Hiiiiiiii Blog! It's late Sunday and I want to show my Gideon Shiatsu Deep Kneeding Massage Pillows with Heat......in case anyone else is interesting in getting one.
I got two. A friend of mine was talking so enthusiastically about this item that I decided to get two. And they are OK.....not like going to my massage lady Cathy but not bad. Thank You Amazon!



I also got two new books to read the other day, they were both staff picks at Barnes & Noble and they seemed OK when I quickly scanned through the text at the back of them in the store, hungry for some new reading material......then the other night I attempted to read them and was disappointed with both.
So annoying, when you look forward to reading a book and then you just don't like it. That doesn't happen too often for me but these two books I don't think I will read, I guess I will just give them away. I need some new amazing books to read!
But I do read Adbusters. So a month into America's new POTUS.....how do you think he is holding up? I have not followed everything but there has been some cringeworthy moments. I hope Ivanka steps in some more to keep him in check. The pressure to perform well as President is on now and the World is watching, who knows.....he might not last four years? By the way, I love that picture of Ivanka sitting behind the Oval Office desk with her Dad and Justin Trudeau standing on either side of her. Did you know that Ivanka converted to Judaism when she married her husband and that they honor Shabbath?
I was trying to get out of work by telling them I had to observe Shabbath too and there was also the "Day Without Immigrants" a few days ago that I said I had to honor......yeah, they think that I am kind of crazy at work.
Anyhow.....since I have Adbusters in front of me I need to quote some stuff from it.

Now from politics and world problems to something totally different, girls in bikinis. I LOVE Sports Illustrated but this 2017 edition is probably the worst I have seen. What happened to all the beautiful girls? Irina Shayk is pregnant so she can't do it and I love her but seriously Kate Upton on the cover....again? She is not, in my opinion, Sports Illustrated material, neither is Chrissy Teigen. Kate is large and flabby. Yes.....large for being a model of that caliber. Perhaps not large compared to the average girl/woman in the US but for modeling she is not in good shape at all. Hannah Ferguson looks good in the pictures and in the model search they had some very beautiful girls and my my fave was Barbara Palvin. Gorgeous face and body.
A couple of the models were very fortunate and got to travel all the way to Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort up in Lapland, Finland. I want to go there too and meet Santa, steam in a sauna and sleep in a glass igloo!
Yes, Tati the connoisseur of beautiful girls have spoken. I have seen many so I know what I am talking about.....

In honor of Valentine's Day I have been entertaining myself by making pink latte at work. Well.....pink foam latte. So pretty! ❤️️





I even got a new apron with hearts on it.

Happy Valentine's Day to YOU from me and Chhaya. She got a pink pig but she tore the stuffing out of it in like one minute. I got some stuff too......I am very grateful. Now I am going to take her out for a late evening walk and then I am going to bed.

I got a surprise at work yesterday. A long handwritten, 25 pages long may I add, letter and a 1976 National Geographic were waiting for me. In the letter it says, "When I first read in your blog, 'Get ready to get addicted', I remember saying to myself, 'Wow, that's quite presumptuous of her to say'. I was addicted in one week".
Well.....thank you "superfan" for the letter, the magazine and your kind words.
I am glad that you find my blog entertaining, or should I say addicting....? I had no clue that you can have Siri read my blog out loud - wow.....now I know! I might have to try that myself one day.
And I am glad that I have influenced you in certain areas - you mention eating less meat as one and that makes me very happy. I have actually had two other people tell me the same in the past.
I love it when people read my blog and reach out to me to let me know.....throughout the years I've got quite a few emails from people telling me that they've enjoyed reading my ramblings.
Again.....thank you kindly for making the extra effort in letting me know that you enjoy the blog. 🙂



The National Geographic has a long article about Stockholm, with great pictures of the city too - very cool. I grew up in Stockholm and I will save the magazine. TACK!

But now I am going to take out my contact lenses and call it a night. I have to be up early tomorrow again. I had a long but good day today. Me and Chhaya went for a long walk this evening. She is sleeping already. I LOVE the feeling of drifting to sleep when I am really tired......I love sleeping.

Today I felt a strong craving for pizza so I decided I would have pizza time this evening. Well, one large pizza turned into two. I guess they burnt my first pizza, a Margherita and the manager decided to give me the slightly burnt pizza plus another large pizza and a $5 off coupon. Thank You Grimaldi's! So now I have food for the rest of the week, well not really actually......because I scarfed down most of the burnt pizza already.



Actually eating burnt food, certain burnt foods is kind of bad. Studies have linked burnt food to cancer, read up on it yourself. Look up acrylamide and burnt food.

I am kind of tired, I want to hop in the bath and wash my hair before I get too comfortable and fall asleep. Last night I fell asleep with Chhaya on her bed, not the first time we fall asleep together on her bed (dog bed) although "my" bed is her bed too. Of course. Somtimes snuggling on a doggie bed feels very cozy.
Well, I have to be up at 6 15 am so I am going to say goodnight now.
ONE more thing before I go......I had a package waiting for me at work today with a magazine and a letter from one of my readers. More about that tomorrow.

Monday today.....I needed to get some stuff done that I have been kind of procrastinating with.
But first breakfast, latte and a croissant from Illumilatte.



Then a trip to the post office with the remaining Christmas presents.....Santa's little helper came along. It is still January so it's almost kind of still Christmas if you really stretch it.....? No? I bet some folks have not put away the Christmas tree and the decorations yet. I sent half of the presents about two weeks ago and today it was finally time for the rest. Better late than never, right? The large box was shipped to Sweden. For the small sum of $104. For one package. My post office trips are usually kind of pricey. I wonder if I can work there once or twice a year just to make my Christmas gift sending money back? And if I can brag a bit about myself.....I love giving gifts and I give great gifts. Lucky you if you get a gift from me.



The me and Chhaya went to the park, or PARKIE as we call it. Today we did a SNIFFIE WALK, that means we take our time and Chhaya just explores and smells whatever she wants. Other times we do a WALKIE WALK, that is when she can sniff around a bit and go pee and stuff but we walk faster and it is more like an exercise thing.



We were matching. Chhaya was wearing her new pink harness, or HARNIE as I call it by KONG and I wore pink sneakers.



After the PARKIE we went to a friend's house for some more coffee and snacks. Today I tried the Starbucks instant vanilla latte, it was OK. I can drink caffeine right before bedtime, I don't get affected by it.

Went to a place called PublicUs this afternoon with my cafe squad. Well.....it was me, the owner and the manager and their spouses plus the owner's boy.
Not everybody could make it. Another time hopefully. We wanted to check out PublicUs since it has great reviews. In case you want to go it's located on Fremont Street and Maryland Parkway.
My fave part was that they have small real trees inside the place and tables built around them, I like that. But besides that I don't think I will go back......we all had a tea called London Fog and we all sent it back because instead of hot, ever warm......they served it to us tepid because that's how it is supposed to be. Really? So we had them remake them for us. I am the person that orders my latte extra hot......so a tepid tea was like yuck. But the company was great, I really enjoy the people I work with - we have fun together and get along.





Then I drove through Las Vegas Boulevard, I haven't been on the Strip in a while. They are building new hotels, a huge (or should I say YUGE) building is slowly coming up north of the Encore and then they are building Resorts World which is on a large piece of land.....but that one is still a few years away from being finished.
Chinese New Year is upon us, year of The Rooster - Happy Chinese New Year!
You can go and celebrate at the Lucky Dragon (opened a few months ago) an Asian themed hotel. If you are in the mood for some bird nest soup you can savor some at a restaurant called Phoenix for "only"
$168. Bird nest soup.......BARF! I am shuddering with the thought of eating that, sorry to all the bird nest soup lovers out there.
Business as usual in Sin City - girls to your room, just dial a number. Just be careful so you don't get robbed of your money, watch, laptop and left locked out nekkid on the hotel balcony. It happens. That is what you get for being desperate and stupid I guess......



Well....I have watched the entire three seasons of SKAM again. I will probably watch the whole thing a third time and I can't wait for season four to come out.
I love it! The love story between Noora and William is super cute but then he (William) kind of disappears and that is very disappointing but the MOST romantic and beautiful love story I have ever (?) seen is the one between Even and Isak. OMG. I can't get enough of them two and the whole of Sweden is also buzzing with SKAM fever, everybody is in love with Even and Isak or as they are also called.....EVAK.
Also, the acting is SUBERB. I don't know where they found these kids but they are AMAZING and so cute all of them. It feels very real, like they are not acting at all. And I really like the portrayal of friendship amongst the main characters, especially the boys. It is so nice to see just genuine friendship and that they care about each other. Makes me REALLY miss my old and true friends in Sweden, what I have with them is that kind of friendship.

I can totally relate. I know how it feels to be deeply sad and when everything seems hopeless......
