Life Goes On

Welcome to Chaos !!

Life Goes On

December 27.....a few hours left of today. Life goes on. I wonder where I will be next year on this day - my birthday. Time will tell.
I am eating chocolate (Dajm) and drinking tea. I will probably watch a few more episodes of SKAM in a bit, I am on season 3 now. Later I am taking Chhaya out for a night walk. I promised her that. We went to the park earlier today. I got a latte and a nutella croissant. More music videos before I go to sleep. Work tomorrow. Yes.....life goes on. I'm still upset over George Michael. I wonder what happens when you die? Many thoughts in my head.

Further on the subject of your Blog... Oh wow, I just heard on the television news tonight that actress Debbie Reynolds died today at age 84 just ONE day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died yesterday at age 60.... wow, what a coincidence of timing.

YES, "Life Goes On" It is up to each of us to make the most of the time we have, to treat others with respect and to make a positive contribution to society, especially in our circle of friends and where we live. I know that I always wonder what will be said about me when I am gone... I am doing my best to make certain that it will be good. I am pretty sure that you feel the same way.

I love your 2 pictures of your silhouette against the clouds in the early evening sky. Beautiful!

Blessing to YOU and Cchaya and wishing a good year ahead for you both in 2017.

Please continue writing in your blog... it has become an enjoyable and calming early morning ritual for me to read about your life views and events before I head off to work at my school. My middle school students like to see me being calm!!

    All my best...
    Carla 😍

Carrie Fisher was Debbie Reynold's daughter? I did not know. But again, I never watched Star Wars. Are you a fan? I know many are......
I think I have decided to try to find ways to contribute more good to society next year.....I have been thinking about that quite a bit.
This year 2016 has been a difficult year for me but I'm still standing (like Elton John says) and I haven't lost my mind yet at least and I want to do good deeds. I'm glad I am not the only one. Go Carla!
I have also been thinking about not writing the blog anymore.
I can't make up my mind on that one......but thanks for reading!

In addition to good works and good deeds I want to live a responsible, fruitful and enjoyable life with my friends, family and acquaintances having an enjoyable and worthwhile relationship with me.

I think of my middle school students and how I can positively affect their lives and help them to prepare for the future. Personally I know that I experience great pleasure with past students coming back to me with warm thoughts of appreciation.

While it is certainly a good thing to look back at the last year and contemplate the changes you will consider making to make 2017 a better year but New Years resolutions are not something I seriously do... and only just once a year.
I make revisions to my actions, views, and life path on a regular basis and more frequently than just once a year.
From what I have seen, many folks that make grandiose New Years resolutions don't seem to be able to follow though with successful results.

Again, in my opinion, it is always a good exercise to review your previous year with hope of gaining insight about improvements in your life decisions and actions in the coming year.

And YES, please keep writing your blog but of course YOU are the one that has to make that decision based on your life plans and events. I have myself have considered making a more public blog but I have not made that decision yet.

I remember many of my teachers from school. I think being a teacher is probably very rewarding but also a great responsibility, if done right. It sounds to me like you do it right.

    Tatiana:
Yes, correct, being a teacher has for me been very rewarding especially seeing past students excel a few years later in their high school educational goals.... then in several more years it will be fun to see them starting jobs and careers. I live in a small town so I will definitely see some of them around and about as they become adults.

Absolutely true.... thank you for that. ❤ ❤ ❤
It also can be an awesome responsibility... for good and for bad.... I am very aware of that.

Brought in 2017 today by cleaning, purging, and organizing the entire house. Christmas stuff all put away now... less clutter, less stuff=more happiness. :-)

Tomorrow, my last day of "vacation" will be spent grading, updating grade-book, developing lesson plans, and gathering materials needed for tomorrow.... the first day of classes after the Christmas break. As long as the roads are plowed and sanded, school won't be cancelled.

At the end of the week I have my formal meeting with the principal. The students are doing a close read on the freedom of speech. Should be good. So far this year they have had amazing timing with the walk-throughs so I am looking forward to this one.
I love my school. The bar is set high and no slackers allowed!

    Are you working on Monday?
Any more positive Yelp reviews that you want to share.
    All my best to you.
    Carla 🙂
