Cramped For Time

I really felt cramped for time today, woke up, went to Kaladi, took care of a bunch of errands in town, the gym, home to eat. Now it's completely dark outside, not even the moon is out, it's hiding somewhere behind the clouds. I'm going to get dressed and take Chhaya out for a walk despite the darkness, I'm going to put a blinking light on her collar and grab a flashlight. After the walk I need to start getting ready for work. Phew......and be there until at least 4 am or so, unless we close early, before I can go home and go to sleep.
It's is so cozy at Kaladi right now, they have a fire going. I just want to sit there all afternoon.

I forced myself to go to the gym, it's not easy to feel enthusiastic about that.....I rarely do.
But afterwards I always feel good about going plus healthy and strong.

Next week I have a facial booked in Anchorage and while I'm there I hope to get most of my Christmas gift shopping done. I also have a gift certificate for a massage to redeem here in town, I might take that massage next week. OK, time to get dressed and venture out in the dark.

This evenings walk was a hit. Chhaya gets super excited over anything that blinks and she loves flashlights. I think we have to do the after dark walks more often.

Cupcake Personality

Yesterday I brought some cupcakes to work, red velvet and vanilla. A good cupcake is one of the yummiest things. Cricket (yes, that's her name) never had red velvet before so me and Boss Lady made her try one.

On the cupcake boxes I saw that you can take a cupcake personality test, so I did. I've taken a few online tests lately. Mandy made me do the 16 personalities test (16personalities.com).
My personality? ESFJ. Then the other day I did a Jung Typology test on humanmetrics.com and a Chakra test.....so now I know everything I need about my inner self, my chakras and my strengths and weaknesses......Oh yeah my cupcake test results, I am a vanilla bean gourmet cupcake. "Golden and sweet with a smile. The kindest soul in town. You’re always looking out for others and helping others when you can. You also put your friends and family interests before your own which helps drive you forward and gives a feeling of accomplishment."
I think my cupcake test is spot on! You can do one too, kimberleysbakeshoppe.com

Trivia

Last night I went to Odie's for an evening of trivia.....I LOVE trivia! It was just me and my friend Traci, another girl was supposed to join us but she cancelled. This was the first time for trivia at Odie's for both me and Traci. There were 14 teams total. Only our team, that we named Chhaya, and one other team had two participants, majority of the teams had four of five people, five was the maximum. The questions were rather tough. They covered many different topics like world flags, Christmas songs, Disney movie sidekick characters, comedy, 70's music, knowledge about Alaska, countries in Europe, general knowledge, technology.....and that's all I can think of right now, it's going on 4 am here and I'm a bit tired. I had lots of fun and hope to participate in another round of trivia next week, with better results of course.

After the trivia I went to work which was a mistake because only three people, all lame druggies actually, came in. Not sure why, maybe they were looking to score some more drugs or maybe they needed something to do while tweaking. Complete waste of my time. One of them, that I thought was going to fall asleep cause he was nodding out (I suspect) wanted to "talk to me" like off to the side somewhere. He was really creepy, ummmmmm....no thank you. I told him I did not want to talk. If you don't want a lap dance and don't even have any money to tip on stage = I do not want to talk to you. Sorry, go to a regular bar and talk to some girl there instead, better luck there because I'm just not interested. I don't go to work to find a boyfriend, I go to work to make money. You never know in advance what a night at work has in store, makes it interesting. I have been doing OK lately and it's been fun overall. Last night some people decided I was an angel, funny cause I heard it from somebody else not too long ago......Yeah, tonight was awful but at least I looked cute.....or angelic perhaps?

I also found out that there is going to be a re election in Sweden in March of next year. What? This is embarrassing. A re election? I'm not understanding this, the parties can't get along in the sandbox or something? I know it's not popular to say it out loud but I hope Sverigedemokraterna (Sweden Democrats) stick around ('m sure they will). I am all for stricter, way stricter immigration policies in Sweden. Sweden has been a very generous country for over four decades and very tolerant country too. I should also throw in words like kind and naive too. It's time to wake up, smell the coffee and grow a backbone. This is not the 60's and 70', the immigration to Sweden was different back then and the country was not what it is today. People came to work then, now they arrive, sit around and live off welfare. And some of them even have the nerve to complain. That is no longer sustainable. Wake up Sweden. I've said that for years.
It's not waking up time for me.....it's sleep time now.

At The Office

I'm at the office, Coffee Roasters.....trying to muster up inspiration. It's kind of cold and grey out today. I need to dig out my thick winter jackets now, I don't want to but on today's walk with Chhaya I felt like it's about time I do that.
And now I'm sitting here trying to find inspiration to write about something interesting but nothing is popping up. I'm just staring out the window watching the cars drive by and some people moving around in the parking lot. There is only one other person in here besides me and the barista and he is kind of crazy I decided. I already listened to a few of his very loud conversations he had with people on the phone. Maybe I should leave before he goes completely postal. Actually I am leaving, I am going to try to find inspiration to get on the treadmill and do some squats at the gym.

Headline Pic

If there was a stripper magazine that came out weekly or monthly THIS would be the headline and the pic on the cover.

Tatiana's shoes have to retire. Noooooo! The silver ones are beyond help, one of them just decided that it had enough last week. The pink pair are still hanging in there by the help of some staples in the right shoe. A few months ago the top just ripped in half but Tatiana refused to let them go so she stapled the shoe back together (can you spot the staples?).
The look is "modern" and "industrial", in case you wonder.....Funny fact is that the silver ones have been worn more than the pink ones but the silver ones broke down before the pink.
Silver and pink, just like the salmon here in Alaska. These shoes have lasted a long time, probably record time for any of Tatiana's work shoes. Now the silver ones are done but the pink still have a few more rounds in them Tatiana thinks. When Mandy saw Tatiana's shoes she was like, "WTF, ewwwww!!! Get rid of those immediately!" but it's not THAT bad Tatiana thinks. Yes, there are rhinestones missing but the shoes don't smell or anything.
Besides, Tatiana can think of other faux pas way grosser at work, like a dancer with BO or wearing the same outfit every night for three years, TRUE facts and THAT is GROSS!!!!
Lucky for Tatiana she has a pair of almost new shoes at home, not as many rhinestones, only on the heel and then she found a pair of pink glitter ones stowed away in a bin when packing a few weeks ago, old but still useable. Then of course Tatiana still have these beauties but she is saving them, for what she is not sure. Perhaps for a ball in the castle, Cinderella style.

OTHER news but not as important as Tatiana's broken platforms of course are......The Wild Alaskan "stripper boat" on Kodiak where Tatiana worked last July had it's liquor license revoked recently. Here is a link

http://www.ktva.com/kodiaks-stripper-boat-stripped-of-liquor-license-383

I actually feel bad for Darren (the owner) in this matter, not sure I follow the ins and outs about obtaining a liquor license but it seems like it's a complicated process with many hurdles to overcome with rather rigid regulations. I'm sure he is extremely frustrated now, which is understandable since he has lots of time and money invested into this boat.
One more thing, I don't think that the girl on stage in the footage is a good representation of the "classy" that Darren so wanted to go with. I just had to say that. At least not what I picture when I think of a classy dancer. And yes, those DO exist! I almost had to hide behind a pillow when I watched that. Sorry if I'm offending anyone but that is my opinion.

Sapphire in Las Vegas, calling themselves the worlds largest strip club recently got sued by many of their dancers. Another club is getting sued. Goes to show you that you can boast to be the biggest and still get in trouble when not following the laws regarding how to treat the people you employ. I worked there and I was diligent and kept every receipt for the house fees that I paid....if I recall it was $80/night since I was on the evening/night shift. The club is open 24/7. I remember when Sapphire opened, I was pissed because I did not think that Vegas needed another strip club (I was working at Crazy Horse Too then) plus there was a gym at the location Sapphire is now standing. They tore down that gym to build the club and it was my gym AND the best gym I have ever been to, super nice, I mean suuuuper nice and since I was a dancer in Vegas I got to partake in all the luxuries of that gym for a small monthly fee. I loved that gym and they closed down to build Sapphire......sheeesh!
I guess I could partake in that lawsuit maybe? I have to ask my legal adviser Mandy that is way more well informed on those issues than I am, if I should even bother. And that my friends were the latest news in the strip club world......

RIP my pretty silver heels.....classic pic of them when they were almost new. Now they have retired.

Cyber Monday

So far I am having a great start of this week. I got the body chain I have been wanting for a while for 20% off because it's Cyber Monday today, some big online shopping day from my understanding. I don't do a lot of online shopping because you can't try the stuff on.....but the few items I have bought online I have been happy with. Wait, with one exception. A few years ago I got a pair of pants and they were too big.....and expensive. Too bad cause they are bad ass looking. I wish I could wear them but they sag on me.
This will be my third body chain from TatiRocks. I love my body chains, I get lots of compliments on them.
Well, today the snow was falling, completely gray out and windy. I took Chhaya out for a long walk and we still enjoyed ourselves. It definitely feels and looks like winter now. I'm feeling kind of cozy today, I feel like my house is a warm and comfortable cocoon.

Then I got a few more things done today, instead of being lazy I scratched stuff off my to do list today. It's only 8 PM and my night is just starting.....
