AVAAZ

Welcome to Chaos !!

AVAAZ

AVAAZ means "voice". It's the world's largest web movement. No, not like Facebook where people feed their egos and put up pictures of only the most happy or flattering moments in their life and collect hundreds, thousands of "fake" friends.
To be totally honest with you my dear fans...... I too have a Facebook. But I will not share my Facebook here because I made a promise to myself to ONLY be friends with people I actually KNOW (like my Mom), it's nothing personal at all. I actually update the blog much, much more than my Facebook.
On Facebook I have a meager 54 friends. That's nothing compared to what most people have managed to collect on there.
But I can honestly say that I know or have some sort of relationship with every single one of the 54. It's old friends, some new and family members. Sure, I could sit for hours and friend request hundreds of people and tell them all about my blog hoping to get more readers, that would actually be pretty smart.
But for now, I decided to keep my Facebook and my blog separated.
Maybe I should create a special Tatiana blog Facebook thing but I don't think I have the energy for that.
As far as what other people do on Facebook and the amount of "friends" they have collected or whatever else they do, I don't care much.
I have photographer friends on there that promote their work, so the more "friends" they have the more they are seen. That makes sense. And my good friend Andree that is the general manager of the Crazy Horse show, that you can enjoy in Las Vegas and Paris. Of course it's in her and the show's best interest to reach out to as many people as possible.
I always have a strong disliking for anything "fake" (besides fake eye lashes), I mean more like fake personalities, I do not like those, that's why I have my 54 friends on Facebook. Because I know that I will be able to know them in real life as well. Or maybe I am just not a very popular person, hence the amount of friends.
That could be it too. Ooooooh well...........!

But back to AVAAZ.......it's a place where you can go and learn about currents events and problems that are going on here on this lovely planet in constant turmoil that we all share, all 7 billion of us. Not counting the animals and insects.
On AVAAZ you can sign a petition to show your support for the ongoing "The World vs Wall Street" movement. I am urging you to sign if you can't attend one of the many protests that are happening all over the US right now.
I am quite isolated here in Kenai, I know that there was a protest last weekend in Anchorage and supposedly there will be a new one this weekend.
So instead of attending, I am signing. Please sign too!
Sign heeeeeereeeee!
And when I go to Vegas, I will try to march in a protest if there is one while I am down there.
So the protests. Crazy! I thought it was only students in France that yelled and took to the streets when their government did something to piss them off. Or angry muslims somewhere in the middle east. And now it's happening here, in the US. People are actually getting up and away from that comfy couch and marching and shouting in the streets!
That is great, I am impressed! At the same time a little scared. Is this the end as the world as we know it? Will December 21, 2011 actually mean something rather significant to us? Is there actually something to that Mayan prophecy? Will there be another war? Like a World War? Will there be enough food? Water? Medicine? Should I start stocking up on Midol now?
Maybe people will be forced to eat less meat? That would be great!
Hopefully all of this will result in some positive changes.
The age of Aquarius is upon us.

"These days there are people who are going all over the places to find out the truth, the enlightenment. And there are so many books available, so many people who talk about enlightenment. And this is only in this special age, which I call as the Blossom Time, is happening. If they are not seeking the truth, that means they are not yet evolved as this should have been. But this is a special time that we call as the Last Judgment and that time has come. In the Koran it’s called as Qiyamah and described very clearly what will happen at this time. All these have been indicated in all the books which are, I would say, mystical or we can call as religious—whatever you may call it—the mystic part of it. They’ve all indicated this time, this time by the end of this century, this should happen."
The Paraclete Shri Mataji.

Let me put an end to this entry with two quotes from the late Steve Jobs. He seemed rather enlightened judging from some of his statements and quotes I've read. I also think he liked raves and Burning Man. Don't you?

"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes ... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. ... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. ... They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

"Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me ... Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful... that's what matters to me."

That sound like a real Jobs!

    I just read this somewhere

"Thirty years ago, we had Steve Jobs, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope. Now we have no jobs, no cash and no hope."

But being bad thinking is this manner, we could add - have no jobs, no cash, but lots of hope! Even beyond December 2012! Just dont stop wanting to create something wonderful...

"As it was clear that the Sixties were over, it was also clear that a lot of the people who had gone through the Sixties ended up not really accomplishing what they set out to accomplish, and because they had thrown their discipline to the wind, they didn’t have much to fall back on. Many of my friends have ended up ingrained with the idealism of that period but also with a certain practicality, a cautiousness about ending up working behind the counter in a natural??food store when they are 45, which is what they saw happen to some of their older friends. It’s not that that is bad in and of itself, but it’s bad if that’s not what you really wanted to do. (Steve Jobs, 1985) "

So maybe AVAZZ is a good start!

Tati - I do agree about FB - that is I only "friend" people that I've actually met and spoken to and I'm likely to hang with again. I do make an exception for relatives, such as cousins overseas who I hope to meet someday. FB was really handy during my surgery/recovery as I posted most of my updates there and it's the means that most of my family and friends knew what was happening. So FB definitely has it's place in my book.

On the more philosophical note - I'm not 100% behind the protesters. I'm not saying they're wrong or wall street is right - far from that. I do believe many people made decisions that they should never have made and it's too convenient to blame the devil or banks or evil lenders for everything. I believe it's a shared responsibility and it's better to move on with life then try to find blame. Please read my last blog post - I touch on the subject and I welcome your thoughts. --ben
