Monday Report

Monday again.....it's four months left to Christmas! The summer flew by but then again summers always go by fast. It's not over yet though.......plenty of more sunny days to come!
So here is my Monday report. While sipping on my latte this morning I took a pic of this article that made the cover of Alaska Dispatch News today Monday August 24.

I get it, animals are very cute. I would love to pet bears and moose too but most likely they do not want to get cuddled since as we all know, they are not domesticated. And when the bear attacks it is usually the bear that will get the short end of the stick since it will be considered dangerous, then shot and killed. Here is a snippet from the article that I find disturbing, "Everybody stops in the no-stopping zone. There’s no education at all of the fishermen. They’re leaving their beer bottles and Red Bull cans around. If the cubs get a taste of Red Bull, and investigate at the campground and get a taste of it again, that’s the end of that bear. People are dropping their tins all over,” Esch said. One bear, known as BMJ, became tangled in fishing line at one point."
WHY are people so STUPID and DISRESPECTFUL? It's starts with YOU. As in you are responsible for your own behavior. And I am responsible for mine.
After my breakfast (a latte and a scone) me and Chhaya went to the beach for a walk.

There were some fireweed there, some still has a few pink petals left on top and look like this.

But most of the flowers look like this.

I found a small yellow leaf laying on the sand all alone. I wonder where it came from?

And Chhaya found a fish carcass. Poor little fishy!

Then I also found a bunch of trash, picked it up and recycled it. I guess whoever that left that on the beach must had been too busy with other stuff than picking up after themselves.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that trashing nature is a very bad personality trait.
I found this comment under the article about the bears in Haines.
"Littering.... When I moved to Alaska in 1975 (Valdez), I dropped a smoke out the window while riding in a friends car. She made me get out and told me to find MY cigarette butt and to pick up any litter while I was at it. When I got back in the car, she told me that Alaskan's DO NOT litter. If she ever caught me doing it again, she'd beat the crap outta me. I have tried to instill this into my children's behavior over the years, and it worked. Sounds like my friend could teach these idiots a thing or two!"

Exactly. Do not litter and teach your offspring to show some respect for nature as well.

Don't Get It

Last night I was going through my closet that is stored away in bins, deciding on what to keep and what to get rid of. Perfect Sunday evening occupation. I don't have cable and sometimes I don't have a single channel on the TV and other times I have two or three. I think five is the most I ever have. If I can watch The Big Bang Theory a few times a week I'm happy. I still wish Sheldon was my real life friend. So anyhow, while folding clothes the Teen Choice awards were on. So I'm watching......I'm not really sure how that awards show works but from what I understand TEENS, meaning 13 -19 vote for artists in different categories. Britney won and accepted a style icon award. There were some other artists and actors/actresses that won different awards, like Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande etc.
I can totally understand that teenage girls like Swift and Grande. What I did find really weird though is that some of the presenters were ancient, considering it is an awards show geared towards kids. Yes, to me a teen is a kid. When I was 15 I thought that 30 plus was really old. Ellen? I love Ellen but come on now......! Ellen was getting the "it's OK to be gay" message across. Great and all but are there not any openly gay teenage performers out there?
John Stamos? Really? Johns Stamos, what and why? He did so not belong there, go back to AA or something. And to top it off, not only weird but also very disturbing. Robin Thicke performed with some Flo Rida dude. Robin Thicke is the greasiest slime ball ever. When I look at him I think pedophile, his current "girlfriend", did she turn 21 yet? Another borderline pedo was on stage, Wilder Walderrama. Old dude with a taste for young girls. BARF! What is up with using old perverts as presenters? So back to the national perv, Robin Thicke. The song him and that rapper "performed" was basically about ass and sex. I looked up the lyrics and just like any other Robin Thicke song that gets any play, it is dumb as fuck. Yeah, nothing like having an old dude romance teen girls about his anaconda wanting to get into a girl's ass and "hit it til I jackpot", while a herd of back up dancers gyrate around him and the other dude dressed in shorts that barely covers their asses. SO GROSS!
Throughout the show the presenters were throwing out "inspirational messages" to the kids in the audience and at home watching like, love yourselves, it's great to be different, be strong, be fearless, follow your dreams and bla bla bla. So is it then appropriate to end the show with the great message as loving yourself so much that you need to squeeze into some booty shorts and twerk around a much older dude that wants to stick in in you? I don't get it.
All this talk about loving yourself and be yourself but in reality social media tells teenage girls and tweens that to be really "liked", admired and fit in you need to get fake tits, a fake ass, a nose job, must have skinny thighs and some ratty extensions. Desperately chasing and racking up "likes" from people you will never ever meet in real life. Pathetic and sad.
One short segment of the show covered unknown teens that actually do something positive for the world, society and themselves as fight sex trafficking and work on their academic goals. A song called Fight Song was performed by a girl I never heard of before, Rachel Platten. And that was THE BEST moment of the evening I think.
Oh yes, I am 100% aware of that what I do for a living does not contribute to anything world changing. It's merely how I cover my bills, expenses for me and Chhaya and add to my savings. But besides working as a dancer, I do not play dumb at work or in "real" life or cater to any dudes body fantasies by altering my appearance. I do not give a shit if some dude out there thinks that my ass is not big enough or that my boobs need to be a fake D. I would never ever breathe in that kind of a guys direction anyways. THAT if anything is what they need to teach young girls. Do not alter yourself for attention you mistake for love and be independent. Rely on yourself.
Me, yesterday afternoon at Kaladi, pondering what to write about next......

Makes No Sense

So this meme is making rounds on the world wide web. I got into a discussion about it yesterday.
FIRST and FOREMOST, it's a MEME! People put up memes on Facebook like it's the absolute truth, it's a meme so it must be true right? Hello......NEWSFLASH! NO. All it is is a meme, nothing else. Although I think discussion is good. I like hearing people's opinions, sometimes I learn something and other times I'm like WTF?!
So whoever made this meme thinks that Heath Ledger as the Joker is a suitable background for the topic, I don't see the connection myself (did not watch the movie, so maybe I'm missing the point) but whatever.
Also whoever made this meme is under the impression that nobody cares that Planned Parenthood supposedly sells aborted fetuses and/or parts of aborted fetuses. I'm pretty sure people do care, I have read a few articles on the subject. Heard it discussed on a radio show and saw at least one petition against Planned Parenthood in this matter. So people care.
BUT Cecil the lion and Planned Parenthood are two completely different issues. I get upset on a daily basis when I read the news and see what people do to each other, animals and the planet we all share. So this meme to me makes no sense.
Why is Cecil the lion important? Well, human beings will cause the extinction of animals (already have) and the demise of this planet (working on it) if we continue the way we do. Most of us are driven by ego, so am I. I am no exception. I want and I need, I consume and I discard. But up until the last day human beings will continue to reproduce like there is no tomorrow. I believe the planet is overpopulated but I guess it doesn't matter, right?
The lion was living in a protected park, he was lured out by bait, shot and injured. Suffered for almost two days and nights before put out of his misery. Beheaded and his body just left there.....to rot. Somebody paid a lot of money for this "pleasure". Somebody that takes great pleasure in hunting for trophy animals. If you look into some other stuff this guy has been accused of you will see that he doesn't seem to be a nice person at all. Of course people are upset and I think rightfully so.
Now to Planned Parenthood. Are they selling fetuses and fetus parts? I don't know, I have not looked into this issue in depth but from what I understand at least one clinic did. Where do these aborted babies go? Is it legal or not? Conflicting reports are coming out daily. I don't think the parts are getting sold as food to some people interested in exotic dishes or as something somebody will put on display in a jar in their living room. If anything it must be for medical research purposes? Organ or tissue donations? Correct me if I am wrong, please do. Medical research that might somehow benefit even the strongest anti Planned Parenthood advocates or their own families in the future. What else do they do with the fetuses you think? Pick them apart and sell them for fun?
I am pro choice. There are laws and regulations regarding abortion. If men could have babies I am certain that abortions would not be as much as a heated issue. Now pay attention to the word PLANNED. Exactly how you should view having children, they should be PLANNED.
Too many people just have sex, oooops get pregnant and now you have a baby! No plan on how to care for this baby. Perhaps the welfare office can help? Then maybe have more babies and just become a welfare queen. Life is good, yeay!
I am a strong advocate for population control. If that was the law people would perhaps take having kids more seriously. Plus, why should taxpayers pay for people's "mistakes"? I also think that people on welfare, men and women should not be allowed to reproduce.
Maybe difficult to regulate cause people have sex but yeah......if you are collecting welfare you should not be allowed to have kids. It only makes sense. If other people (tax payers) support you because you can't do it yourself for whatever reason, then WHY is having kids at that time in your life a good idea? It's not.
If abortions were illegal women would still have them. They do in countries were abortions are illegal. It's often dangerous and many women get seriously injured, even die from the complications. Also, WHY should a woman that got raped, even a little girl (child) that got raped and ended up pregnant because of the rape be forced to go through with the pregnancy? Who are you to decide what a woman should do with her body? Of course there should be regulations, which there are, regarding abortion. I do not think abortion should be used as a form of birth control. If somebody goes in for several abortions then perhaps a sterilization should be suggested, discussed and even enforced. Men that are sperm donors to several kids that they do not take care of should get sterilized. Again, PLANNED is the word here. Also if abortions were illegal just think about how many unwanted and uncared for children that you and me would end up having to pay for. There are already so many, too many, unwanted, abused, molested and neglected children here in the US. Some of them get so badly abused that they die form their injuries. Who speaks for them? Perhaps if they had been wanted and planned they would be treated differently?
In Ceausescu's Romania abortions were illegal (with some exceptions). Thousands of children ended up in orphanages (still do) because they were unwanted or could not be cared for. They ended up in orphanages were they stopped growing, they stunted in their development because they did not receive human touch. Children crave human touch and interaction, it's a basic need just like food. Those children suffered, physical and sexual abuse were not uncommon. How is that justified? Get pregnant (perhaps because you either do not believe in birth control, or birth control is illegal or viewed as sinful or abortions are illegal) and then abandon your baby to an orphanage were it will get minimal attention, maybe get abused. What happens to those children when they grow up? Unwanted kids get trafficked, used for sex. And people are horrified that some women have abortions. Think about the bigger picture instead of focusing on abortion and that it might be wrong because the Bible says so. If you are not willing to save all the unwanted children yourself, clothe them, feed them, raise them and provide for them then I suggest you stop pontificating about the Bible and sin.
To me it's a bigger sin to give birth and abandon your baby (unless you arrange for a proper adoption) or give birth and then abuse and/or neglect your child. To me it's also a bigger sin to be a sperm donor and not care for your children. It's also a bigger sin to stand outside Planned Parenthood and shoot (yes, SHOOT with a gun) at the people that work there.
By 1993 marital rape became a crime in all 50 states. Back in the no so distant past a man could demand sex from his wife, rape her and that was fine. The Duggars parents teaches their daughters to never say no to their husband when the guy wants sex. They are a fine church going family that strongly believes in God, as we all know by now. Is that something that you want to teach your daughter? That she has no free will over her OWN body?
Let's say I was married and wanted to penetrate my husband with a zucchini on a weekly basis and he said no but I tackled him and raped his anus. Would that be OK because we are legally wed? Of course not. You are not somebody's property when you get married.
Nobody has the right to rape you and nobody should have the right to decide whether a woman is allowed to have an abortion or not. It's her body and her choice.
I am glad that people all over the world have paid so much attention to what happened to Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe. Soon there will be no more lions if people do not change their attitudes regarding wildlife and trophy hunting and just killing animals for fun. Yeaaaay........it's so much fun to go and shoot defenseless animals! BARF, shoot yourself will ya?
That does not mean that those same people that care about what happened to Cecil do not care about children and abortions. A meme saying so does not make it the truth.

I am pro choice and against trophy hunting.

Cheating

Well, since some smart person or people, hacked Ashley Madison and some other douchebag site called Established Men I thought I should add my two cents to the mix. Ashely Madison is like a meetup site for married people looking to cheat, over 37 million members in 46 countries, give and take a certain number of fake profiles. Established Men is a site where men that consider themselves wealthy (money wise) search for money hungry sugar babies to feed. Whoever hacked the sites is threatening to expose all the profiles. I think that is GREAT ! Expose all of them!
In general I am absolutely against cheating. I know that every couple has their own story and stuff happens, life happens and sometimes people cheat. Every single person has their own reason. I don't want to judge anyone but yes, in general I'm against cheating.
I have seen and heard many different stories. The woman married to a man that doesn't want to have sex, they do it perhaps twice a year and she cheated. The married woman that enjoys herself with others around here in this small town when her husband leaves and goes to work on the Slope (Prudhoe Bay). The married men that I encounter at work that are willing to do whatever and give up everything for some "fun". Gross, get away from me!
The woman that I met and talked to last week with the husband she left after she found out about him paying rent for a girl that used to work at the club here, they have two children together I should add.
Oh I too have cheated. As a teenager I cheated on a boyfriend. It was actually quite dramatic and I really hurt him (we both cried a lot) and you know what, to this day I feel guilt over it and it's my biggest relationship blunder ever and that was a long time ago. We were both teenagers, he was a year and a few months younger than me and I though he was immature but later I realized he was "perfect" but then it was too late because he found out about the cheating. The guy I cheated on him with went and told my boyfriend about us after I decided that I wanted to end the little affair and continue on with my boyfriend. The guy thought we were going to be together but I didn't want to, so he decided to get even I guess. That's how my boyfriend found out. Lots of drama. I am still to this day friends with my ex boyfriend.
He is married with two kids and actually very successful and I am happy for him. I am friends with all my significant ex boyfriends, I think that's a good thing.
But back to cheating. If you put that much effort into cheating on your spouse or significant other (if not married) that you create profiles online so you can meet up with people for some meaningless and possibly risky sex, then I think you are putting too much time and energy into it. It seems very deliberate and manipulative and just simply wrong. People make mistakes all the time, like I said I have heard and seen some stuff therefore I do not want to judge but creating a profile with the intention to cheat.....that is too much. And women that only sleep with married men, also a huge NO NO. So not cool. It's one thing if the guy lies to you about being married but if you purposefully seek out married guys then you are a cunning cunt. But then again, I know of a circumstance where the married man left his wife and got married to the other woman and everybody seemed happier afterwards.
I'm sure marriage isn't easy all the time, especially once you have kids. I feel that women sacrifice the most when starting a family. So when a guy cheats on his pregnant significant other or the woman that just gave birth to his child I want to strangle him. Not only do women risk their health (sometimes) with a pregnancy but carry another person inside of them for nine months of their life plus the lifelong responsibility once the kid comes out, give up a possible career and "ruin" their body. The quest for that young and tight body is out of control, you are supposed to bounce back really quick to your pre pregnancy body.
Perky boobs, flat stomach, no stretch marks, tight pussy. I mean it's crazy the pressures society puts on women, it's really sad actually. On top of it your significant other might be ogling other women or going to bars and strip clubs getting way too excited. Seriously if that was me, I would end up on Dateline cause my husband/boyfriend would be found dead somewhere with a severed dick, chopped up and stuffed deep down his throat and a baseball bat jammed up his ass. Yeah, I'm THAT crazy psycho bitch, OK. And proud of it! So yeah, do not talk bad about dancers, contrary to popular belief most of us are not that morally flawed. Cause I have ZERO interest in dating a married guy (I never have), I am against cheating (I learned my lesson) and I know of plenty of NON dancers that cheat. And my favorite kind of guy that comes into the club is actually the guy that is in there by chance (not a frequent visitor at all), that tells me he does not want a dance (and actually doesn't get any all night and sits away from the stage) because he is committed to his girlfriend/fiancee/wife. I think those guys are great.
Much respect to them and I never ever push the issue with some bullshit like, "come on she is not here and bla bla bla". No, I don't do that.
I also know somebody that told me he compares every girl he meets to me and that they never hold up. I only know him from the club and he is young, cute and usually single. It's a nice compliment but.....Just as much as you might be tired of your girlfriend or wife, she is tired of you and your shit too OK, don't fool yourself. Everything is more fun, interesting, hot and heavy and bla bla bla in the beginning - that's normal. Give it some time. There will always be somebody younger, better looking, richer etc. And not every relationship is meant to last forever and some are better off to end sooner than later. But we are not talking about shorter meaningless hookups now, I'm talking about committed, serious relationships. When two people supposedly love each other.
So yeah, people cheat.....millions of people apparently. Different circumstances, sometimes I guess people stay together for the sake of the kid/s or for the joint finances and not much else and they are pretty much OK with extramarital affairs. I can't judge them. I don't know what's going on in their lives. But when the other person is left in the dark and then gets devastated to find out about the cheating then I do have a problem with it. So YES, I think it would be GREAT if everybody on Ashley Madison would get exposed. I don't think sites like that promote anything positive. I mean if you are that unhappy you can separate or divorce right? And let your significant other be able to find happiness somewhere else.
Cheating can be discussed for hours, everybody that ever cheated or been cheated on have their own story, explanation and excuses. Since I have other things to do today I think I am done with my two cents for now.
But here are some public messages from me and Mandy.......I put this up on the announcement board at work.

And Mandy sent me this from somewhere in Nebraska......

Queasy

The weekend is almost over, it's Sunday evening and as usual I made errands earlier, came home, fixed food for me and Chhaya and later on we went for a walk. She is sleeping now, dreaming and kicking her legs, curled up body to body with me. I've been feeling queasy all day. A sick feeling, like nausea and a faint lingering headache. I know exactly what it stems from - smoke exposure. I feel like this on a regular basis after an evening at work. The club here is awful, almost everybody is a heavy smoker and the ventilation is really bad.
There have been times when it's so smoky in the club that I am looking for air pockets so I can breathe. I have to fan the air in front of my face so I can take a breath that doesn't taste like smoke. Of course this is not healthy. To prove my point even more a girl I work with, a non smoker too, told me that she recently went in for a physical. She told the doctor that she is a non smoker but the test results came back saying that she is a smoker. Unbelievable!
The club here in town is the only place where she gets subjected to secondhand smoke and it's obviously so severe that the test results done on her as part of a physical say that she is a smoker. That test result lead to her having to pay more for her insurance. Is this right? Absolutely not. The club should pay that increase, not her.
I think it is extremely irresponsible and selfish of business owners to allow smoking inside their establishments. It's 2015 and everybody knows, or should know how BAD smoking is for your own health if you happen to smoke AND for the people that get exposed to secondhand smoke. It's one thing if you don't care about your health but do not poison other people's health with your cigarettes. That is just WRONG. If you think I am exaggerating do your own research about smoking, secondhand smoke and health, there is plenty to read on the subject.
To prove this point even more, I listened to a radio show earlier this afternoon. Info Track I think it's called and they talked about smoking, health and smoke bans. A professor from University of California San Francisco said that recent studies show that there are a significant amount less cases of heart attacks, strokes and asthma directly related to smoking and exposure to smoke in places where there is a strong ban on smoking. Less visits to the hospital for serious issues like these mean a lesser cost on society, millions are saved.
A stroke is serious business. It's nothing that I aspire to ever have to go through. About half of the country is now covered under strong smoking laws and I really hope the other half follows in that direction. Yes, I get it. It's not easy to quit smoking supposedly. The professor on Info Track said nicotine is more addicting than heroin and cocaine. I don't know, I never been addicted to any substances. But I don't want to feel like I do today on a regular basis because of other people's bad habits. My body is telling me it's poisoned. Sure, it's my choice to work in the club but the way I look at it, it is the club (owner/s) that needs to get with the times and realize that they need to ban smoking. Many other businesses here in town banned smoking already, businesses like restaurants and bars. And they got very positive responses. They obviously cared enough about their employees and the customers that do not smoke and actually smokers are a minority but they seem like a majority here on the Kenai Peninsula. You can still cater to the smokers, build a smoking area outside. It's simple to do. I know that some people don't like to go to the club because of the smoke, I also know smokers that think it's way too smoky in there, so imagine how it feels for non smokers then. And I also know of girls that work a night or a few but then decide that the smoke is too much and don't come back. It would not surprise me if non smokers will start suing the places they work at where smoking is allowed if they develop health problems due to the smoke.
It's easy to say "don't go there if you don't like the smoke"......sure, until YOU or somebody you love gets a stroke, heart attack or lung cancer caused by cigarettes. Then you will understand that health is priceless and you will most like regret all those cigarettes you enjoyed over the years.
I found an article that talks about strip clubs and smoking and I think it brings up many good points and facts. Yeah, smoking is GROSS. It feels so outdated, definitely NOT trendy.
It's time to get with the times and ban smoking in public places. Do whatever you want in the privacy of your home but if you do smoke, I hope that you are smart enough to keep that secondhand smoke away from your kids AND pets (if you have any).

Shot Dead

In between the very important news about Kim K's growing badonkadonk and pregnancy and that her little sister Kylie gets lip injections, her ass inflated and hangs out with older dudes we also have the news that a massacre took place in Tunisia. Responsibility taken by the Islamic State, again. This is on repeat now. "Tunisian Secretary of State for Security Rafik Chelly told Mosaique FM the gunman was a student previously unknown to the authorities."He entered by the beach, dressed like someone who was going to swim, and he had a beach umbrella with his gun in it," Chelly said." So far 38 people are dead. I say so far because some might be critically injured and not make it.
WHY? WHY? WHY? JUST WHY? This makes me feel a SICK feeling inside.
I have always wanted to go to Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt but I can't say that I want to since a few years now because I feel it's not safe. In fact I would love to go to several other countries in Africa but that might be indefinitely put on hold.
Then we have the "normal" Muslim that beheaded his boss in France. He impaled the severed head on a fence and surrounded the scene with Islamist flags. Yes, "normal" indeed.
ISIS is promising more terror, meaning MURDER.
I so very much admire Marine Le Pen. She is loudly speaking, in my opinion, what needs to be done. I wish more politician were like her. We got Jimmie Åkesson in Sweden, the leader for the party Sverige Demokraterna. He has taken so much shit in Sweden from fellow politicians and been ridiculed so much in general for speaking THE TRUTH, that I am surprised that he has the strength to go on. In Sweden it is a huge mistake to openly sympathize with Sverige Demokraterna, it's not politically correct and you will be labeled a racist and might even lose your job. IN FACT, my brother lost his job because of this. Yep he did. I might not agree with everything Sverige Demokraterna stands for, I think they have some backwards views on some issues that I think they definitely need to work on but regarding their thoughts on immigration issues I agree.
And I am fully aware of that a crazy kid walked into a church last week here in the US and shot dead nine people. The shooter, 21 years old and white, killed nine black people. Terrorism? No, I would not call this terrorism, this is a crazy/confused kid with some serious issues. My guess is that he grew up drinking in a trailer park in the South somewhere. Drinking your formative teen years away in trailer parks does not contribute to much good usually, certainly not a positive personal development. There are plenty of problems in the US, people here are arguing over race and flags but let's not forget that there is plenty of black on black violent and deadly crime (like Chicago aka Chiraq) that should be addressed by Al Sharpton and his followers. But you better believe that ISIS would gladly have every evil non Muslim American and evil non Muslim European killed if they could, white or black doesn't matter. Cause you know what they say - convert or die. Islam......the religion of peace. As you can see.
