Sunday Stuff

Welcome to Chaos !!

Sunday Stuff

Let me tell you about my day so far....cause you want to know right? ;-)
I woke up at 11 am but didn't get out of bed until about 12 30, it was raining and gray outside, cold too and I did not feel motivated to jump out of bed all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Instead I curled up in a ball and drifted in and out of sleep. Finally Chhaya had enough and basically told me to get out of bed. She comes up and sticks her nose in my face and whines. Sunday usually means doing errands for me. Not sure why I have to do errands on a Sunday like most people with "normal" jobs also do but I do. Started out with a latte for me and treats for Chhaya. Kaladi started collecting money for the local animal shelter, I like that and I contribute.

I found a super cute mermaid made in Haiti from recycled metal. I love it, this piece is called "Talking With The Fish". I love mermaids and this is a great addition to my collection. I found it at Northcountry Fair, a very nice shop in Soldotna where they have all kinds of good, quality things. More mermaids are coming in soon, I will be back. I love and collect nice mermaids and faeries.

Here is some of the other stuff I got today. I have birds and squirrels to feed, they count on me. And I needed more lashes and eyelash glue.

And this is what I had for dinner. Edamame soybeans, two mangoes, Noosa yoghurt which is my latest obsession and some coffee cake. Chhaya got beef stew, natural and organic.

The rain stopped, the clouds parted, the sun is out and the sky is blue. I'm going to finish my tea, feed the critters and walk Chhaya.

That is so wonderful that you feed squirrels. A few years ago I lived in this house that had so many squirrels and the neighbors wanted to get rid of them. I started feeding them I would buy a pound peanut bag and just have a feast. Because of that cardinals, blue jays will come also to eat peanuts. The pool area was screened but I always left the doors open for the squirrels to come and drink water. So one day I hear the squirrels screaming and the birds chirping really loud. A hawk was in my patio and could not get out. You know the food chain system was at my house. So I went outside with a large towel, and chase the hawk until got tired. That is when I grabbed him wrapped it in the towel and cover its eyes. He was so big and felt this rush of adrenaline that I had this magnificent animal in my arms. I took it outside and he flew away. Nature its just so amazing.

What an amazing experience! I'm glad you helped the hawk.
