Sunday

This Sunday has been nice. It's amazing how some sunshine can make you feel so much better. Happy! After working four nights in a row I decided to take tonight off. Besides, I thought I was going to get second hand smoke poisoning last night, it was so smokey at work I almost felt sick, I had a hard time finding clean air to breathe. I hate that I am subjected to breathing in second hand smoke, it's gross and unhealthy. I think that every club and bar should be made smoke free, smokers can smoke in a designated area or better yet - quit. So around 1 AM I decided to go home, it was totally lame anyways, just some people sitting around the bar, smoking, drinking and talking, not getting dances. So since I wasn't making any money I decided that I'd rather go home than breathe in carcinogenic smoke. Plus some annoying guy thought that maybe me and him could be friends outside of the club, like go to the movies or some other bar in town because he doesn't have any friends in town. Ummmmm........no thank you. It's nothing personal but you can talk to me at work, besides I do not go to any of the other bars or "clubs" around here. It's ok to ask but it becomes annoying when people (guys) don't understand NO and keep on asking, trust me if I wanted to see you outside of work I would let you know.
Also, a girl I work with that comes in from Anchorage once in a while declared that she has had a crush on me since the summer, she supposedly loves my butt and my hair and she wants to photograph me. She said she can take great pictures. Why not? I like having my picture taken, if the person holding the camera knows how to use it. Angles and light - crucial.
Today I went to town to do some errands, got some movies, a latte. Later on I had a delicious dinner. Took a bath. Now I am drinking tea and reading other people's blogs. Most of them live in Sweden where blogging is huge.

Saturday

It's Saturday, cold and gray outside with a resemblance of a sun shining somewhere far away in the gray sky. I can feel that moody winter blues slowly setting in, not good. There is snow here already although today it's heavy, wet and a little slushy today.
I worked three nights so far - work has been uneventful. There is not a lot of money to be made here now but I can't sit around at the house, doing nothing and live off my savings - that would be really dumb.
I managed to go to the gym yesterday and I am going to try to keep that up a few times a week throughout the winter. Last February or so I thought I got chunky, for me, I don't want that to happen this winter.
Right now I really miss Vegas and what I have there. 😥
My plans for today? Walk with Chhaya, gym then work. At least I have Chhaya, she makes me happy.
That's all I have for now. Boring......I know, I know but that's how I feel today......boring and gray.

Photography

Marlena Bielinska is a Polish photographer that gets published in Playboy and many other magazines......I like her. I love her nudes that she has on her site.
She should look me up so we can create some beautiful art together. ;-)

Speaking of something else, I really need at haircut. I was supposed to get it cut around Halloween in LA but since Monster Massive got cancelled I didn't go to LA. So I have to find some place here in Kenai, going to get a trim, around one inch I think.
This lady had REALLY long hair, she was PMOY in 1978, Debra Jo Fondren.

Last Pics

Here are the last pics I am sharing from the waterfall shoot a few months ago. There is snow here now and winter is here. I hope I will be able to manage the winter ok, it's easy to become unmotivated and stagnant during the winter months here in Alaska.
Maybe I have to occupy myself with the gym and some swimming a few times a week. And work.

Forward

I just watched Obama's acceptance speech. I think it was a good one with a great message, no matter where you stand in the political spectrum it is important to work together for the greater good. My opinions will differ from yours, we all come from different backgrounds but that doesn't mean that we can't get along. And respect each other.
Here are some snippets from the speech that I especially liked......

".....the belief that while each of us will pursue our own individual dreams, we are an American family and we rise or fall together as one nation and as one people."

"That’s where we need to go -- forward.
Now, we will disagree, sometimes fiercely, about how to get there. As it has for more than two centuries, progress will come in fits and starts. It’s not always a straight line. It’s not always a smooth path."

"But that doesn’t mean your work is done. The role of citizens in our Democracy does not end with your vote. America’s never been about what can be done for us. It’s about what can be done by us together through the hard and frustrating, but necessary work of self-government. That’s the principle we were founded on."

"I have always believed that hope is that stubborn thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us so long as we have the courage to keep reaching, to keep working, to keep fighting."

"......it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from or what you look like or where you love. It doesn’t matter whether you’re black or white or Hispanic or Asian or Native American or young or old or rich or poor, able, disabled, gay or straight......"

I like the part about that a citizens role doesn't end with a vote. I believe that every adult here on this planet has a personal responsibility to try to be a good person and do their part in the collective good for humanity, no matter where you live. You can always do SOMETHING good. Every effort, big or small counts.
I like that Obama seems to love his wife very much, he has a beautiful family. And I also like that he is open-minded to gay issues. A president should be open-minded and forward thinking.
That whole mumbo jumbo about abortion and rape that came out of some stuffy old confused mans mouth is just ridiculous.
I belive in womens rights and pro choice in case you wonder.
I also believe in population control, animal rights, peace, the urgent need to address environmental issues, that people need to stop littering, the legalization of drugs, the importance of education, personal freedom, free health care paid for by taxes, much less pro-corporate, the importance of human rights, not too much government interference and an honest government that works for the people and wants the good for people in general with no hypocricy, lies and much less emphasis of the love of money.

And no, I didn't vote. I can't, I am not a citizen. But I did make sure to take somebody to vote, so I think I contributed somewhat.
Who would I had voted for? Hmmmmmmm, I would had probably voted Independent.
That's all from me for now......GOOD NIGHT!
