WHY?

"Auschwitz begins wherever someone looks at a slaughterhouse and thinks: theyโ€™re only animals." ~Theodor Adorno

"Dogs live in tiny cages above the ground all their lives. They are separated from their mothers at an early age and some are slaughtered as pups. They do not feel what walking on the ground is like. They can not mingle with other dogs other than those in cages beside them. They suffer summer heat and freezing winters outdoors. They are not given water; they have to eat human food waste such as kimchi. They get no exercise. They have been known to have their eardrums burst to prevent them from barking. Every natural instinct they have is thwarted by the inhumane and tortuous conditions they must live under.
Dogs are electrocuted, hanged, beaten or burned to death. There is a perverted belief that the meat tastes better if dogs have high adrenaline levels in their meat before they die. Therefore, some dogs are made to experience extreme fear and suffering in the lead up to their deaths. Some dogs are hanged and then beaten while they are hanging and still alive. Others are hanged and then a blow torch is used on them while they are still alive to remove their hair. Others still are simply beaten and tortured to death. Generally, at the markets, dogs are electrocuted and then their necks are broken.
Dogs are turned into dog meat, dog meat soup, dog liquor, and dog โ€œhealthโ€ elixirs. Dubious health claims are made about dog products, included the typical claim that it assists male stamina and sexual prowess. Such pathetic claims are made throughout Asia with regard to all manner of animal products to attract equally pathetic male customers. In Korea, over the hottest days of the year, people follow a custom of eating dog meat because it allegedly increases energy. Exercising for health and energy is apparently too much hard work for dog meat eaters."

Taken from koreandogs.org Take a look and see the brutal reality! Do you even care?

I am against ALL forms of cruel treatment towards animals. Animals can't defend themselves. People need to stop thinking that they can take and kill everything they want just because they can. Do I eat meat? I am not going to be a hypocrite and say that I don't, I do eat meat - but not often.
I have been a total vegetarian before. People think they need to eat meat every day - they are wrong. You can eat protein rich grain like quinoa (mother of all grains), it is very tasty and good for you. I eat quinoa. We also need to care more about how the animals are treated during their lives leading up to the slaughter. Could you do this to an animal, mistreat it before you take it's life to feed yourself? Where is the compassion?
My pitbull Chhaya is my loyal, beautiful, wonderful best friend. It hurts in my heart that so many dogs end up this way. I have petted cows, horses, goats, pigs - you name it and seen the goodness in them. I am so ashamed to be a human, I live in a materialistic cruel society consumed by things that are superficial and of no real importance.
Therefore I am no better myself. I know this and it feels awful.
Sure, I can sign hundreds of petitions but will things change for the better for all animals?
It's much easier to read gossip magazines, watch tv and talk about absolute nonsense. I don't like this world. Too much pain and suffering.
And too many people that are too busy to care about anything but their own benefit.
How shameful! Ugh.....I am really sad right now......

Cherries

Got back from work a little before 5 AM. Showered, now I'm laying in bed with a clay mask on my face eating cherries. I have to care of my skin after all that nasty cigarette smoke exposure - yuck. Can't wait for a facial at Anastasia's sometimes soon. I NEED!
Work was fun. Laughed a lot because I was making my (sick) jokes as always, freaking people out. I should write a blog and explain that a little more but not this time around. Made way more $ on stage last night but did more dances tonight.

I am going to finish the yummy cherries now and sleep. Oh, before I forget.....when I first started dancing I went by "Cherry". LOL. I remember that I was asked what name I wanted to use and I could not think of anything besides a street name in Long Beach close to where I used to live, so Cherry it was - for some time. Not anymore......!

Bath

After our walk in the rain this afternoon Chhaya was so dirty she needed a bath. Not her favorite thing to be subjected to.
But it had to be done. Now she is happily gnawing away at some bones while I am mustering up energy for another night of work......

Dumb girls at work

Some girls I work with are just so lame and insecure. Too bad.....for them. It's kind of amusing to me! The other night a group of four guys came in, they come here for a week or so in the summer to fish, they are from Virginia and call themselves "The Virginia Boys". Anyhow, I met them before and they really like me, according to them
I am their favorite and they think all kinds of nice things about me.
Sweet! Well, I was chit chatting and catching up with them and then I got busy with stage and making rounds.
A little later I sat down with one of them and he told me that a girl had asked him for a dance and he had told her that the only girl that he would have dancing for him was me. So she said kind of snarky, "What is it about her anyway?". And he went on to inform her that him and his friends think that I am the most beautiful girl in the club, every summer they have been up. Not only that, I am super cool, not pushy and one of the smartest and nicest girls he has met, ever. HIS words, not mine. That shut her up. HA! If I ask a guy in the club if he wants a dance and he tells me that he is waiting for somebody else, for example Lexi. I say, "Great, have a wonderful evening!". I am not going to ask him what's so special about Lexi or tell him that he should dance with me instead because I am so much better, bla bla bla or some other dumb shit some girls say. I would never do that, even if I think that the girl he is waiting for is kind of ugly or whatever. Not that I think Lexi is ugly, I am just using her as an example. It's not ok to do that, shows no respect for your co workers and makes you look like an insecure fool.
But since this twerpy girl from the other night opened the can of worms already, it's fair game. I think she looks like a twerp, in need of some rhinoplasty, has a mousy face, some bad saggy boobs and she jerks around like a fish on land when she is "dancing" on stage - it's painful to watch. So she can just take a good look at me and realize that she will never look anything like me, no matter how many times she asks guys, "What it is about her anyway?" The only cute thing about her is her butt, I will give her that, the rest......not so much. Then she had the nerve to ask me last night, what my name is.
I looked at her and said, "Don't you know what my name is, you wanted to know what was so special about me last night". She didn't know what to say after that. Lame girl, go back and jerk around on stage at that pathetic club you "dance" at in Anchorage. And no, I am not talking about The Bush, I hope they have higher standards than that (though I heard the contrary.......).

I'm a Foodie!

Went back to Veronica's today again because I wanted more apple pie a la mode. I am such a foodie, I could never subject myself to any diet because I would never be able to follow it. Though sometimes I am thinking about doing a juice cleanse just to see if that would do me any good. Food makes me happy and I love trying out new restaurants. FOOOOOOD!!!! Right now I would love some kraut and potato pierogies with fried onion........mmmmmmmm! Or pizza!

Lunch

Met up with Lexi at Veronica's for lunch. As you can see we wore matching shirts.
We talked about work, pedicures and boys.
I am kind of tired today, got woken up too early by the phone ringing, again. But I don't have time to rest, Chhaya needs to go outside.
I might squeeze in a small nap before work tonight. Lexi told me she might not go in to work. But in case you didn't know this yet, me and Lexi are the cutest girls in the club. Come in and see for yourself!
;-)
