Good Morning

I haven't been able to sleep that well since I got to Vegas.....last night I only got four hours of sleep and that's not enough for me , I like and need my sleep. After tossing and turning in bed for a few hours I decided that I would not be able to fall back asleep so I got up and went down to my fave mall in town, Fashion Show.
Good Morning pics and yummy morning drink.

I found a pretty pink bra at Victoria's Secret that I might get, I'm going to think about it for a while. Then I saw a gorgeous bikini and crocheted tunic that I fell in love with at Everything But Water. But do I really need all this stuff? Yes and no, I don't need but I want. What I really am looking for is a new bag, preferably black and not too big so I can use it everyday.
I browsed Michael Kors and Prada but didn't see anything I liked. Then I came across this beauty by Givenchy, exactly what I want. Love it! The pic does not do it justice.

The price is the same as a small functioning car. I want this Givenchy bag!
Is Santa coming soon?

Park

I am finally getting some warm sunshine on me after some cold and dark months in Alaska.
I went to the park today and yesterday and it felt so good and I already feel so much better, good food and weather is great.....at least for me. I just now got done in the shower, got ready and now I am going out for a crazy night in Vegas. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.....! Or does it? Well, it does for me. I am ready for some FUN after boring torture in Kenai.

Busy

It's busy here in Vegas....many people are in town for the weekend....St Patrick's Day and March Madness is coming up. The weather is good, I like the winter months in Vegas, end of September until end of March. Summer is a bit too hot for my taste, I don't like the feeling of getting scorched by the sun and wait until sundown to venture outside. Here are some pics from the Strip from the other night. I am going to Whole Foods now for some fooooood......I'm starving and then I am going to walk and maybe run in a park close to my house.

Welcome To Las Vegas

There is one thing that has happened down at the Strip since I left Las Vegas.....besides a few new hotels and a giant Ferris wheel (the High Roller - love the name) that will be open for business soon. There are now more people hustling on the Strip, quite a large number actually. Back in the day there were porn slappers all over the place, I haven't seen them this time around but maybe I was in the wrong spot. But I always thought that the porn slappers were annoying, an embarrassment for the city and wanted them gone anyways. No thanks, I don't need any flyers for naked girls straight to my room shoved in the face....ok. Now there is a plethora of people dressed up in all kinds of costumes....cartoons, superheroes, showgirls, sexy cops, famous movie characters.....you name it. Kind of like on Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles, you see the same concept there. Then the tourists will take pics with the dressed up people, for a donation of course. This is how they make a living.....I wonder if it's lucrative?
I think it seems annoying to stand out on the street hustling people for pics and tips but different strokes for different folks. It definitely helps if you are two good looking girls dressed in something revealing and matching (guys love that twin fantasy you know), like these two. Welcome to Las Vegas.....I wonder if people get a severe culture shock when they make their way down the Strip for the first time?

You also get approached by people wanting to give you passes to the "hottest" club, strip clubs, bars etc. The Strip is full of hustlers nowadays, back in the day we had the porn slappers and the occasional prostitutes (that would end up on Cops).

Retail Therapy

Although tired and in need of sleep I could not fall asleep this evening, I guess I'm too wired or something. So I headed out for some retail therapy, nothing like going to the malls here in Vegas, that always makes me feel better. I did not find much though.....but I did get a new eyeshadow from MAC. And an ice blended coffee from the Coffee Bean to sip on while shopping.

I was looking forward to see the new stuff at Victorias's Secret, especially hoping to find a new pretty bra but no, no bra screamed my name. I did get a white long shirt/tunic with fringes.
It looks a bit hippie.....perfect for Burning Man. I also saw a black full piece bathing suit that looked super sexy, reminded me of a Bond Girl bathing suit but they only had it in a Large, need to look for my size in another Victoria's Secret store.

I always sample Teavana, love it.

Besides the retail therapy and being tired I feel kind of sad. The first few days in Vegas, when I come back here are always bittersweet for me. Being here brings back so many memories, I've had so much fun in this town but it's over now. Sometimes I have a difficult time with things being over and done with and I tend to dwell on the past. When I drove past where Utopia used to be earlier I teared up, I will never again come out of Utopia into the bright Vegas sunshine after closing the club down. Thinking about that place feels weird.
I remember how excited I used to be driving along Las Vegas Blvd knowing I had a night of dancing and great music ahead of me.....no more! It feels like yesterday although it's been years. The reality that I will never go out with my friends here again like we used to several times a week feels sad......BOHOOOOO we used to have so much FUN.....! So I am feeling weird and sad tonight. Maybe I should start practicing yoga so I can feel better about certain things? Just a thought that struck me tonight.

City Lights

Yes, I needed some city lights. So I am in Vegas, got here this morning. Things are the same here, feels good to be back.....or home, or what is home for me nowadays? I'm not sure.
I have mixed emotions and I miss Chhaya. Plus I am tired from the traveling and the lack of sleep, so I am feeling a bit off right now. And I miss Chhaya!!!! But I said that already.

I ate at Whole Foods, of course. I always make a beeline for Whole Foods as soon as I get to Vegas, I love that place. The weather is great right now so I enjoyed my meal outside, wearing flip flops.

Later on I drove down to The Strip and went to the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood just to see some nice things, stuff that I like. And I got an ice blended coffee and the latest Las Vegas Weekly. So nice to be able to get a good coffee after 10 pm if that's what I want.

But I need to catch up on my sleep now. More from me tomorrow.....unless I get too busy with stuff in Vegas.
