't keep his end of the bargain. Happened to me twice so far - disappointing and a waste of my time and effort. Just another lesson in that some people are nasty assholes, unfortunately.
In the evening I went out with my Mikey Skrink for some fun. We were going to check out a new club called The Act that just opened up at The Palazzo, I heard some good things about it and thought it would be exactly my kind of place. But The Act was not open......so we went to eat and to a gay club and watched buff cuties run around in man panties and some freaks that I suspect were still up and partying since the night before......

I had to leave for the airport at 4 30 am.......here is the last pic of Vegas - yes, you can gamble at the airport.

And this is what I love to see when I arrive in Vegas, the stone animal decorations at the airport. This is a rabbit, then there is also a lizard and and a snake. When I see them I get a happy homey feeling in my body.

Well, I had to leave Vegas for this time around, I will miss my friends and my fun Vegas life. 😥
I am back in AK now.
