Tatiana doesn't know if you have heard of the term "microlending" before...... Basically it means that a person lends money to another, usually another poor person, with not much money but with a business idea. And then when they can, within a certain time frame, the borrower will repay the lender. It is a much nicer system than getting a loan from a bank (with sky high shark interest rates, also many countries might not lend money to poor people etc. So you are basically helping somebody out to hopefully better their life. It is NICE!!!!

Sunday, day off. Decided to go to Thunderbird Falls with Chhaya. On the way out there it started raining, then snowing. I guess winter is here, it feels good, it was so nice out, really happy I got out today. Thunderbird Falls is a great little hike and the waterfall at the end is strong and impressive. Have to go there again soon.
I love the nature! I can't stand people that think it's ok to discard their empty cans, bottles, cigarette butts etc etc when they are finished consuming their stuff out in nature. That's gross and so low life. Pick up your trash!
Not that I saw a bunch of stuff laying around on my hike today. Only a can and a plastic bag. Just wanted to let you know how I feel about this subject.

Have you ever, or do you know and/or care for somebody with a substance problem? Have you heard about Ibogaine? It is a Schedule 1 drug here in USA, meaning it is illegal to possess and use. But it is an actual treatment for substance problems in some places. And it can also be used to reach greater insights about your own personal self. Something that is extremely fascinating I find. I would love to try Ibogaine, maybe one day, if the timing is right. I don't have any substance problems but I want to know myself and "the great unknown" better.

Must also add here that I am totally against restricting adults from using, if they wish, things like Ibogaine. This can help people. But the pharmaceutical companies would not benefit from this and since we live in a society that is for capital gain instead of happy, healthy people, a root like Iboga is illegal.
But by all means, just feed people Methadone, Prozac, Adderall, Zoloft and all that other crap. At least they will have to spend $$$ on doctor visits and prescriptions. This makes me mad.
Tatiana was supposed to work tonight but decided to stay home and rest her arm that is hurting. She hugged way too many people last time she was working and needs a break. What better way to spend her off time than to enlighten you with her valuable wisdom? Soak it up!

Many people do not understand what a "rave" is, many think and believe due to faulty media information that it is some kind of a drug fest, full of underage kids running around, high off their minds.
Yes, there are some high off their mind kids at raves (and they are very cute and harmless btw) but there is also SOOO much more. Raves are really a neo hippie movement, something that stands against the rat race society. Many highly educated and interesting people have attended and spoken at raves, for example Terence McKenna and Albert Hofmann. People that harbor very valuable knowledge that should be shared.
PLUR is a word that is associated with the rave movement. That stands for Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. What is wrong with that?
The music is the key at a rave, people are dancing everywhere and if you think about it, dancing is very primal. Humans have been dancing to the drum beat since the beginning of time. Dancing is a form of communication, healing and therapy, it makes you feel better. And the music at raves is SO GOOD, you have to experience it to understand it.
Many people that turn to raves will be ravers for life if they are open to comprehend the full meaning of a rave. Tatiana will be a raver for life.
What about the drugs? Yes, drugs are prevalent at raves. But you need to understand that there are plenty of drugs everywhere in everyday life. Such as cigarettes and alcohol. Doctors prescribe sk legal drugs generously, even to young children. Tatiana would rather "damage" her body with Ecstasy and Magic Mushrooms once in a while than get drunk every weekend and smoke a pack of cigarettes every day. Guaranteed the later gives you more damage. And we as a society do not fully comprehend the results of prescription drugs yet. People are gobbling up anti depressants, Adderall etc like it is the answer. Surely not beneficial for most.
Tatiana believes that drugs can do wonders but it is important to educate yourself about them and use them in moderation instead of abusing them. Sure drugs can have a devestating effect, unfortunately, but so can driving a car if you are unlucky.
Drugs in nature such as Magic Mushrooms, iboga, ayahuasca have been used for spiritual enlightenment by groups of people. Don't you think there is a reason for the government to outlaw drugs that can enlighten us and allow drugs like Zoloft to zombify the masses? Be carful to buy in to the illusion that we are truly free as humans. The fact is that we are more or less controlled by the government.
Raves are movements against this control. They are happy gatherings, Tatiana has never witnessed violence at raves and that nasty meat market behavior that is prevalent at most nightclubs where alcohol is usually the first drug of choice.
Raves are some of the highlights of Tatianas life, she is constantly looking forward to her next one.
They just showed on tv that senator McCain is suspending his race for presidency to concentrate on the financial crisis fallout. America might be heading for a great recession. This might be the worst economical crisis since the 20' and 30's.
Tatiana is worried.......No more buckets of money after her stages at The Bush? No more guys needing a therapeutic chat and lapdance? Say it isn't so!!!
Well, Tatiana doesn't know how much you know about the year 2012, the end of The Mayan calendar. Only a few years away. Major changes might be coming depending on what you believe. Some believe in doomsday and that could very well be the same thing. The Earth might be going through some huge changes, these are interesting times we are living in. We, as the human race should and need to come to an understanding and get enlightened on many different subjects. These changes could be vary scary and violent and there might only be a few humans left on Earth fending for themselves. Or there might be a spiritual, happy ending, hopefully.
Tatiana definitely believes that women need to become fully just as important in society as men, the feminine is just as important as the masculine, hence Yin and Yang, there needs to be a balance. That is of utter importance, right now and since a very long time the masculine has been prevalent and that's why the planet is suffering with wars and problems.
Back in the day women were not allowed to vote, buy property and were even burned alive for any reason at all. We, at least in the Western society have overcame that but true equal status have not been achieved, yet. But we are moving in the right direction. Rifle toting Palin is not a good example though.
Women are natural nurturers (not all, but most) and this planet needs to be nurtured right now because it is suffering. Each and every one of us can make a difference in the right direction. So go out there and do something good today!
Tatiana changed her schedule and is now off on Sundays, that's a good thing. Actually Tatiana often feels a slight hint of sadness on many Sundays, it probably stems from childhood, that whole "oh no, the weekend is over and school starts tomorrow" thing. But yeah, Tatiana often feels a little down on Sundays.
So Tatiana watched her new guilty pleasure on VH1, "I love money". Do you watch it too? Who do you think will get the money?

Tatiana does not like Sarah Palin, the republican lady from Alaska. Tatiana does not like any ladies that pose with dead trophy animals, yuck. And even more, ladies that want to bring womens rights back to the middle ages with backwards views on abortion.
Sara Palins 17 year old daughter is pregnant. What's really funny is that the boy that impregnated the daughter, had a Myspace page (not anymore) that stated that he did not want kids, and that he is a redneck that likes to shoot things and that if someone messes with him, he will fuck them up. Nice. He definitely needs to do diaper duty. Now he is forced to marry Bristol Palin, good luck. Kids having children. Why?
People are focusing in way too much that Barack Obama is "black". Really? Tatiana recalls that he had a white mom, that passed to cancer. His dad is black, so he is mixed. Right? That should be a pretty good representation of America. What more do people want?
Who cares what the next president looks like, it is what that person can do that counts. But even a moron should be able to figure that out.
Tatiana thinks that health care should be free and available to everybody. When people are healthy they can be productive. If America wants to get out of the current economical situation they need productive people. Productive is not somebody sick, that needs to file bankruptcy due to sky high hospital bills. Productive is not another dead or injured soldier overseas. War is wrong. Where does the Hippocratic Oath fit in to the health care business nowadays? If you are not familiar with The Hippocratic Oath, Tatiana is suggesting that you google it.
Tatiana read that the people that bought their own home and now have trouble with their mortgage payments are "greedy". Interesting. First you get fed all this propaganda about "The American Dream" of being a home owner. That it is better to own instead of renting. And then when the market crashes and people are stuck with a loan that makes them sick, they are called greedy. Maybe they too thought they should have some of that "American Dream". Or is that too much to dream for? Is that dream only allowed to be lived by a selected few of the population?
But the bankers that got millions upon millions in severance pay, they are not greedy. Oh no....... Now they are retired with more money than they could ever spend. Tatiana thinks this is unfair and disgusting.
Ok, enough of opinions for now. Tatiana is getting tired. She is going to put on her new pink and white Juicy pajama and go to bed.
Last night was Tatianas new best friend Sonjas last night in Alaska. Tatiana met Sonja this summer at the club and liked her a lot. But time has come for Sonja to go back home to California for an exciting, new life. Tatiana will surely miss Sonja......she will visit her in California soon.
The girls decided on going to Maxines in Girdwood for dinner, one of Tatianas favorite places. It turned out that Maxines was closed so they went to The Double Musky instead. Tatiana had heard about it, it is a rather well known place. It was packed, because as Tatiana predicted, people were spending their dividend money on dinners. Tatiana had the jambalaya and Sonja had a huge steak. It was good. The leftovers were brought back to Chhaya.
And the best part was probably that they saw a black bear walking down the road right in front of the restaurant, Tatianas first bear in freedom sighting. It was really cute, like a big dog. It's kind of fun that you can see bear and moose walking around the neighborhood in Alaska.
Now Tatiana wants to see a wolf.
So today many Alaskans are getting their personal dividend fund money. That's right, it is an Alaskan Holiday! This year it is a nice amount and many will spend it on things like a new tv, dinner at The Double Musky, fishing equipment etc. And many will spend it on the girls at The Bush. That's probably the best way to spend the dividend fund, Tatiana thinks. A dance from Tatiana is like therapy, you will immediately feel better and that feeling will be long lasting. Tatiana will put a smile on your face and erase any problems from your life, at least temporary. Instant happiness and bliss!
So cash that check, stuff it in your wallet and come in to The Bush tonight. Tatiana and the girls are waiting for YOU!

It was this past Tuesday and around midnight at work. Tatiana was trotting around looking extra tasty, looking for prey when a blonde girl walks up to her, asking for a dance. Tatiana sits down for a little chat and this very cute, blonde, lithe girl precedes to tell Tatiana that she saw her 4 months ago, on stage. And that she remembered Tatiana because she had played TECHNO and wore a KANDI bracelet! That was so cute of her to say and Tatiana was very flattered........The cuties name was Amber, and she was a raver too! She was planning on going to Freakfest in Seattle for Halloween whereas Tatiana is planning for Monster Massive, of course! Tatiana has the best costume planned this year but she won't disclose it yet but there will be pics up eventually for all of you to admire......

Tatiana planned on going to work at The Great Alaskan Bush Company tonight because she knows that there must be so many men that are really missing her by now. But Tatiana is having a "feeling fat and somewhat ugly" day and that means she needs to go jogging tomorrow and to the gym on Saturday and then she will be fit and perfect again.
So she spent the day reading, cleaning, took a long walk with Chhaya and thinking about Jennifer Aniston.
Everybody feels so sorry for her because she got dumped by that wuss Brad and now recently by the creepy John Mayer. She is "of a certain age" and wants a husband and children. O wey, people feel for this woman!
WTF! If Tatiana had Jennifers MILLIONS, this woman is RICH, she would be so happy and content with life, the last thing on her mind would be to try to find some guy to drag to the altar.
If Tatiana really wanted a kid or a few of them she would adopt. Why go through the pain and VAGINE tearing to squeeze a baby out when you can adopt a child in need of care? It should be Jennifers duty to share those millions with people in need, instead she is worrying about yoga sessions and why she can't find a guy.
WHO CARES about that bs when you can get a backpack and travel the whole world and see and learn things and help other people? Or open up an animal sanctuary? DO SOMETHING GOOD?
Tatiana does not feel a bit sorry for Jennifer, she thinks this chick has everything and she is using it to do absolutely nothing of worth, that's probably why that wuss Brad left her. He felt he had a duty to do besides sit and rot in Malibu.
If you have some money, thousands, millions whatever and you need to dumo some, go dump it on Tatiana. She can assure you this will be a good investment on you part. This money will not only make her happy, it will do good for others that are hungry, cold, sad etc.

If you were at The Bush this past week, searching for Tatiana, you probably got disappointed because she wasn't there........Don't worry, she will be back, soon!
Tatiana went on a roadtrip. And now she is back. It is never fun to be back to reality from roadtrips but thats' life for now.
It was a great and fun trip! Tatiana spent one evening at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer before heading for Chena and Manley hot springs. The hot springs were really nice. She also thought about going to Circle hot springs but is saving that for another time. She also visited Talkeetna, Nenana and some other places on the road and spent a few days in Fairbanks where it was sunny and warm!
Alaska is beautiful. Tatiana hasn't seen enough of it yet.
But now it's time to entertain all her fans and her future fans at The Bush for a while........
OH NO! Ellen DeGeneres got married to Portia! Tatiana is going to griev and wear black for a whole week! Ellen was supposed to be with Tatiana, hello!!!
Tatiana loooooves Ellen, she is funny (just like Tatiana), she wants to live on a farm someday and take care of every animal that needs taking care of (just like Tatiana), she likes to dance (just like Tatiana). So many things in common!
Tatiana thinks her and Ellen would make a great couple! Now she needs to come up with a plan so Ellen dumps Portia. Though Portia was Tatianas favorite on Ally McBeal......
Next time Tatiana goes to Los Angeles she needs to make sure she runs in to Ellen and then Ellen will fall in love with and marry Tatiana.
On a serious note though......Tatiana is happy for Ellen and Portia. They are cute. But Tatiana and Ellen would be better together, Ellen just doesn't know it, yet.......
Stayed in and watched a movie tonight, a movie that inspired me to come up with a blog. I really like foreign movies, yes they are subtitled, even better. So this one is called "Russian Dolls" and is a sequel to "L'Auberge Espagnole". It's about a guy and his search for and encounters with women. So at the end he sits down and reflects over these encounters and he writes (this could also be a woman writing because it is fitting for both women and men). "If I think about all the girls I've known, slept with or just desired, they are like a bunch of Russian Dolls,. We spend our lives playing the game, dying to know who'll be the last, the teeny-tine one hidden inside all the others. You can't get to her right away. You have to open them one by one, wondering, "Is she the last?"
It's kind of like that, isn't it? This love thing. Looking for it, having it, think you are having it, crying over it, obsessing over it, loosing it. Some people find their mate early on, get married........and are happy? Truthfully happy or keeping up a facade? Of course there are plenty of happy married people. But.....
I had a long conversation with a man last week that had been married for 20 years, whereas 12 of the last have been sex-less. He wished it could be different. Never cheated, didn't dare to. Can't divorce her because she will end up with half or more of all that he has worked for. I suggested that he would have an honest talk with the wife where he would explain how he feels and tell her that he will find other sex partners but still be married to her, he told me she would never understand. It was sad. I am sure she has her own version of the story but is just seemed sad.
Is this life? Love? I am sure it can happen to the happiest of couples. My latest book is "I don't: A contrarian history of marriage" by Susan Squire. Goes into detail about the history of women and marriage. Oh dear.........Not a pretty story, the history of marriage is not like a Hollywood romance.
I am for relationships but I don't think that marriage is my cup of tea. But life is, oh so unpredictable, I might one day reflect back at this blog a married woman. Hopefully, truthfully happy with my choice.
I am about to watch another movie now, an Indian movie and eat some chocolate.

Friendship......what a beautiful thing it is......
I have some friends and I care deeply for them and I am loyal and thoughtful.......I hope.
Many people have been in and out of my life, the ones that are still there are the ones that managed to be a friend back. Giving and receiving in one of the keys in a friendship.
Have you ever heard the expression that friends are he family we choose? That's what I believe.
I will be your best friend but if you start acting bad I will eventually have to end the friendship, probably a bit reluctantly in the beginning. I form attachments to my friends but once I realize it is done, then it's done. I am very forgiving and understanding - to a certain point.
So what made me start writing a blog about friendship? Not sure, maybe because I am in Alaska, far away from majority of my friends and I miss them.
But my best friend Chhaya is here and she is the cutest, cuddliest friend I could ever ask for. She is my precious angel.
Read in the paper today about a woman that had her beloved late pitbull successfully cloned. It resulted in 5 healthy puppies. She loved this dog so much and formed a very special bond with him after he saved he life.
Well, I am not working tonight, staying in watching movies. Nice.
